textured doily
Hello everyone,
First of all thanks for visiting this space even if I haven't posted anything for sometime.
I'd like to share with y'all a crochet doily that I'd tested recently.
It's a wonderful textured doily pattern designed by Ramalakshmi and the pattern is available in English and Russian. The pattern is available here
Happy stitching!

stole,panel & dress
I'd
crocheted a couple of things but couldn't share it immediately 'coz
was busy with classes/workshops.
stole crocheted with acrylic yarn
panel for sling bag crocheted with cotton thread
Baby dress crocheted with cotton thread
I
want to be an active blogger but need either more hours/day or
someone to help me run the business.Unfortunately I can't afford it
at this stage so will try to post whenever I can.
Hope
y'all will remember me and read my ramblings even if I blog once in a
while.
Have
a great weekend!

doilies
A
couple of weeks back I was looking for some black beads in my stash
closet and found some blue crochet threads inside a bead box.I
absolutely have no idea why I kept threads in a bead box and felt
like kicking myself .
I
ended up crocheting two doilies instead of kicking myself :-)
I
tried different settings in my camera and lighting but couldn't
capture the exact blue shade...
Have
a wonderful weekend!

scrappy squares...
I
have boxes full of left over #20 size Anchor crochet cotton
threads from earlier projects. My mother and I leave our
thread/fabric scraps in the same place so it was easier to sort them out.
With
no plan in my mind I began crocheting small squares...
I joined some of the squares with black thread.
Initially I thought black
might over power the other colours but now I kind of like it..
But
I am still not sure whether to go with black or change it.Please feel free to leave your thoughts..

blue threads and more laces..
I'm
working on the roses and leaves inside the inner frame of the
blue/white cross stitch project and this is where it is right now.
Also
started a knitted aster doily from McCall's needlework
treasury book. It's a round doily and I've finished about 1/3rd
of the doily
I've
crocheted some laces too ..the white lace is attached to a towel and
the bands are for a pillow.
Both the patterns are from Ondori lace
book.
A
foggy view from my balcony :-)
I took
this photo yesterday morning around 8 and the photo below was taken
few months back from the same angle..
Happy
stitching!

lace again..
I was working on different laces this
week.I've finished drafting the pattern and chosen the colors for my
next embroidery project.
Tatting lace with #20 thread and a
shuttle for a friend..The pattern is from an old Coats and clarke
book.
I've finished the knitted lace doily
that you saw last week and it's not blocked yet so will show
you the entire doily later.
Before I sign off.. thanks to all of
you who have signed up for more information about the online
class.
Have a great week end !

a fun week - sewing…crocheting…
If you have thousands of nieces like
me... ( just kidding :) but I do have a huge bunch of them ) then
you'll understand my situation for sure.
I spent most of my week sewing dresses
for dolls, crocheting tiny purses and flowers for themselves and their
dolls…
The square pattern is from crochet
today magazine.
More squares..to be made into a purse
later.
Despite all the work I just love the
kids a lot and we had a great time.I would like to share an
interesting and funny conversation I had with my neighbor's
daughter..
I had invited my new neighbor's kids
for a fun art session with the girls. We were drawing and coloring a
house,garden and a family.
Me: Do you have any brothers or
sisters?
Smart 4 year old kid : Yes,I do have a
brother.
Me: Shall we draw him? How old is he?
Smart kid: He is zero years old.
Me: what ????
Smart kid: I'm learning numbers at
school.I know zero comes before one.My brother has not yet celebrated
his first b'day and that's why I'm saying he is zero years old.
Me : !!!!! :(
Before I sign off..let me show the
sunrise from my balcony…
Happy stitching! Have a great and fun
week end!

SAL ?
Hi!
It's been a year since we had our
chikan embroidery SAL. I've received few e-mails recently from
readers asking for another sal. Since I don't know whether there will
be enough people interested to participate if I organize a new SAL I
thought it'd be better if I ask your opinion before deciding.
Please do leave a comment if you'd like
to have a chikan embroidery SAL with a different design this
time.Looking forward to hear from y'all...
Since am busy with other things and
it's holidays here I can't do a SAL immediately but will try to do
in June or July.
Before I sign off let me show a picture
of a triangular shawl
which I'd crocheted this week for a
friend, the pattern is from a crochet magazine .
Happy stitching!

Oval doily
Hi !
I am trying to complete as many UFO’s as possible before this
year end...
Here is another crochet doily which is yet to be blocked as
usual.
A reader had asked me why I’m not blocking my doilies as soon as I
finish it. The reason is I don’t have enough furniture to display all my
doilies, so I block a doily only before I display it.
I enjoyed crocheting this simple pattern especially the
trellis ….
Happy stitching!

Centerpiece
Hi !
I do crochet once or twice a week after dinner while
watching TV and I’d like to show y’all a centerpiece which I’ve finished
recently.
I loved crocheting this piece because it’s a combination of
filet and pineapples and this pattern is from an Ondori book.I think I should stop crocheting doilies until I block all the pieces ...
Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy stitching!
Anita.
