There go the trees!

April 23, 2016, a few leaves out on the tips of the branches, whether from bedroom (top photo) or living room.

April 26, and there are still some mountains through the branches!

This spring the Mourning Dove will not be the only one living in the treetops!

There's my balcony, and living room and bedroom windows! I've hastily removed the other pots from the railing and left Mama Dove the one in the middle where she's nesting.

As I mentioned on Facebook, he brought her twigs to build the next, but I haven't seen him for a few days, and she doesn't seem to leave at all, just shifts her view around.  I think the plant will probably not survive the nesting season without water, but it's a choice I readily make!  Baby birds!

Enjoy!

Stress is much lower now

Having a new home.  I know other potters who have moved recently...and hat's off to them.
This move was painful, physically and psychologically.  Muscles just don't do this kind of work any more...and my body complained.  But the biggest surprise was how my mind just went into freeze several times an hour.  Then of course there were a few times when I blew my top without much reason.  Ask my son about that.

After first load, or maybe second, on Friday....you can still see the carpet!

But my wonderful crew all had a major handicap of pouring rain over 99% of the time...and it was cold...unless you were lugging furniture or a few zillion boxes.

I have moved more than most people have in their lives.  At least 25 times.
I'll try to count the places again when I'm falling asleep.

My ancient TV is hooked up to cable again...now if only there's something broadcast I want to watch!

What was I doing now?  I think I've been overwhelmed most by getting up to go get exactly one thing, and being waylaid by about 30 others, and sometimes forgetting completely what I started to do.
But the good news is that I've started the 30 other things, and maybe finished one.
And I keep coping with not knowing where things are packed...so a paper towel was the coffee cone filter this morning.
Set up partially completed.

New and old changes

New ideas always coming to mind.

A flat decorative tray, can be used for food, or other things.  Just thought I'd try out some new ideas.

Today I'm actually trying something else new - going to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.

So while Vicki Lane is teaching nearby in Brasstown, NC, and Linda Starr is in the mountains of Blairesville, GA...I'll be tramping through the forest of the Appalachians to see some big trees.  Can't wait!

For the 5 years I've lived here, this old garage full of junk has looked back at me whenever I look out my living room windows.  And last week it was finally removed.  Yay.

There is a big space there, and lots of cars.  But the jolly green porta potty is still there.  And the construction guys still use it and let the door slam every time.  I know their bathroom habits by now!

Thanks to

for including my blog several times in the review of April, 2015.

There are lots of blogs about pottery, and well worth perusal when you get the clay off your hands and look at the little screen in your life.

Time out today...

Barbara is being homemaking woman a la Spring Cleaning today.  She will return when she's able to breathe clean air without dust flying around.

Quoting from my facebook entry, "I'm making myself sit down after each major spring housecleaning chore. So now I'm sipping peppermint tea liberally laced with honey (you thought I'd say something more powerful, didn't you?)...after getting the bedroom curtains in the washer. I am determined but trying not to over do things...next is dusting the desk and putting the laptop back in there instead of here on table at living room window. Soon to look at mountains and trees while typing!"
