Clarence the customer service officer…

Clarence the customer service officer from Epicooler was very helpful, when I phoned to get a refund for the two Epicoolers that I had purchased. I told him that they didn't perform as stated and that I wanted to return them. He said that he would send me a email with what to do.

The Epicooler company refunded 1/2…

The Epicooler company refunded 1/2 purchase price and did not request the return of goods.
I do think they should change there description of the Epicooler as it only heats and not cools.the fan to cool is not strong and the air coming out is room temperature. The back of the unit says.'Wall mounted Heater

Refund from EpiCooler

I paid in good faith the amount of $233.70 American dollars for this unit. It arrived and did not cool at all. It is just an expensive heater. I contacted the company immediately and said how it was false advertising saying it was an AC which it is not. After many attempts by me to get a full refund I in the end accepted a 70% refund as by this time I was very stressed. This was done within the 30 days refund guarantee. I am out of pocket $67 Australian dollars but was told to keep the unit. Please do not buy one if you need it to cool. Placed order on the 14th February and it arrived on the 27th February. Lesson learned.

I believe this situation involves…scam

I believe this situation involves misleading and unclear pricing as well as unfair refund practices.
Firstly, the product price on the website did not clearly show the currency, which led me to reasonably assume the price was in AUD, as I am purchasing from Australia. However, the payment was later charged in USD, which resulted in additional financial loss due to exchange rate differences.
Secondly, the product does not perform as advertised. The cooler produces no cool air at all, even when set to 16°C. In fact, it performs worse than a simple $10 table fan.
When I contacted customer service, they initially offered a 40% discount if I kept the faulty product, or alternatively asked me to return the item at my own non-refundable postage cost in order to receive a full refund. At that stage, they did not mention that a replacement option was available.
After I returned the item and provided the tracking number and postage receipt, they then claimed that my name and order ID could not be found in their system, which delayed the refund process.
Only after two days did they finally process the refund.
Unfortunately, due to the return postage cost and the currency exchange difference between AUD and USD, I have still suffered a loss of approximately AUD $60.
As an elderly customer, I feel this whole process has been unfair and misleading.

It is cheaply made

It is cheaply made, and nothing like it was advertised. Instructions are bad. It came with a heavy, metal circular disk.. have no idea what it is for as it is not mentioned in the manual

So far I am super impressed by the ease…

So far I am super impressed by the ease of the website site. It is so easy to navigate through to super deals. Even though to the checkout it just flows through and it makes it so quick and easy with no sneaky surprises when your payment has finalised. If the products are as good as everyone is saying and they keep the prices at such competitive rates. I know that I will be a loyal long-term customer and I will refer as much business as I can to support their business as much as I possibly can. Fingers crossed 🤞.
