Decals

Hi !! Am back with another post!! And this one again is a post with a difference!!

Any guesses?  This is vinyl on a glass bottle!!  Yes! And I got it from Sristhi!!
We made two of these as keepsake. Am thinking of putting a tea light candle in there or just some LED string in the evenings. P and D represents our names.

She has made many wall decals . You can check them herehere , here and here. I have seen them personally and not just me , but my daughter loved them too. My daughter has been eating my head off to get some for her room too, which I have been postponing from long :D
Think now I might have to get them after all.

Bottle to Hairband Stand

  Hi All!!!
This used to be a juice bottle.....

Now it is  A Hair band stand :)

I had done a hair band stand earlier too... but since I had used a thin bottle inside, the hair bands used to fall off....  So I used this wider bottle . I tend to forget to take photos when I am doing a craft... But this time I managed to rake a few photos
Cut the bottle to the required length... and wrap it using a cloth....

Apply generous amount of glue and yes... a bit of stitching here and there will make it more secure.

This is what it looks like after the stitching... and you will need some ribbons to decorate it...

And some bling tooo :)

My older hair band stand with my new one..... Much wider ....

The stand with my daughter's hair bands and a few glares...

Stone to Photo Frame

Hello!!!!!
Yesterday I was just experimenting with paper, watercolor and nail paint ... and my daughter who was sitting beside me and watching me said, Mom!! When I grow up, I want to be like you.... Create things like you do...
It was such a simple sentence and yet it makes all the difference to me.... She has always admired her friends' mothers who work and often asked me why I don't go and work in an office....
Occasionally when I go out and teach in any summer camps or art workshops she is more thrilled than me .... coz she wants me to go out and work like her fiends mothers.... So when she said this yesterday, you can imagine how happy I am :) :) :)
She may want to be something else tomorrow and day after tomorrow she may want to become something else.... But I will never forget what she said to me  :)

And now coming to today's post.... My inspiration is here. As soon as I saw this , I wanted to do it...

All you will need is a stone and wire.... paint is optional...

I am soo loving this... Next time I am going to do the same using a bigger rock and am going to keep it natural and yes... a family album should fit in it.... so I guess it should be a tree instead of a branch..... I am getting soo many ideas.... see ya ...bye...

Clay .....

My daughter loves making things using clay and here are some of the art work that she has done recently...
Though now clay has been banned in the house since she has eczema and it has increased alarmingly since one month.... I am hoping everything will become fine and once again she will start playing and creating beautiful things from clay....

This one is my personal favorite because after I taught her to make those rosettes , she made the whole thing on her own....

We made these two together.... and enjoyed it a lot too....

Latest craft from my daughter....

This is a card for her friend's Birthday
We used a few wedding cards ,buttons and a paper from some ad champaign...
So I can say that this card is made completely made from recycled items :)
My sister and her room-mate have collected a lot of papers, mostly wedding invitations they get in their office and other pamphlets..... This is one of those papers they had given.....

We cut the basic shapes first and then sticked them.... on this paper
