Sugar and Spice Lexi's Creations Challenge 108



Lexi's Creations Challenge #108 Fancy Folds


The challenge is anything goes and I chose an easel card with a Mo Manning image and a FDC (Fairy Dust Crafts) sentiment. Love both the image and sentiment, I think they make a perfect match. It is a Birthday card for our great granddaughter who turns 2 and who I think looks a bit like her, the same soft  blond run away hair, the toddling feet and both cute as a button :)! Aren't die cuts wonderful, they make the most lovely embellishments. This was fun card to make!

DT Card for Lexi's Creations Challenge # 82 - Fancy Folds




It's a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and this fortnight  the challenge  is 'Fancy Folds' , so no ordinary cards with just the usual one fold, we want to see multiple folds. I choose an easel card for mine!
The challenge will run Jan 21st - Feb. 22nd, 2013.   I'm so looking forward to seeing your creations so please head on over to Lexi's Creations for all the details and some awesome inspiration  from my most talented teamies!

I started out making a 'petal card' but I kept getting everything topsy turvey so ended up pulling most of it apart and using what was savable to make a fan shaped piece  which I attached to the front of the easel card. I left a gap at the top so I could  put a tag and/or gift certificate or money in it. Added the tag and a bow, and left it well enough alone!! The bottom portion of the easel was much easier. The beaded circle was another left over from the petal attempt, added a rose and a few embellishes and called it a day.. maybe some day I will try the petal card again, and then again maybe not:O)

It's a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and this fortnight  the challenge  is 'Pink' (breast cancer awareness month)  and you have to use the colour pink as the main colour but it can be used with other colours. The creation does not have to be about breast cancer but of course it can.
