Time To Celebrate..Happy Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It has been awhile since I have posted on my blog. Today I am sharing a birthday card using a Cut and Emboss die that I recently purchased. Card is 5" x 6 1/2".

Anna Griffin Corner Pocket Dies - The white corner pocket is cut and embossed using my Cuttlebug machine. This set includes three dies. This die set is made for the Empress Embossing machine, but I have now cut and embossed two of the dies. The third die is too large for the Cuttlebug. Does that mean that I will have to buy an Empress?

Cricut Cartridges:
Insert Shape:
Card is cut 10" wide x 6.5" high from white cardstock. Yellow patterned paper is cut 4.75" wide x 6.25" high.
Anna's Window Box Cards - Time to Celebrate is cut 1.715" wide x 3.25" high. Two of the yellow roses with the small blue flowers are cut 2.153" wide x 2.75" high with one cut using flip feature. Middle rose is cut smaller, but I did not record size.
Anna's Vintage Florals - Iris is cut 2.89" wide x 4" high.
Anna's Soiree Lettering - Butterfly is 1.75" wide x .831" high.

Inside of Card!

Anna's Gracious Giftables  - Rose Boutonniere. Two of the yellow flowers are used inside card.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Birthday to You is written with the Cricut Bluebonnet pen on a  3.75" wide x 4" high white cardstock.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Easter Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have looked at many images in Cricut Design Space trying to decide what I wanted to put on an Easter card. Remembering an Anna Griffin Cut and Emboss folder in my stash, this is what I decided to do. I liked the design so well, that I chose to make 2 similar cards using the same Cuttlebug folder. Cards measures 5" x 7" cut from Recollections cardstock.

Cuttlebug: Anna Griffin Mix and Match Embossing Folders and Dies -Calligraphy Frame and Happy Easter folder. I used Recollections Shimmer Cardstock White Gold for the embossed mat.
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder used on the yellow basket.

Cricut Cartridges: Pink Card
Anna's Window Ledge Cards - Each card is cut 10" x 7".
Anna's Vintage Florals  -  Large flower group is cut 2.492" wide x 3.25" high. Small flower group is cut 2.3" wide x 3" high. These are used at top and lower edges of card. Double flowers in basket are cut 1.75" wide x 1.215" high. Florals inside the card are cut 2.25" wide x 1.562" high.
Create A Critter - Basket is cut 1.653" wide x 2.25" high.
Easter Blessings - Phrase Easter Blessings is cut 4.25" wide x 2.59" high and placed inside the card.

My First Screen Divider Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
For this card, my friend Cathy challenged me to make a Screen Divider Card. This is another new card style for me. I chose to make a Spring birthday card for a friend. I looked at tutorials and card examples on Pinterest. I followed along with the video directions by Dawn O. Papers are Colorbok white, Recollections green, and Anna Griffin patterned paper.

Rather than cutting the card and panels using a hand cutter, I added the measurements in Cricut Design Space and let my Cricut Maker do its magic!

Cricut Cartridges:
Using Insert Shapes in Cricut Design Space, I added a square and sized it to 11" wide x 5 1/2" high. It is scored at 2 3/4", 5 1/2", and 8 1/4". Fold card in center, then outer sections back on itself.
Insert Shapes for the panels - 2.25" wide x 4" high for patterned paper panel, 2.42" wide x  4.15" high for the green panels.
Lacy Labels  - Label #M3D540 - I used a portion of the larger label of the group and the slice feature to remove the lower part of the four white sections. I did not have a suitable punch so I tried it with my Cricut.

Anna's Vintage Florals - Carolina 2 -Larger group of flowers, Clusters - white and pink group.
Anna's Vintage Phrases - Happy Birthday and Fun with Friends
Anna's Planner - Rose Dot Flag cut 2.25" wide x 1.859" high
Anna's Fantastic FlipCards - Butterfly 1.15" wide x 1.162" high

Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Edge Punch used on the top of the screen divider.

I like the way this turned out. Of course, I had to use my favorite colors - pink and green. I think it will be pretty displayed on a desk or tabletop. Hope you like it and maybe you are inspired to try this different card style.

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 320 Sketch

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Can you believe it is already June! Time seems to be flying! Today begins a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. For Ch. 320, we have a pretty sketch for you to use on your project!
My card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. Other papers are left over papers from previous projects.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffin Modern Vines folder is used on the green paper. The embossing adds pretty detail to the paper.
Swiss Dots folder is used on the white circle mat.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Vintage Florals  - Sunflower on front of card is printed and cut at 1.83" high x 2.58" wide. Extra sunflower was cut for the inside but I failed to record the size. I love the flowers on this cartridge!
Anna's Gracious Giftables - With Love is printed with the Cricut Midnight pen on a 2.25" wide x .736 high purple paper.
Ribbons and Rosettes - Circle Accent is cut 3.50" wide x 3.47" high. I aligned the circles on the green paper and hand trimmed the excess off.
Inside the card--
Anna's Fantastic Flip Cards - Sentiment is printed with the Midnight pen on an inserted 4.083" square. I just purchased this cartridge. Cartridges were out of stock on HSN when I tried to purchase. I was happy to see the cartridge is now available through Cricut!

Recollections gemstones are added to the side of card.

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! Ch. 319 is Anything Goes. This may be one of the favorite challenges. Our challenges do require the use of a die cut!

I am late in making my blog post. We had very severe storms in my area on Sunday night. Just a few broken limbs at my house but many folks have had massive clean-ups with home damages and vehicle damages. My parents' place had lots of damage. Some areas have been without power for more than two days. Thankfully no one was injured. My Internet access has just been repaired.

My card measures 5" x 7"  and is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. Other solid papers are Recollections and patterned paper is from K&Company.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffin Mix and Match Folders - Calligraphy Frame is used on the pink paper. Happy birthday to you is embossed on the white paper.
Eleanor Laces Cut and Emboss folders are used on the two yellow images.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna Griffin Vintage Florals - Carolina 4 flower group is cut 2.3" wide x 3" high. I cut two images and used pop-dots between the layers.
Inside the card----
Anna's Sophisticated Soiree  - The white chain label is cut 4.50" wide x 2.39" high.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2 - You Are So Special is printed using the Cricut Pink Crystal pen on the white label.

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 316 Feminine in honor of all Mothers

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! Mother's Day is fast approaching and for Ch. 316 we ask that your card/project be Feminine in honor of all Mothers. My card is 5" x 7" cut from white cardstock. This will be my first Mother's Day without my Mother. She went to her Heavenly home in February. Though not physically present, she will be with us in our hearts. It is kinda hard this year for me to make these cards, but I needed to make a few for friends and family.

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Anna Griffin Baroque Frame

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 315 May Sketch

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Can you believe it is May already? Time seems to be flying! Today begins a fun sketch challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. My card is white cardstock and measures 5" x 6 1/2". K&Company Patterned papers and Colorbok papers are used for my card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Vintage Florals - This cartridge has 15 images of pretty florals that are print and cut images. At the present time, this seems to be my go to cartridge for floral images. Cluster of flowers is cut 3.25" wide x 2.18" high. I cut two images and placed pop dots in between them for added dimension. The image was glued on the tag.
Anna's Christmas Kitsch - Tag 2 is cut 3.01" wide x 4" high. I eliminated the small opening on the tag.
Anna's Elegant Embellishments 2 - Make a Wish is printed on an inserted 2.71" wide x 4" high rectangle using the Cricut Midnight pen.
Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments  - Butterfly is cut 1.35" wide x 1.55" high.
Inside the card:
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2 - Sentiment Happy Birthday to You is written with the Midnight pen on an inserted 4.75" wide x 6.25" high rectangle.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffing Woven Diamonds folder is used on the white tag. I used Dew Drop Versa Magic Pixie Dust ink to highlight the embossing.
