Shaker, Wobbler Birthday Card, a Remake

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. A new month means a new challenge at Stick It Down Scrapbook and Card Making Challenge in FB. There are several opportunities to join with three sketches to choose from.

My Favorite Things just said its goodbye to its crafting era. I am saddened to see another great crafting company close its doors. I remember my first MFT product, which I still have, believe it or not. I also remember where I bought it, a brick and mortar store here in St. Louis, which sadly closed a long time ago. I also remember joining the MFT blog challenges, winning once last November 2021. Lots of great memories. It just shows how anything is vulnerable to the changing times. I want to thank Kim, MFT's owner, for all the great things she has brought to me in the crafting world. I wish her well and maybe I will cross paths with her again in the future.

This card is a tribute to MFT using MFT products from my card stash.

This is also a remake of a card I created a long time ago. I had a bit of technical malfunction with the shaker feature of that card. I really wanted a seamless shaker card at that time but I was not able to contain the shaker beads. With the developments and improvements in crafting, I was able to figure out how to fix this problem.

I stamped the images on watercolor paper using Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink so I can do a no line coloring. I used the Misti Stamping Tool to stamp the images. With the texture of the watercolor paper, I needed to re-stamp the images. The stamping tool was a big help on this part.

I stamped five images from the MFT stamp set to follow the number of balloons on the sketch.

I colored the images using a newly acquired Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors Noveau Set of 24. I already have the set of 36 colors and also own several single watercolor pans. I love this watercolor brand! The new set offers muted colors which is a great addition to the 36 color set.

After  I watercolored the images, I fussy cut the images leaving a narrow border around it.

I used pattern papers from Doodlebug to complete my scene. I trimmed the green checkered paper at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I traced the wavy road die on this panel. I cut the panel on the traced lines and erased the pencil lines.

I die cut the wavy road die on a pebbled patterned paper. Using the split panel as guide, I positioned the wavy road die cut on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" light weight paper. I lightly traced this with a pencil. I colored this traced road with a black marker. This black coloring will show through the wavy road die cut.

I adhered the wavy road die cut to the white cardstock panel using the traced lines as guide. I erased the pencil lines. I lined the wavy road die cut with a double adhesive tape. I wrapped this panel with a left-over plastic film packaging leaving one of the ends open. The double adhesive tape served as a trap to keep the shaker elements. I poured seed beads on this wavy road pocket. It was a bit tough with the narrow opening that's why I chose a very small shaker element, seed beads. I closed the bottom flap to seal the shaker. Now I have a seamless shaker. This is the upgraded step of my previous card.

I stamped the sentiment on the larger green checkered paper piece. I treated this first with an anti-static tool. I stamped the sentiment using a red dye ink then stamped it using Versamark ink so I can heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. I used the Misti Stamping Tool for this purpose.

I adhered the checkered paper to the wrapped panel using liquid adhesive. I set this aside to dry.

I adhered one of the bear images on the road portion of the panel using a mini wobbler. I adhered the other bear image and the larger tree with foam adhesive. I adhered the other tree and the stop sign image with liquid glue. I used a portion of the negative die cut to ground the car.

I inked the edges of the green checkered panel to mute down the brightness.

This is the old version of this card having the same shaker and wobbler elements (https://ienjoywhatido.blogspot.com/2016/02/masculine-interactive-birthday-card.html).

Below is a short video showing the interactive elements of this card. It is scheduled to go live later at 4pm CST (My 13 year old posted it that way.) I hope you come back to see it.

I hope you join this month's Stick It Down Challenge. We can't wait to see your take on this month's sketches.

Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

3D Space Pop-up Card

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. I created this card to join the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge. The theme is Up, Up, and Away!, create a project with fun things in the sky.

I used a black watercolor paper for my card base. The size of my the panel is 8 1/4" x 6". It is a left over paper that's why the short end of the panel is smaller than usual but it worked.

I painted the panel with Finetec Mica paints to create a galaxy sky. I splattered white metallic paint over the panel. I forgot to tape the watercolor paper to a board so I had a bit of warping but hardly noticeable. After this panel has dried. I trimmed 1/2" off from each side of the long side. I scored this at 4 1/8" and used a bone folder on the fold for a nice crease. This painted panel will be the inside of the card.

The stamp I used is the Lawn Fawn Out of this World stamp set. I stamped the images on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I stamped the images twice to create a mirror image. This stamp set comes with a coordinating die set which I don't have, but these images are easy to fussy cut.

For the pop-up mechanism, I cut a square on acetate. I drew a spiral on a paper. This paper has the same size as the acetate. I used this paper as the template for the pop-up mechanism. I placed the paper behind the acetate and cut the acetate following the spiral line on the paper. I adhered the tip of the spiral acetate to the the right side of painted panel. I used Ranger Glossy Accents to adhere the transparency to the watercolor paper.

I applied a dot of Glossy Accent on the center of the spiral and folded the card towards the acetate. After the Glossy Accent dried, the acetate pop-ups up when the card is opened.

I adhered the planets to the acetate, adhering it back to back to sandwich the acetate and hide the glue.

I created a foldable pop-up mechanism for the astronaut and the spaceship using a folded strip of cardstock. These images flatten when the card is folded and pop-up a bit when the card is opened.

I heat embossed a sentiment using white pigment ink and white embossing powder.

For the card front, I die cut the LF Giant Happy Birthday die on a black, starry patterned paper. I also die cut this on hollographic paper. I adhered the hollographic die cut on the back of the patterned paper die cut offsetting it for a shadow effect.

I adhered this to the front of the card. This sentiment die cut can stand alone because of its large size. Since I have an extra sun stamped, colored and fussy cut, I adhered this to the front of the card.

I die cut a smiley face from the LF Make Me Smile die set on a left over black watercolor paper.

I hope you like today's project. Below is a short video showing the pop-up mechanism of this card.

Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

3D Pop-Up Snow Globe Card

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. I am a guest designer at Send a Smile 4 Kids for the month of December. This month's challenge is Winter Cards 4 Kids. I hope you join their challenge.

My snow globe is not the typical snow globe with shaking elements inside. I created a snow globe that can fit inside an envelope, then pop-ups for display once taken out of the envelope. I also created a place to write a message on.

I used products from Lawn Fawn because of its kid friendly images. The LF products I used are:
  1. Snowday Remix 6x6" petite paper pack
  2. Ready, Set, Snow stamp set and coordinating die set
  3. Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-on die set
  4. Winter Village stamp set and coordinating die set
  5. Stitched Hillside Borders
  6. Tiny Tag Sayings stamp set
  7. Mini Picture Frames die set
I die cut the patterned paper using the shaker add-on dies. I adhered an acetate on the back of the window die cut.

For the layers, I partially die cut the bottom of the window piece so I only end up with the base piece. I die cut this piece on the same patterned paper I used for the window piece. I trimmed this in half. I scored this pieces at 1/4" on both ends. This will be the connecting piece for both the window and back die cuts.

I adhered one of the connecting pieces to the left side of the background die cut. I adhered the other end to the window piece making sure that the bottom portions line up with each other.

For the snow banks, I partially die cut the snow slope included in the shaker add-on die set. I partially die cut this so I can extend the height of the slope. This slope will be adhered to the background piece.

For the middle snow slope, I used a 4"x2" piece of white cardstock. I die cut the slope on this piece using the border die. I used the piece without the stitching detail to coordinate with the slope on the background piece. I scored each end at 1/2". This will be the tabs that will be adhered to the connecting piece.

I pounced Versamark ink to the snow slope. I poured Judikins Iridescent Embossing Powder to the sticky ink then heat embossed it.

For the elements of the snow globe, I stamped the trees from the LF Winter Village stamp set on the trees patterned paper from the paper pad. I used a green dye ink for stamping. I die cut the trees using the coordinating die. I added snow details to the tree using a Marvy Snow Marker.

I stamped the snowmen from the LF Ready, Set, Snow stamp set on white cardstock. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink since I am coloring the images with Copic markers. I used the same colors as the patterned papers in coloring the snowmen. I die cut the snowmen using the coordinating dies.

I adhered the tall slope on the background piece. I then adhered the trees to the background snow slope.

I applied liquid glue to the left tab of the middle snow slope. I adhered the tab to the connecting piece of the snow globe. Once the glue has dried, I adhered the snowmen on the middle layer snow slope.

I stamped several snowflakes on the back of the acetate. The snowflake stamp is from the LF Ready, Set, Snow stamp set. I used Stazon Cotton White ink in stamping.

I applied liquid glue to the tabs on the right of the middle slope and the connecting piece. I flattened the snow globe to adhere the tabs to the window and background pieces. I made sure that the bottom edge of the snow globes are aligned. I set this aside to dry with something heavy on top of it for better contact.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock using the same green dye ink I used for the trees. I used the Misti Stamping Tool in stamping. I re-stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink. I poured clear embossing powder to the sentiment, then heat embossed it. I die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. I adhered this to the front of the snow globe.

I die cut two pieces of the background on green cardstock and another piece on patterned paper. I scored one of the green cardstock pieces about an inch from the top to create a fold. I adhered the other green cardstock die cut to the back of the snow globe to add stability to it. I applied liquid glue to the top portion of the scored green cardsctock die cut. I lined this up with the back of the snow globe. Now, I have a place to write my message for the recipient.

To embellish the back of the snow globe, I partially die cut a holly patterned paper using the background die. I stamped a sentiment on the center using a stamp from LF Tiny Tag Sayings stamp set. I used the same green dye ink I used for the trees. Since the sentiment is small and the design of the patterned paper is busy, I die cut a frame from the LF Mini Picture Frames die set on the same green cardstock I used earlier. I adhered the frame to the holly patterned paper making sure the sentiment is on the center. I adhered this holly patterned paper die cut to the back of the snow globe, underneath the score.

Below is a short video on how this snow globe looks like when taken out of the envelope, and how it pops up into a 3D snow globe.

I hope you like today's project. Thank you for visiting my blog. Thank you, SAS 4 Kids challenge blog for having me again as a GD.

Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day! Have a joyous holiday to you all!

Dancing Witch Card

Hello! Happy World Card Making Day! I am a guest designer at Send a Smile 4 Kids for the month of October. This month's challenge theme is Holiday/Celebration 4 Kids. There are lots of ways to interpret this theme especially with the coming holidays. I chose Halloween since most kids love to dress up and do trick or treating during this holiday.

Keeping in mind that I am creating a card for a kid, I decided to make an interactive card. The focal point of the card, the witch's legs swing left to right as you can see on the video below.

The dies I used for the witch and the legs came as a part of a Halloween die set given to me by my co-worker, Janelle. It came unmarked so I am not sure what company this die set is from. The details of the witch's legs are cut individually making it prone to misplacing a piece. It would have been nice if this die set came with a solid piece which you can adhere to the back of the detailed piece. I die cut the hat on purple cardstock twice. I did the same with the legs using black cardstock this time. I adhered the die cuts on top of each other for some stability. Since the legs have some missed pieces, I adhered it to another black cardstock. I trimmed of the excess up to the edge of the die cut being careful not to cut the detailed leg piece.

I colored the detailed parts of the hat and the legs with Karin and Altenew acrylic markers.

I positioned the witch's legs on the back of the hat. I die cut a circle on the legs die cut. I adhered circle foam tapes on the top back of the witch's hat making sure that I do not apply any tape on the area where the legs will swing. I adhered another circle foam tape to the lower back portion of the hat, inside the circle opening.

For the background of the dancing witch, I added glue to a white scrap cardstock. I adhered a Halloween tape to this glue. I smoothen the tape with a bone folder. I die cut this piece with an arch die from Hero Arts. I die cut it larger than how I wanted it so I die cut this again using the next smaller size of arch die.  I die cut two more arches using this die on white scrap cardstock. I adhered this white arch die cuts to the back of the taped arch to add a bit of dimension.

For the back panel, I trimmed a black cardstock at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I stamped halloween sentiments from old My Mind's Eye stamp sets to this panel using white pigment ink. I set this aside to dry.

I adhered the arch die to the center of the stamped panel. I adhered the frame I created earlier to the panel. I adhered the dancing witch next, adding a dot of glue to the foam adhesives for extra support.

Now, you can freely swing the legs to and fro which you will see on the short video below.

I hope you like today's project. I hope you join this month's SAS 4 Kids challenge and also consider donating your card/s. There is a tab on the SAS 4 Kids for what cards are needed at the moment and another tab to whom you mail the cards to.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

Unicorn Pumpkin Shaped Card

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. I am a guest designer at Send a Smile 4 Kids for the month of September. This month's challenge theme is Cute Fall/Halloween Cards 4 the Kids. I hope you join in this month's challenge.

Halloween is very memorable to me, crafting-wise. I remember creating classroom give-aways for my three grade school sons. It was busy since I create close to a total of 60 pieces classroom give-aways. That's why I am super excited to create a Halloween card for a kid.

I used products from different companies for this card. The pumpkin die is from Honey Bee. The eyes, ears and horn are from Pinkfresh Studio. And the flowers are from My Favorite Things.

I did  a couple of free hand trimming on the pumpkin and ears to create the layers.

Would you believe that the unicorn's eyes were also fussy cut? The unicorn eyes came as stamps only. Stamping on the pumpkin will not work because of the gaps on the pumpkin. To create this, I stamped the eyes on the back of a black mirror cardstock. I fussy cut the eyes using the stamped impression as a guide. The black mirror cardstock has a white core. I lined the edges with a black marker to hide the white core.

I die cut the horn on the same black mirror cardstock, then stamped the horn on this die cut using Versamark ink. I used a gold embossing powder so it will match the gold outline of the pumpkin.

For the flowers, I die cut these on different colored cardstocks. I added stitching details to the flowers using DMC variegated floss. I added a circle die cut to the flower centers. I arranged these flowers on the pumpkin and adhered it using a liquid glue. I added a drop of Nuvo to the flower centers and set this aside to dry.

To make this into a shaped card, I trimmed a heavy weight cardstock at 8 1/2" x 2". I scored this panel at 4 1/4". I positioned the pumpkin die over this note card with a little bit of the die hanging over the folded edge. Cutting it this way will preserve the folded edge, thus, coming up with a shaped card.

I stamped a sentiment to the inside of the shaped card before adhering the card front to the back of the Unicorn Pumpkin.

There is an odd piece on the floral arrangement. Did you notice it? If you did not, watch the short video below to see the magic surprise.

I hope you like today's card. Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

Action Characters Glow in the Dark Birthday Platform Card

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. I created this card for a boy, Ollie, who celebrated his third birthday this December. This is especially made for him since it features all his favorite action characters. It reminds me of my sons who at one point loved action characters too.

I searched online for free downloadable pdfs of the action characters that Ollie loves. I uploaded this to Cricut Design Space. This is one great thing I love about Cricut that's why I can't give up my machine despite its unpopularity in my crafting. I had problems cutting my file as a whole despite using the flatten function. I should have opted for the jpg version of the images to avoid this problem since I have no intent to cut and layer the images. Anyway, I settled with fussy cutting the images.

I cut the platform on blue cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Platform Pop-up die. I trimmed off the scallop border. Instead of using the back panel die included on the set for the background, I cut the building using Cricut. I also cut a building without windows by editing the same building image in CDS. To remove the windows, I used the Contour feature. The building cut image is from Cricut Going Places cartridge. I increased the width of the building to 5 1/4" which is the same width as the back panel of the platform when cut.

Using the score marks of the platform as a guide, I scored the building. I adhered the solid building cut to the back of the windowed building cut. I added Glow in the Dark Nuvo Drops to the windows. I set this aside to dry. Once dry, I adhered this to the inner side of one of the platform die cuts.

Working on the platform, I folded it on the scored marks, reinforcing it with a bone folder for a crisper fold. I wanted the top portion of the platform to be black. I partially die cut a black cardstock twice using the platform die. I strategically positioned the cardstock to the part of the die that cuts the top portion, the one with the open slot. Since some of the sides are intended to be scored only, I used this scored line to guide me where to trim. I adhered this to the top portion of the platform.

For the tabs that will hold the action characters upright, I die cut a tab on black cardstock and acetate. The tab die is included in the Platform die set. I adhered the Teenage Mutant Ninja print out on the black tab die cut. I cut off any excess.

I adhered Sonic on the acetate tab using a double adhesive tape. I snipped off the excess.

For spiderman, to make him float, I adhered him to a strip of acetate using double adhesive tape.

For the sentiment, I die cut the birthday celebrant's name using the My Favorite Things Spell Anything Alphabet Die-namics on a darker blue cardstock. I adhered this to the front of the platform.

I die cut a banner on white cardstock using a die from the Lawn Fawn Fancy Folded Banners die set. I heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment on this using Wow! Flourescent Blue embossing powder. The sentiment stamp is from Simon Says Stamp Sentimental Circles. I adhered this banner to the top front edge of the platform.

I enjoyed creating this project. I was having so much fun that I finished this in one day. Can't believe it myself.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day! Happy Birthday, Ollie!

Hello Kitty Birthday Card

Hello and welcome back! For today's post, I created a card for a college friend who is celebrating her birthday this month. This is actually a belated birthday card since I was out of the country on her birthday. To compensate for the delay, I allowed her to make a special request on what she wants on her birthday card. She has two choices. One of them is a Hello Kitty card. I can't say no to that being a HK fan myself.

First, I want to say thank you to Icon Ape for the free HK SVG file. After I downloaded the file, I uploaded this to Cricut Design Space for cutting. The cut file does not include a silhouette cut file. I am unable to edit the cut file in CDS to create the silhouette. The tricky part is you have to space the cuts evenly including the tiniest cut created. I highly suggest to begin with the large cut parts like HK's face.

After I put HK together, I set this aside to dry. I also added a heart balloon from CDS. I added a shadow to the heart to tie in with the HK image. To do this, just click on the offset button on the menu bar on the top. Toggle the slider bar to the size you want your shadow to be, then click accept.

I heat embossed the sentiment on the heart balloon. The stamp I used is from Lawn Fawn #Awesome stamp set.

For the background, I die cut a teal patterned paper using a stitched edge die from the Mama Elephant Peek-A-Frame Creative Cuts. I created my own background using a garland stamp from a HK stamp set. I repeatedly stamped this on the teal patterned paper using a Delicata White Shimmer pigment ink. After this has dried, I adhered HK and the balloon using foam tape.

I adhere this to a red cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", then to a top folding white notecard.

I added floral sequin embellishments to the heart balloon, adding Ranger White Enamel to the floral centers. I added shimmer to HK's bow using Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen. After which, I applied Ranger Glossy Accents to the bow. I added Ranger Black Enamel to HK's eyes.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

Sketch Inspired Slim Birthday Card With Shaker And Glow In The Dark

Hello! I am back home and this is my first card created in my craft room. I really missed this crafting corner of mine!

Anyway, while I was away, I had more time reading messages posted by others. One of them is a mom whose daughter turned 7 last October 13. I was not in town for her special day but I messaged her mom, that I can create a special customized card for her birthday but it will be late in delivery, if that is okay with her. She agreed to this so I asked for things that the birthday girl likes. After hearing back from her, I already have a plan on which stamp to use for her card.

Aside from person inspirations, I also look into blog challenges for another source of inspiration. I always join MFT challenges. I chose to participate in this one for this card since my focal image is an MFT product.

I stamped the girl image on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image is from MFT BB Unicorns And Glitter stamp set. The other images I am using for this card are also from this stamp set. I colored the image with Copic markers. I fussy cut the image leaving a white border around it.

To follow the sketch, I die cut an oval opening on a cream cardstock cut at 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". I stamped rainbows on these cream panels using Hero Arts Soft Vanilla cardstock to create a tone on tone effect.

I cut a pink cardstock at 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". This will be the back panel that will hold both cream die cut panels. I stamped the shooting stars stamps on this pink panel using Versamark ink. I poured Wow! Glow In The Dark embossing powder on the stamped images, then heat set it.

To create the shaker element, I trimmed a scrap clear packaging large enough to cover the open space created by the cream cardstock panels. I adhered this to the pink cardstock panel using double adhesive tape. Before securing the last edge, I poured varied sequins into the pocket sleeve.

For the strips on the sketch, I created a sentiment strip using the MFT Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-namics. After die cutting, I trimmed the letters off from the circle frame and adhered the letters to a pink vellum strip. I also used pink glittered washi tapes for the rest of the strips. The solid pink glitter washi tape was adhered to scrap cardstock first before die cutting it with a stitched scalloped edge die.

I added shimmer to the girl's dress and the letter die cuts using clear Wink of Stella. I used Sakura Black Glaze pen for the girl's eyes. I used Nuvo Mica Glitter pen for the unicorn's horn.

Here is a short video showing the shaker and glow in the dark features of this card.

I was looking for the birthday girl's mom's post and came across with her birthday pictures. I saw that she was wearing the same hairband as the girl on the stamp. Coincidentally, the colors I chose for the girl's hair and the hairband flowers are similar to the birthday girl's hair and hairband. Isn't that amazing?

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

Wizard Inspired Greeting Card

Hello! This is my first post as a Trinity Stamps Design Ambassador. I am very excited and also grateful for this opportunity. I hope you support me and my fellow ambassadors.

I created this card for my third son's upcoming birthday later this month. No, he is not a Harry Potter fan but he loves to read and he read the Harry Potter series. I actually bought this stamp set, the Trinity Stamps Magical Wizards stamp set, for my sister. She is the Harry Potter fan. I am also using the Trinity Stamps Magical Wizards Coordinating die set.

I stamped the images on Neenah cardstock. I colored the images using Prismacolor color pencils. Usually, I stamp, color and die cut the images using the matching die. Sometimes, I end up having offset die cuts. Yeah, this made my face cringe especially after all the coloring. Luckily, the images on this stamp set are small so I can start all over again. This time, I changed my process. I die cut without stamping the image. Leaving the negative cut on my stamp positioner, I pieced in the stamp on the open area. I picked the stamp with my stamp positioner. I added a piece of tape to the back of the negative cut. I pieced in the blank die cut. I then stamped the image.

The main focus of the scene is the boy. I trimmed off the top white border of the scarf so I can adhere it flushed to the boy's chin. I tried stamping the eyeglasses before die cutting it but I was unsuccessful in lining it up. I don't think reversing the steps will make it any better. I just went ahead and die cut the glasses on black cardstock. I added punched acetates to the back of the eyeglasses and secured it with another black eyeglass die cut.

For the sentiment, I die cut the acronym for the birthday greeting using Trinity Stamps Marshmallow Alphabet die set. I don't have a blue mirror cardstock. Looking at my supplies, I created my own blue mirror cardstock by using an iron on vinyl instead. I ironed the vinyl to a piece of cardstock which I sandwiched inside a parchment paper. This is actually a great way to use up those scrap iron on materials.

To create the scene, I trimmed a striped blue patterned paper for the ground. I also trimmed a woodgrain patterned paper for the background. I positioned the elements of my scene but before I adhered it, I did some embossing for the wand accent.

I added links to the Trinity Stamps products I used on this card which is no additional cost to you if you decide to make a purchase. I highlighted these products for your convenience. At the same time, you can browse the other amazing products of Trinity Stamps.

Thank you for your support and thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

Grogu 'Baby Yoda' Mini Card

Hello! My son asked me to created a card for his friend who loves Baby Yoda. Thanks to this this free cut file at free svg planet, I was able to put together this instant card request.

I edited the image on Cricut Design Space, creating a layered cut file. It would have worked if I used a lightweight cardstock. The dainty layered cut did not go through the thick cardstock. Since I am pressured for time, I edited the image and made it to a print and cut file.

For the sentiment, which comes with the free cut file, I edited this to have the CDS draw it instead of cutting it. I used a Ranger Embossing pen to write the sentiment on black cardstock. I prep the area with an anti-static tool before the sentiment is drawn on a black cardstock. I embossed this with white embossing powder.

For the mini card, I am using a die from Trinity Stamps Frame And Fold Die Set. I die cut a white cardstock using this die. The size of this card when folded is 3" x 4".

I blended Tim Holtz Distress Black Soot Ink to create a spotlight. I used the My Favorite Things Spotlight Stencil as a guide where to apply the ink. I added Ranger Perfect Pearls in Perfect Pearl to the inked area for shimmer. I brushed off the excess powder. I spritz some water to the air and fanned the card towards this spritz water to help set the powder. I added splatters of gold paint to this area.

I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the front panel. I adhered the printed image with foam adhesive. I added Blank Zig Wink of Stella Glitter pen to the open areas of the sentiment.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!
