Happy World Card Making Day to all my cardmaking friends from around the Globe :)

I’m joining Simon Says Stamp today to share some WCMD happiness. The lovely Susan from SSS, invited card makers from around the globe to make a Christmas/holiday card for the Simon Says Stamp blog to celebrate WCMD!
And you can join us too! Make a holiday/Christmas card and enter the challenge HERE. 10 random winners will be chosen to win $50 gift cards to the Simon store. And one winner will get one subscription to Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine.

Super Exciting News!!

Hello hello my friends!!! Eeeek!! I am so happy to share this exciting news. It's one of my Dream Come True :)

I got an email from Holly Anderson over at Paper Crafts& Scrapbooking magazine. I couldn't believe what she had written! Me, a World Card Making Day winner :) I was (and still am) super excited. At first, I wasn't sure it was real, but pinching myself and re-reading the mail numerous times did the trick ;) I also hugged my daughter but apparently I gave her a too big squeeze so she handed me a pillow to squeeze instead. Lesson learnt :)

It was a really hard job to keep this news to myself. Now I'm even more excited! You can read about it HERE.

Paper Crafting, especially Card Making, has really been an AMAZING journey of learning more each day, making friends all over the world and I treasure all the memories I made through this hobby.
I want to thank all of my friends and followers for the support, motivation and love!

As I can't share my chosen card (it's in the "Thank You" category), I'd like to share a card I sent for the "Christmas" category.

Thank you Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking team for making my day!! HERE is a link to their post and a photo of my winner buddies for the category Jill and Virginia!

Thank You World Card Making Day Card Contest Winners: Thank You

Have a nice day!
Hugs, Isha

Unity: WCMD (Color)

This is the last challenge for the WCMD contest, it was so much fun seeing the wonderful inspirational cards on the blog every hour. The theme of challenge#8  is color. We have to use Cream, Brown, Olive and Pumpkin on the card.

I somehow could not capture all the glitter on this card. It look so pretty in real life. Love the effect.

Unity: WCMD (Coloring)

The Challenge#7 for the Unity WCMD challenge is to color. As you know I love colors and coloring, so it was perfect to take an image and my copics...lol.

I used some color core CS and rubbed the edges, it certainly gives a nice effect to the over all look of the card.

Unity: WCMD (Border)

Here we go to the Unity WCMD challenge#6, which is to use some non border stamp to create border. For my card, I took a flower image, stamped and cut it from the center and placed it to use as border.

I like this color combo very much...I will be making more cards using this :)
Thanks for dropping by.

Unity: WCMD (Autumn)

This is challenge no. 5 for the Unity WCMD contest and theme is to create a fall theme card. I used the fall colors for my card, which were inspired by this picture at The Ribbon Girl blog (I like the white with slight wood texture and the colors)

First I embossed the flower using white embossing powder and then I used some distress inks and perfect pearls to create my background. I see all these shades in the leaves around me so nature around me is perfect inspiration for these colors :)

Also playing along the Amusing challenges: Fall colors
and the challenge at WOW embossing Powder blog: Thanks

Unity: WCMD #4

So moving to Unity WCMD challenges, I am onto my 4th. challenge, which is to create a card using the sketch. Love the end result somehow.

I embossed the image using black embossing powder and colored it using some twinkling H2O...love the colors on Kraft CS.
A few more cards to come:)

Unity: WCMD # 3

The 3rd. challenge for the Unity WCMD event was to create a card using embossing. I embossed my image using black embossing powder and colored the stars using yellow twinkling H2O.

Love the slight shine. It looks very nice in real life.

Unity: WCMD

Here is my card for the Unity WCMD challenge #2, which is to use texture. I used dry embossing to give some texture to my cardbase. I also added some twine and embossed the image.

This card was so much fun to create. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Unity: WCMD

Merry Christmas (WCMD)

My final card for today. This card started as something very different but I had a image in my head. Since I love techniques, one lead to the other and I looove the final result.

What technique you would think :) Well to start with, I embossed on Acetate using 2 shades of green embossing powders, even thou it didnt turn out to be Acetate meant to heat emboss, I had to be extra careful. Then there are leaves with stamping on watercolor paper with bleeding effect. Finally the flower inked with distress inks and spritzt with pearl water.
I used my first love of Hero Arts stamps!!!I used the sketch and theme from Hero Arts October contest.

Here is the card:

Submitting this card to the challenge at
The Young Crafters Blog : Learning is fun (I tried this stamping and embossing on Acetate technique. Love the effect)

Hope you like my creation.
Thanks for dropping by.
