Hot Chocolate Bar

Hello Crafty Friends!

I know it isn't officially fall yet but I have started decorating my house.
The first place to get a little fall decor is my kitchen where I have set up my hot chocolate bar.  I am not a coffee drinker but I do enjoy a cup of hot chocolate on cold days.

I used the adorable Gnome-A-Latte stamp set from Ink 'N Splatter to decorate a wooden coaster.  I also used some pattern paper from the Falling for you paper pad.  I used a spellbinders die for the sentiment.  I inked around the edges using a stamp pad from CTMH.  The ink just happens to be called Chocolate...how perfect is that?

I created the sentiment myself using microsoft word and added die cut hearts from the Felicia Fab Girl die set

Below you can see my set up.  I have a little K cup machine and some cute pumpkin colored mugs.  My little coaster sits on top of my cake stand along with a cute ceramic pumpkin.
I use ice tea spoons to stir my drinks.

I put out a variety of hot chocolate Card Details:

Paulie Pirate

Hello Crafty Friends

I can't believe it's time to flip the calendar to June.  JUNE!!  How can it be June already?

This is my DT project for Digi Doodle Studios challenge Blog.  The theme this month is Boys To Men.
For my card I used Pauly Pirate.  Isn't he a cute pirate?
I decided to keep my card simple so I used a background stamp that I know I have had almost 20 years.

Reindeer Card

 Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you started your Christmas cards?  I started in January but I haven't checked yet to see if I am on track for having enough cards to mail out.
If you need to get started, joining in the challenge at ABC Christmas will help.
The current challenge theme is U for Up in  Air or V for Vixen

With my card I think I managed both themes since my reindeer is in flight.  I can't wait to see what you create.

Life Is A Daring Adventure

Hello Crafty Friends!

March is Women's History Month so our Challenge at Aud Sentiments is to make a Feminine project and include a sentiment.  We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and I have used Lady In Wings for my card.
I found a sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday that works great for this project.  I dug out a CTMH map stamp that I have had in my stash for almost 20 years.  I decided to not color it in for this card.
Here is the inside of my card.  I used some elements from the sketch on the inside as well.

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I get to share with you my card I created using A Gift Winnie from Polkadoodles. I had fun keeping the colors kinda soft and pretty.
The challenge at Digi Choosday is always Anything Goes but the DT is given a bit of a challenge.  This time we were to create a project for a special occasion.  I chose to make a birthday card.

Braided Ribbon Card

The current challenge at Addicted to Stamps is "Ribbon Galore"
I decided to braid the ribbon and use as a border.  It's a pretty easy technique that adds a different twist (no pun intended) to your ribbon.
For this card I dug deep into my stash of rubber stamps and pulled out this oldie but goodie.  I have had this stamp for at least 18 years.  It is from Close To My Heart and is probably retired (I haven't checked).
Card Details:
Stamp: Grape Vine Wreath Heart Wreath from CTMH

Corner leaf: Storybook Cricut cartridge

Entered in following challenges:

The new challenge at Addicted To Stamps is to stamp your background.  I dug around in my stash and found this background stamp from CTMH.  It's huge and works perfectly for a card background.  I paired it up with the plane and sentiment from another stamp set.  I love the way this looks with the blue, tan and brown.  Makes a perfect masculine card.

Anniversary Cards

I needed a couple of anniversary cards so I decided to make them without stamps.
I really like the way they turned out.  I used a previous Mojo Monday sketch and soft colors. Since I waited til the last minute to make them, I needed the blue one fast.  I had some extra time to add a little extra to the yellow card.  The pink flower trim is from Michaels.  The white lace is some my aunt gave me when she cleaned out her craft room.

Triple Time Stamping

Here is my project for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week.  The challenge is Triple Time Stamping. If you aren't familiar with this technique, you can watch this video for help.  I had never tried this technique before so this is my first try.  I pulled out various snowflake stamps to use.  I didn't want to do the usual blues for my card so I dug through my stamp pads and came up with this color combo.  Hope you like it.  The snowman is a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps. I added some diamond dust and a snowflake die cut as well.

Loves Me, Loves Me Not

I finally had some time to create with the stamps from the last Magnolia Stamp Club and the dies from the Doo Hickey Club.  what fun!  I am not sure if this card will end up in my valentine stash or aniversary stash.  I think it will work for either occassion.  I used the mini heart cutouts from the spellbinders die as embellishments.  It's a great way to use up all those little bits of confetti.

Halloween Tags

Here are a couple of quick tags I made for Halloween.  The first one is a pocket tag and will hold a gift card.  It is going into the care package for my oldest son who is in college and living in his own apartment.
The second tag will go on the treat bag for my youngest son who is also in college but living at home.  Yes, I still like to spoil them even though they are in college.  I fill their care packages with items such as favorite snacks, gift cards to go out to eat and other small items that helps make college life a little easier.  I always try to include one item that is a reminder of home.  This year that item is a box of Dinosaur oatmeal.  Both boys used to love this as kids (they still do)

Flying By

Here is a quick and simple thank you card.  This is for my son and his two college roommates.  We went to visit them last weekend for parents day at Truman University.  They made a wonderful lunch for all of their parents.  It was fun to watch the 3 of them cook.  The meal was delicious and the best part was realizing we have raised a young man who can take care of himself.

Make A Wish

Saturday is my Grandma's 94th birthday!
She is an amazing woman who still lives in her own home.
I hope I am living as well as her when I am her age.

I apologize for the sorry looking pictures.  My camera isn't working properly.  I am hoping is just needs new batteries but I am afraid the problem isn't that simple.

Anyway, this is the card I made for my Grandma.  It's a hinged card using my spellbinders dies.
I found these beautiful ribbon and lace trims at Michael's in what used to be the $1 spot but now is really the $1.50-$2 spot.

Here's the inside of the card: (again, I apologize for the pics)

Today's scrapbook layout is for Alayna's album.
