Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste - October 2022

I couldn't be any happier that Fall weather is finally here … I actually wore long sleeves today and it felt fantastic .. And an image that is essential Fall for me is our theme for this post - Pumpkins !! Celeste and I will each create a card and also fill you in on what wonderful coffee we are drinking ..

I was lucky enough to get many red rubber cling stamps from Impression Obsession before they stopped selling them individually .. They are still releasing a limited edition red rubber stamp set each month in addition to their collection of clear stamps, dies etc... I used one of my new stamps for my October's card ..

On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the Pumpkin from Impression Obsession with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam Ink .
The sentiment - from Perk Up by Close To My Heart - was stamped in Potting Soil Memento Dew Drop ink .
I placed a piece of grass washi along the bottom of the stamped panel.
The stamped panel was adhered at an angle to a piece of plaid paper.
I tied a piece of twine around the stamped panel, above the sentiment.
The completed panel was adhered to a dark green card base with foam tabs for added dimension.
Brown and gold candy dots were placed around the pumpkin.

For my coffee this month, I'm drinking Sea Salt Caramel in a new reusable cup from Starbucks that changes color when you put in the hot coffee .. I didn't realize that when I bought it - it was an extra added bonus !!

I hope you are enjoying some sweater weather where you are and also some fun coffee . There are some delicious Autumn flavors at our local coffeeshops these days and I want to try them all !!! Take care, Happy Fall and we will see you next month !!

Coffee & Cards with Deb & Celeste / September 2020

Celeste and I are here once again to have our coffee with you and share our latest cards .. I chose this inspiration photo because I have been seeing pumpkins everywhere !! We have had a cool-down in our weather here and it is such a welcome change .. Although we did have some 80 degree temps this weekend, that is even a nice change from the 100 degree weather we had over the summer .

I have quite a few stamp sets with pumpkins !! Many are pumpkin spice latte designs !! As soon as I saw the Not 2 Shabby Designs image Pumpkin Spice Everything , I bought it, printed it and colored it for this card !!

I printed the Pumpkin Spice Everything image from Not 2 Shabby Designs on Strathmore Marker Paper.
I adhered a piece of Autumn-patterned paper from a fabulous Recollections Paper Pad - Fall At The Park - to a bright yellow card base. This paper has glossy accents on the leaves.
I colored the image with my Copic Markers and added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter highlights to the red cup and the foam .
The stamped image was popped up at the top of the patterned paper with foam tabs.

I really really love this design so much and have already printed several more to make cards with. I know I will be sending several to friends during the Fall Season.

I can't wait to see what Celeste has created for our pumpkin theme !! Since we are both coffee lovers, I wonder if hers will have a PSL vibe too ?!?! It was $1 last year after the holidays. I used one last month and this is a different version of the owl mug. I am drinking Blonde Roast coffee with Caramel Waffle Cookie creamer -- it is so delicious... And the creamer is inspired by one of my favorite holiday movies Elf. Are you enjoying a nice cup of coffee or tea today ??

Take a few minutes out of your busy day and do something nice for yourself.. Read a book, create something, write a letter to a friend.. Or just sit with your favorite coffee and relax.. Thank you for joining us again and until next time - - - - Stay Creative !!

Most Grateful

We are in for some stormy weather here on the East Coast so to take my mind off of Hurricane Florence for a bit, I decided to get creative.. As a member of the Design Team for Anthony's Paper Craft, I have a variety of amazing stamps to get my creative juices flowing !! Since I am ready to be done with the summer we've had , with temperatures reaching near 100 degrees on many days, I decided to make a Fall-themed card.

I recently found the perfect 6x6 paper pad at Tuesday Morning. Fall colors and patterns had me immediately thinking of cooler temps and also cards that I could make. I decided to paper-piece my card so that I could more adequately highlight the wonderful new papers I had found.

On Kraft cardstock bases, I adhered a different pattern of paper from the American Crafts Cedar Lane 6x6 paper pad .
I stamped the pumpkins from the Anthony's Paper Craft stamp set Pumpkins onto 3 different complementary patterned papers, also from the Cedar Lane paper pad, using Memento Espresso Truffle ink.
I then stamped the smallest pumpkin once on Kraft cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The sentiment from Greetings Set 2 was stamped on woodgrain paper, and cut out.
The medium pumpkin was adhered flat to the right side of the card base The larger pumpkin was adhered near the bottom right of the card, covering a portion of the medium pumpkin and popped up using Stampin' Up Dimensional Foam Tabs.
The smallest pumpkin was adhered to the right lower corner of the card over the medium and large pumpkins using American Crafts Foam Tabs. These are thicker than the Dimensionals and allowed me to raise that pumpkin up higher.
I used the pumpkin that I stamped on Kraft paper for the stems of the patterned paper pumpkins.
All paper and images were adhered using a variety of Tombow Adhesives - MONO Adhesive+ Permanent Runner and MONO Aqua Liquid Glue.
On the largest card, I adhered a dotted border across the top and tied a bit of Orange/Black twine around that to finish the card.

Confession time -- Making these cards did take my mind off of the weather for a few hours, which was a lovely distraction. But I know I must not have been paying attention to detail as much as I normally do, because I adhered everything to the front of the card upside down. The opening of the card is at the top !! Oh well, I'm sure I'm not the only one with a story like that to tell !!
