Sympathy Card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch #518

Welcome back to another Atlantic HeartsSketch Challenge blog post!  This week our sketch features a vertical striped layout with an off center circular element and bow.  I didn't have a bow die and didn't want to use a tied ribbon so I used tropical leaves and flower from Fabulous Flamingo.  The shades of green striped paper is from "Grateful Heart" (retired Close to my Heart product).  The sentiment and leaves were stamped in Versamark Ink and then New England Ivy ink and embossed with Polysparkle Tinsel Embossing powder. The sentiment is from "Words of Comfort" (retired Close to my Heart product).  A scalloped circle die was also used to frame the sentiment.

Here is our fabulous sketch that inspired my card layout and for you to try.  Our challenge is open until Sunday evening, April 2 and you can link up your project here.  We look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving some bloggy comment love. Please stop by our blog on Wednesday to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has to inspire you.

In my previous post I mentioned how versatile the Feels Like Home paper pack from Close to My Heart is with having both masculine and feminine style papers.  This is the second card I've made with this same paper pack using the fabulous Sunday Stamps Sketch #202.  The background paper and the matted frame is from the retired Grateful Heart paper from CTMH and the sentiment stamp is from the retired Framed set in Sapphire Ink also from CTMH. The focal stamp was colored in with Marvy watercolor pencils and matted with Pomegranate patterned paper also form the retired Grateful Heart paper.
