Really want to like this, but...

I really, really want to like this device. I always forget to log my time with web-based apps. So a physical cube on my desk sounded like the perfect solution.

However, this thing is so hit and miss. The main problem is the syncing between web and mobile app. Sometimes, I want to go to the web app and adjust hours worked (can't do it in the mobile app.) But often, it either doesn't sync back to the cube, or it does it incorrectly. It's so frigging frustrating, because this could be an amazing gadget to help me hack my time blocks. Ugh.

And thanks for the feedback! Actually the sync to the web app happens through the mobile app. The mobile app pulls data from the device each time you open the app. If internet is available the mobile app will push data further to the cloud therefore making it accessible to the web app. If you are outside network, the data will be stored in the mobile app (and the device) and shared with the cloud anytime you have the network back. This is the basic pathway.
The time entries can be edited in the mobile app too, no problem. You can check our FAQ section https://timeflip.io/faq, please read "What if I forget to flip the tracker?" card.

I love this concept

I love this concept. The physical token helps to keep focus or avoid getting stuck onto something. LED lighting is great for visual notification. I would suggest adding a rechargeable battery though

Have been using Timeflip for a while and I was happy for a few months.
I went on to synchronize the device with my app (i.e. upload the data from the device to the cloud) this Monday and a catastrophy happened. The upload screwed up all the time logs for July. I have hundreds of hours logged against most days (yes 24h long days have 100hs of hours logged against them) rendering the data totally useless.

Also, the synchronization uploaded approximately 100h for each and every future day in August (yes 100h for a 24h long day), how did that happen?

I contacted support who sent me a template email explaining how to reset the device. This demonstrates that they didn't even bother reading my initial email and the details of my problem.
Reseting the device leads to losing all data on the device itself and doesn't correct any of the data on the cloud, so it's clearly totally useless in my case.

I've sent 4 follow-up emails and support simply ignored all of them. Timeflip.io doesn't care about you or the financial or other damage they cause to you. This company is a scam. Avoid at all cost.

In all fairness, the device looks amazing, it's a good toy.
If you want something to boost your productivity or make billing more efficient (which is what flip.io suggests the device should be good for), then I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Using this device can (and as my case showed will) cause you massive financial damage, potentially measurable in the tens of thousands of dollars or euros, who knows, maybe even more if you are a company with a small or big team and you get multiple people to use it at once.

Hello! First of all, we are sorry for the problem you have experienced and your frustration. We must admit, it is very wierd in its nature and needs our further investigation. Could you, please communicate your phone model and OS to our support.

Generally, Timeflip device may start logging wrong hours if the battery charge is too low to maintain a reliable BLE connection. The battery needs replacement in such case. However, it shall not affect any of the hours tracked in the past and we've never heard of such problem before. Hard reseting the device (by opening it) and replacing the batteries Does Not delete your time entries, you would just need to re-assign the sides in the app. We are not sure about how often you opened the app. There is no need to "synchronise" the device on purpose, it will sync every time you open the app. We advice that you open the app daily (at least just to check you time entries) - then it will send the data to the cloud automatically. Unless of course, if you are cut from the network for a long time, but this is a very particular case. So it is unclear fo us if you have managed to use the device for months without ever opening the app or you did not have a network access for all that period? Otherwise your time logs should have been saved at every sync and what ever happened with the device could not affect it. We can always check if there are time entries accumulated in the cloud database and push them to you.

What comes to our support: we aim to respond within 24h but sometimes it can take up to 48h and we state that in every email reply that you get. You wrote us o Thu, we replied the same day but when you inquired further on Fri we could only reply on Sat. We understand that you were upset and nervous about seeing an abnormal data, but we may not be always available to reply instantly. Please, excuse us. We are totally fine with providing a full refund to unhappy clients, as we always state. This is never a problem, you just need to let us know.

Really cool device

Really cool device! I had a bit of a trouble assembling it first. Then the support team advised me I shouldn't be afraid of pressing harder ;). What I like the most about my Timeflip is that it tracks data locally, with no need to maintain a constant connection with the app. It allows me to track anything I do, whether it's online or offline. The second big plus is that the app is totally free of charge with no hidden payments, etc.

My Timeflip experience

I like this device and the experience it brings to me. It was easy to set up everything and start using Timeflip. I don't have to keep the instant connection to the app, so it allows me to track everything I do, whether it's online or offline. No extra costs or hidden payments.

Essential for accurate time tracking!

I've been using this product for the last two years and it's helped me stay on top of billing for clients and tracking where I'm spending the most time in my business. (I'm looking at you Email). Had an issue with the board on my flip and Customer service was a great help in resolving the issue! Excited to see what new innovations timeflip will come up with in the time management space!

I ordered my product in JANUARY and feel like I've been lied to

I ordered my product in JANUARY. The delivery date was delayed/changed on me LITERALLY 5 times! When I was offered a refund 7 MONTHS after my order I said "yes please just refund me."
It's now been 2 months since I was promised a refund.
At this point I feel like my options are contacting the CEO on LinkedIn, or pursuing legal options as I feel like I have been lied to.
Is your company real or just a front for taking peoples money then stringing them along until they give up?!

We sincerely apologize for our mistake. There was a change of address and the order was lost between us and our shipper, and then after 180 days the support could no longer automatically return the money via paypal, since the return period had expired. We have now just sent you the equivalent amount to your PayPal account (screenshot was attached via email to you).

Timeflip is a great device

I'm very pleased with my Timeflip.
It works pretty well.

The offline tracking capability is awesome as I don't need to have it connected to my phone.

The only negative point is that its a bit hard to pause the tracking by double tapping the device. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

The delivery was perfectly on time.

Overall it was a great buy, exactly what I was looking for. 👍

It works!

Got my device the other day and it works fine! I've been using time tracking apps before but this funny dice is something really different. I too waited a bit longer, then they promised, though I understand they are a small team of techies dealing with all kind of issues and delays that a hardware startup might have. I wish them to go through this asap and make their support work faster) So 4 stars for now with potential 5 in future!

Dodgy company

I ordered a timeflip in January. By March it still hadn't arrived and the support told me it wouldn't ship for another couple of weeks so I asked for a refund. I was told I would get the refund in a couple of days. It's now July and I still don't have a refund. I can understand that there can be delays with production this year, but don't take peoples money unless you're able to fulfil the order, and don't offer a refund if you're not going to do it

Haven't received anything

I've ordered a Timeflip in late March. When I wrote them in April they promised to ship in the beginning of May. I still haven't received anything.
They advertise an average delivery time around 4 weeks, but that ain't true, it's more like NEVER.
