Pumpkin Season Greetings

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  My favorite season of the year is right around the corner!  That's right!  It's almost Pumpkin Season!  I could not wait to celebrate, so I broke into my August Ribbon Club to make this cheery greeting card.

Layered ribbon makes pretty double borders on this cheery card.  First, put down a layer of Russet Orange Taffeta Ribbon.  I like to adhere my ribbon with Scor-tape.  If you leave the ends long, you can wrap the ribbon around the back side of the card panel, which makes a lovely, neat edge.  Then adhere a layer of  Gold Edged Cappuccino Satin Ribbon to bring just the right amount of sparkle.  I've also used this for my bows, along with some natural burlap string, which is perfect for fall cards.

You can turn a card into a gift by adding a pocket to the inside.  Then use scraps of your paper collection to create a little gift card wallet.

If you add a pocket to the gift card wallet, you can also tuck in a little  Pumpkin Spice Chai! It's always lovely to have something warm to sip on a chilly autumn day.

Wishing you all joy and creativity!
Kathy

Copper and Cream Autumn Pumpkin

Kathy Clement Copper and Cream Pumpkin Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  It's the most wonderful time of the year!  I'm talking pumpkin season, my friends!  Nothing makes me happier than a field of plump orange pumpkins!  Unless it's a slice of freshly baked pumpkin bread!  Yum! I've found that the Copper and Cream Plaid ribbon from RRR looks fabulous with any pumpkin themed project.  Pair it up with a little Natural Burlap String to amp up the rustic autumn vibe.

The ribbon looks great inside a card, too.  Use it as a border on top of a pocket.  It makes a handy closure for a little secret recipe card pocket on the top of the card.

This is a fun way to present a few of your favorite "pumpkin everything" recipes, isn't it?  And if you're going to bake pumpkin bread, you really need to have a little tea to go with it.  So I created a cute tea and chocolate wallet then dressed it up with more ribbon.  Cute, right?  A packet of honey and a demitasse spoon complete the service.

Suddenly I find myself craving a little pumpkin snack! What's your favorite pumpkin baked good?  I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Harvest with Lilybean!

Hello everyone.  Today I'm excited to share this sweet harvest card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon and My Makers Movement using the darling Home For the Holidays stamp set and Matching Die set.  I absolutely LOVE these! I also used the beautiful ribbons and adhesives from RRR!

On my card below I used the beautiful ivory brown and copper plaid ribbon to create my bow.
To start with, I chose my design papers.  I have tons of these sheets, so I started with a 6 x 6 card base, then cut the brown in 5 3/4" x 5 3/4", then layered the design paper on that (5 1/2" x 5 1/2") the next layer was done.

The truck was stamped and colored using Copic markers.  I then used the coordinating die to cut it out, and then finished coloring it up, so no white edges showed. I stamped the sweet sentiment on the truck door using my mini misty tool. The pumpkins I did the same.

The greenery was cut using the fall pumpkin die, and cut in a green card stock, then I dusted it using the Tim Holtz peeled paint Distress Ink, and the Judykins duster. The rims, and bumper were colored in a grey metallic marker and then I added glossy accents to them.

Happy Harvest is from the same stamp set and was stamped using vintage photo.

and foam squares and tape runner refill as well!

And that sweet face you see, well that is our dear Lilybean (Lily) she is our newest member to the Walker family and is a Persian Kitten, and she is so SWEEET!

Forever Fall Book Box

Temperatures are dropping and Fall is upon us! I just love this time of year! Hello friends! Linsey here today sharing my latest altered project, a lovely book box keepsake to commemorate all the beauty and love this season holds.
The box is covered inside and out with 12x12 papers. The front is decorated with a variety of Fall stickers, chipboard and die cuts. I added a lovely array of flowers to the front as well. They include: WOC Open Roses Orange, WOC Open Roses Deep Ivory, WOC Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms White, and all edges were covered with washi tape.
The opening holds a pretty tag and features flowing Orange Ribbon from the Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon Autumn Assortment and Theresa White Crochet Lace. The tag is attached with a blue button tied with Burlap String Natural
Inside the box is a space for journaling and there are large tags meant for adding photos from the season as well as more journaling areas. More tags could be added or even small mementos to keep inside the box.
I really enjoyed putting this project together. I hope you've enjoyed seeing it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day! Until next time, happy crafting!

I don't know about you, but an autumn color palette is one of my most favorite to work with.  Such gorgeous rich colors.  I just love everything about autumn.
This time I made a Thank You card, but it could just as easily work for any occasion by just switching out the sentiment.  I created some paper for the leaf with Distress and Distress Oxide Inks.  They are so much fun to work with.
My bottom layer is a natural mulberry paper with some leaf inclusions that make it perfect for autumn projects.

For a video tutorial on how I use mulberry paper on my projects, please click HERE.
My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color double-loop bow created on my Bow-it-All Tool using two of the ribbons from the August Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I also used two other ribbons from the assortment across the center of the card under my sentiment.

Seasonal Sunflower Greeting Card

Hi there ribbon lovers.  Bonnie here today sharing a pretty autumn card featuring some pretty ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Be sure to take a peek at out Autumn category to see all the wonderful ribbon selections for the season.
Don't you just LOVE gorgeous autumn colors?
I sure do!
I specifically created this card to be flat enough for mailing in a regular envelope.
Yes, you can add ribbon and a bow and still have it be flat enough.

I used my ribbons as a center band under the focal panel and the Burlap String created a bow while still remaining pretty flat.  I'm happy to say that it made it to it's destination in great condition.
My bow was created on my Bow it All V3.0 using two colors of Burlap String.

For a video tutorial on making a basic bow please click HERE.

Autumn...

Hi crafty friends.  Bonnie here today with a fun autumn themed card to share that features some pretty ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
My card today features two of the ribbons from the August Ribbon Club Assortment.  If you aren't already a member, no worries - you can still get this great assortment!

This month we have a great deal for US residents.
You can get the August and September assortments together for a special low introductory price of just $17.00!

The August Ribbon Club Assortment is a collection of rich autumn colors and prints.  It contains 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and crochet lace.  The September Ribbon Club Assortment is a Halloween themed assortment with 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

I kept this card relatively flat for mailing.  You could even eliminate the Thin 3D Foam Tabs under the leaves to make it even flatter.

This is also a perfect way to use up those precious ribbon scraps that you don't want to part with.  I just dove tailed the end of two 5-1/2" pieces of each color of ribbon and even spaced them over the background Distress Ink paper I created.  I then added the leaf squares on top of the ribbon.
I get lots of questions about the 'fuzzy layer' that I use on a lot of my cards.

That layer is Mulberry paper and you can view a video on how I use it and where I get it HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other items used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft blog.  Happy crafting!

We Make a Great Pear

Hello crafty friends, and Happy Thursday to you all! Today I have a fun and simple card I designed using the  Really Reasonable Ribbon August Autumn Harvest Ribbon Assortment, along with a few embellishments.

On my card I chose to make my a bow using three of the ribbons in Augusts Ribbon Club Assortment. I also used the same ribbons for the banners in the left hand corner. The design papers and stamps I ended up using are all from Club Scraps September Orchard Kit. The flowers I used were already cut, and colored, I just had to put them together for my card.  The centers have a 10mm pearl embellishments. The leaves were already done, so I just had to add them. This made for a fast card, as I didn't end up doing any sewing on this one, kinda shocking....hehehehe.

The sentiment was stamped using black ink, and then I distressed around the oval using an orange and light brown. The pear was stamped 2 times and cut out once.  I colored it using Copic markers.

The yellow layer was just distressed using scissors and ink,

The big bow was made using the Tangerine Taffeta , autumn leaves grosgrain, and green satin, along with a sweet crystal embellishment.

All layers were put together using Scor-Tape and foam squares from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies Used:
White flat back pearls 10mm
Mixed colored rhinestone flower
Scor-Tape
3-D thin foam tabs
Ribbons-Assortment , or Green checkerboard Satin, Random Autumn Leaves Grosgrain , Tangerine Taffeta Ribbon

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl
