Oz Comfort Quilts.

Margaret Brown and the Nicola Crt Quilters have been very busy and Marg dropped off a car load of donations yesterday.  These included 4 lovely quilts, 


101 Santa Sacks,  303 drawstring bags, 521 tote bags,
25 sanitary pouches, 40 pencil cases with pencils, 
295 soap pouches with soap, 30 baby's bibs, 44 scent hearts,
34 crocheted beanies, 1 crocheted blanket,  3 baby's blankets, 
33 knitted premmie beanies,  12 knitted beanies and booties sets, 21 pair of knitted booties, 
110 scrunches,20 small zippered bags, 30 facewashers,  15 novelty purses,  
30 tissues/wines purses, 3 toiletry packs.


Norma Aitken kindly delivered our donations to SECASA,  ECASA and Hope in a Suitcase,  as well as crocheting 3 squares.

Earlier this week Denise Esposito and Deanna Ferg dropped in to deliver these 20 fabulous quilts.  Deanna donated the first 13, Denise donated the 3 in bright colours and their friend, Karen Varden don't hesitate last 4 lovely quilts. 

















Each quilt was labelled which saved me hours of time, and these wonderful quilts will be ideal for our Quilt Drive for the bushfire affected areas.

I've joined a very nice group of women who meet monthly to visit places of interest around Melbourne and today we visited Gulf Station at Yarra Glen. It was a very interesting place and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.  Seeing some kitchen equipment used by my grandparents brought back lots of happy memories. 

I've also received a large parcel containing 47 beautifully crocheted squares donated by Amber Darwin. 
Joan Hill from Mildura  donated 2 lovely blankets and a large number of knitted/crocheted squares. 

The Creative Living Group from Mildura sent a box of knitted/crocheted squares aswell as a lovely scarf.
Tara Henshaw,  Nicole Adamson, Julianne Purcell and Kim Henshaw sent 7 lovely cowls/scarves , 5 beanies and a large number of crocheted squares. 
Norma Aitken donated a box of fabric swell as some kits to make drawstring bags.

Vicki Anceschi very kindly helped me out again by picking up a car load of donations for Big Group Hug.  She volunteers for them and is also one of our members and I really appreciate her help as storage is limited.

Oz Comfort Quilts donated  40 blankets,  480 drawstring bags,  21 tote bags, 0ver 100 beanies,  15 scarves, several bags of handknits and a bag of soft toys.

Vicki also dropped off 60 scrunchies and 41 Santa Sacks from Big Group Hug and they will be going to Backpacks 4 Vic Kids. 
Jay Mair from the Slipped Stitches, a craft group in Ipswich,  Qld, dropped off 3 beautifully crocheted blankets. 
Vicki Tootell donated another box of items including some new soft toys, a small quilt and some fabric.

This lovely box of crocheted squares was donated by the Bermagui Yarners from NSW  and will nake a beautiful blanket. 
Linda Moody from Vic donated a lovely warm crocheted blanket,  as well as a scarf and 4 beanies. 
Annette Pearce kindly couriered these lovely donations from the Pub Yarns in Kew.  Pennie Ibbotson donated the 4 knitted "emotional support chickens" and the other 

members made the 2 crocheted blankets. 

June Crawford,  Lynda, Gina and Jan made a large number of crocheted/knitted squares. 

Jan made these 2 beautifully crocheted blankets. 
The group also donated several bags of cross stitch kits , knitting needles,  crochet hooks and patchwork items, which will be given to craft groups in bushfire affected areas.
