Puppy Sympathy

SC1108 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For my card, I pulled out my Hunkydory images and chose this adorable pup for the focal point. I trimmed the pawprint papers, added a yellow cardstock layer to give the panels a bright highlight, and built the layout around the image.

The card is finished with the sentiment popped up on dimensionals and a touch of black Nuvo Drops on the corners of the image for a clean, balanced accent.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

With Sympathy Pup

SC1100 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I started with a pawprint patterned paper for the base and layered it on black and white cardstock. The white layer was die cut and then embossed with a pawprint folder to add texture.

The dog image from Hunkydory is layered on black cardstock and popped up on dimensionals for depth.

To finish the design, the sentiment was stamped in white, layered on black, and popped up on dimensionals to coordinate with the focal image.

This card will be another of my pet donation cards.

Labradoodle

SC1098 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I started with a beautiful panel from Hunkydory and die cut the focal image from it, popping the piece up on dimensionals to add depth. The remaining panel is layered on black cardstock and then on a heart‑shaped layer.

The heart features a sympathy sentiment, and the entire design is finished on a paw‑print background panel framed with black and red cardstock.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

A True Friend

SC1096 - this week's sketch on splitcoaststampers.com

For this card, I used an adorable doghouse die from My Favorite Things and cut the layers from a mix of scrap papers. The doghouse is set against a soft cloud‑patterned background and framed with a bold red panel. The dog image is from Xcut.

To finish the design, I added a sentiment from Dare 2B Artzy and a few punched hearts for a simple, cheerful touch.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

With Love for Polly

MMTPT863 - In Honor of Polly

I am so deeply sorry to hear about our dear friend Polly. I have been crafting friends with her for many years and am eternally grateful for getting to meet her on zoom calls when we were both hosting on Virtual Stamp Night challenges.

For my card, I used this beautiful napkin that has a collage theme to it. I layered it on gold matt designer paper and then a blue layer.

The card was finished with the sentiment popped up on dimensionals and really small diamond dots that were left over from a diamond art. I love these little diamonds and love the shine and size.

Polly sent me some stamped dog images a few years back and I have found where I can purchase all of them to add them to my collection. I am looking forward to adding them to my collection so I can keep her memory fresh in my mind every time I use one.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. I appreciate the lovely comments. If you leave me a comment, I can stop by your blog for a visit.

Sympathy

FS939 - This week's featured stamper is auntof8. I am an aunt of 9 myself.  Love all of them. Here is my INSPIRATION.

I am a sucker for a pet sympathy card. Rather than the background die cut paws, I used paper. I used a similar dog but much larger and added a second one to create a hug. When it is open it shows the sentiment.

The dog die cut is from Waffle Flower.

This will be another of my pet donation cards.

FS862 - this week's incredibly talented Featured Stamper is Micheline (Micheline Jourdaine). Her gallery is amazing. I found this stunning INSPIRATION.

I love the painted scene. For me I was drawn to the flowers in the vase and I knew I had flowers in a vase that needed colored up.

USEIT2023 - Image

I colored the flowers with copics then cut the layers. Added some black matting and finished with the sympathy sentiment.
