FreeCAD is a general purpose feature-based, parametric 3D modeler for CAD, MCAD, CAx, CAE and PLM, aimed directly at mechanical engineering and product design but also fits a wider range of uses in engineering, such as architecture or other engineering specialties. It is 100% Open Source and extremely modular, allowing for very advanced extension and customization. FreeCAD is based on OpenCasCade, a powerful geometry kernel, features an Open Inventor-compliant 3D scene representation model provided by the Coin 3D library, and a broad Python API. The interface is built with Qt. FreeCAD runs exactly the same way on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux platforms.

K-3D is the free (as in freedom) 3d modeling, animation, and rendering system.

Importer library to import assets from different common 3D file formats such as Collada, Blend, Obj, X, 3DS, LWO, MD5, MD2, MD3, MDL, MS3D and a lot of other formats. The data is stored in an own in-memory data-format, which can be easily processed. www.open3mod.com/ is a 3D model viewer and exporter based on Assimp that is also Open Source.

FrankMocap is a monocular 3D human capture system that estimates body, hand, and optionally face pose from a single RGB image or video. It regresses parametric human models (e.g., SMPL/SMPL-X) directly, producing temporally stable meshes and joint angles suitable for animation or analytics. The pipeline couples a robust 2D keypoint detector with 3D mesh regression networks and priors that keep results anatomically plausible. It can run frame-by-frame or with temporal smoothing, and includes demo apps for live webcam capture as well as batch processing. Outputs include textured meshes, joint locations, and model parameters that can be exported to common DCC tools and game engines. The codebase offers pretrained models, clear inference scripts, and utilities to visualize results, making single-camera motion capture approachable on commodity hardware. Researchers and creators use it for motion studies, AR/VR prototyping, character animation, and human-in-the-loop editing.

GLE is a library of C functions that draw extruded surfaces, including surfaces of revolution, sweeps, tubes, polycones, polycylinders and helicoids. GLE uses the OpenGL(R) API to perform the actual rendering.

Driver support for 3D Controller Hardware. We hope to support SDL Input, DirectInput, and other major controller API's including game consoles and embedded systems.

Free 3D Acropolis is a model 3D in hight resolution of the Acropolis of Athens shortly after its construction.

BLIX is a cross-platform set of Python extension modules and Python scripts for Blender (www.blender.org). These scripts add camera calibration, 3D reconstruction and rigid body orientation to Blender.

BlueSphere is intended to become a functional 3d modeling tool similar to 3ds max and Maya. BlueSphere is mainly targeted at the modeling part of 3d ... but as development goes by, rendering will most likely also be implemented.

ColladaCGF enables exporting 3D models into Crysis, using Crytek's resource compiler and Blender/Maya's Collada exporters. Import is partly supported as well, via the Python File Format Interface.

InnerWorld is a landscape builder for Blender, the 3D modeling tool. Using a graph editor terrains can be generated from Blenders noise functions and from external sources. Objects can automatically placed dependent of the terrains geometry.

This software can be used for relief and normal maps calculation by 3D sculptors and designers. Reliefer can be called from Blender by means of Python script. It's a GPU-based visual computing application so requres OpenGL 2 compitable video subsystem.

TreeGen consists in a platform indipendent Python script which should work as a plugin for Blender. Thanks to the graphical interface, it aims to create random trees and forests in a simple and alternative way to L-System.

Armagetron Advanced modding tools! Armagetron is a Tron-clone in 3D that provides a unique gameplay experience. AATools allows you to edit the visual data for Armagetron Advanced from within Blender, a comprehensive, open-source 3d graphics program.

This is a Python script for Blender which uses short (quaternion-based, floretion-based) algorithms to draw curves in space. The user can create new shapes and curves by setting a variety of parameters.
