Spleen started as a personal challenge. Patrick Wildt (patrick@) recently imported ssdfb(4), a driver for small OLED displays in OpenBSD and needed a 5x8 font to be able to squeeze more columns and rows on those devices. As someone spending most of his time in a terminal, I have been thinking about drawing my own font for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity. Tall, condensed, bitmap font for geeks
scientifica is largely based on creep, with a number of minor tweaks to improve readability (a matter of taste of course). A pretty sweet 4px wide pixel font. I never found the pixel font that was perfect for me, so I decided to roll my own with creep. It is a pretty compact (only 4px wide!) font that's great for smaller screens (like my 11" laptop). I'm constantly adding in new characters (diacritics, box-drawing characters, etc.), so I figured I'd put it up on GitHub for people to reap benefits of this.
