Open Source Swift Code Formatters for Linux

SwiftFormat is a code library and command-line tool for reformatting Swift code on macOS or Linux. SwiftFormat goes above and beyond what you might expect from a code formatter. In addition to adjusting white space, it can insert or remove implicit self, remove redundant parentheses, and correct many other deviations from the standard Swift idioms. Many programmers have a preferred style for formatting their code, and others seem entirely blind to the existing formatting conventions of a project. When collaborating on a project, it can be helpful to agree on a common coding style, but enforcing that manually is tedious and error-prone, and can lead to arguments if some participants take it more seriously than others. Having a tool to automatically enforce a common style eliminates those issues, and lets you focus on the behavior of the code, not its presentation.

Input masks restrict data input and allow you to guide users to enter correct values. Interface Builder struggles to support modules imported in a form of a dynamic framework. For instance, custom views annotated as IBDesignable, containing IBInspectable and IBOutlet fields aren't recognized properly from the drag'n'dropped framework. When you cut text, characters get deleted yet you won't be able to paste them somewhere as they aren't actually in your pasteboard. Shortly after new text is being pasted from the clipboard, every UITextInput receives a new value for its selectedTextRange property from the system. This new range is not consistent with the formatted text and calculated caret position most of the time, yet it's being assigned just after set caretPosition call.

SwagGen is a library and command line tool for parsing and generating code for OpenAPI/Swagger 3.0 specs, completely written in Swift. It contains a Swagger library that can be used in Swift to load and parse Swagger specs. SwagGen is a command line tool that generates code from a OpenAPI/Swagger 3.0 spec. Templates for any language can be written that leverage this generator. SwagGen includes a bundled template for generating a client-side Swift library for interfacing with the Swagger spec. It includes support for model inheritance, shared enums, discrete and mutable request objects, inline schemas, Codable and Equatable models, configurable options, generic networking stack, and many other niceties.
