BIRT is an open source technology platform used to create data visualizations and reports that can be embedded into rich client and web applications. Developers who use BIRT Designer are able to access information from multiple data sources easily and quickly in order to create reports and applications with stunning data visualizations. Actuate now provides a free report server, BIRT iHub F-Type, to deploy BIRT content so developers don't have to build their own infrastructure. With a flexible Open Data Access framework, developers can write custom data drivers to access data from any source, including Big Data sources like Apache Hadoop, Cassandra, and MongoDB, along with all traditional relational databases, Flat Files, XML data streams, and data stored in proprietary systems. Built for embedding, BIRT includes APIs for data access, chart generation, output formats, content execution, and integration within larger applications.

EMFTrace extends the EMFStore repository by elicitating dependencies between related models of different modeling and programming languages. The explicit recording and modeling of different types of dependencies as traceability links shall support evolutionary changes by impact analysis, early evaluation of quality flaws, and better comprehension. It is an open source project to support the practical application of research results regarding development methods for evolution of software architectures and for software reengineering. EMFStore is used for integrating models and source code from different tools and vendors, while EMFTrace provides means for dependency detection, dependency visualization, and change impact analysis.

Green, an Eclipse plugin, is an advanced yet simple UML class-diagram tool, developed primarily for student use. It does live round-tripping, so it's easy to move between diagram and code views. It's extensible: users can define their own relations

JITTAC is an Architecture Consistency plug-in for Eclipse that helps maintain consistency between the architectural design and the implementation. The SBeaVeR editor is an Eclipse based plugin that allows business modellers and analysts to create fact-oriented business models and rules based on OMG's SBVR standard. It is part of the DBE project.
