    Freebasic Beginners Guide

An updated Beginners guide to FreeBASIC

The purpose of this project is to create and update a beginners guide to FreeBASIC. Over the years I have noticed that there was only three real ways to learn FreeBASIC. The FreeBASIC Documentation, the FreeBASIC Community Forum, and A old beginners guide written by Richard D. Clark and Ebben Feagan. Each of these sources are great, but they all assume some experience with a programming language. This Project is taking Richard D. Clark's and Ebben Feagan's "A Beginner's Guide to FreeBasic" and is editing, updating, reorganizing, and simplifying this guide. Mr. Clark and Mr. Feagan generously open sourced there guide so I could start this project. Without being able to stand on their shoulders I could not have even started this project. Please check out my homepage for updated information and ways you can help with this ongoing project. If you can please buy me a hamburger as it is hard writing a book.

    Bingo Cards

    Bingo Cards

Prepare bingo cards game for any educational purpose.

The idea is simple. Instead of solving exercises in serial form in the classroom, it is better to wrap the solving exercises experience with a game similar to Bingo. The students will love it and the teacher will have a very nice time! This extension provides Calc with a tool able to create Bingo Cards and the corresponding interactive document to play the game in the classroom. The teacher type in the Bingo sheet the questions and the corresponding answers and he/she gets the cards in the Bingo Cards sheet. A printer is required to print the BINGO cards and a scissor to cut them apart while the classroom should be equipped with a projector and a computer running OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Download BingoCards-3.1.4.zip and unzip in your computer. Please install the APPROPRIATE .oxt for your system, the other versions will NOT work! Some representative examples are included. For any comments do not hesitate to contact me at epdiamantopoulos@yahoo.

This is an interpreted programming language that is designed to teach young children the fundamentals of programming, hiding away from students the complex concepts of programming, such as parentheses, quotes, data types, arrays, while allowing them to understand the basic concepts of programming, and, move to a more advanced language. It also serves as an exapmle on how to create an interpreter with QBASIC. The interpreter is written in QBASIC, and is licensed under the GNU GPLv2. About the unixname: The "shortname" of the project was a typo, but it was too late when I actually realised it. Features that still need to be implemented: Boolean expressions (IF) (If I ever find a flexible way to implement them, because you can't parse user input to a boolean command in QBASIC, without using a dynamically changed BAS file, which is going to fail if using it compilled) The source code should be compiled with either QB64, QuickBASIC or freeBASIC (with the -lang qb switch enabled

    General Knowledge Machine Project

    General Knowledge Machine Project

Intellect Modeling Kit: assisting research, diagnostics, consulting

We humans are bound by intellectual abilities. All knowledge is far beyond power of any person. The only way to apply knowledge is to build machines able to present it human way but not limited by volume. Intellect Modeling Kit (IMK) is intended to build knowledge machines (KM) assisting experts on the steps of activity: * Observation; * Producing propositions based on knowledge; * Elimination of impossible propositions; * Selection and verification of the most appropriate propositions; * Memorizing - new knowledge item creation; * Abstraction – building objects representing typical signs of similar objects groups, data mining. KM is not intended to replace human experts, it is built to multiply abilities. Machine should not be responsible for decisions. The IMK is designed to create ready-to-use software applications using simple text files. Any human knowledge can be uploaded to KM by expert not familiar with software coding. Demos present in kit. Good luck!

cde4php - Cross Database Engine for PHP

cde4php - Cross Database Engine for PHP

Uniform Database Abstraction for PHP Development

Debby has replaced CDE in the Tina4Stack, you may want to check it out at http://tina4.com CDE is a PHP class which implements the general database functions in PHP and provides a common SQL platform for php development where developers change their databases but not their code. Supports Firebird, MySQL,Oracle,SQLite, MSSQL(both drivers),CUBRID,ODBC. CDE now supports date uniformity, param passing & BLOB handling across all the databases supported. CDE is not a replacement for PDO, in fact we may implement PDO in CDE to standardize PDO results and calls. Some PDO drivers are still regarded as EXPERIMENTAL on PHP website, so use with caution. Feel free to suggest any features you wish to be added or submit a bug report with the tracker
