This small tool allows the user to graphically examine ddrescue's mapfiles in a user friendly GUI application. The Main window displays a block grid with each block's color representing the block types it contains. Many people know this type of view from defragmentation programs. The program is written in Object Pascal using the Lazarus IDE. It can be compiled to run on Windows, GNU/Linux and probably OS X, too. The downloads include binaries for the respective target platform and the project files (source code). Update 2022/02/25: ddrescueview version 0.4.5 has been released. This maintenance release restores compatibility with ddrescue 1.24 and later. Please consider testing this version. A windowed / full-screen countdown timer. Colour and font size changes are used as warnings. Progress-bar gives a glance at the time stream. Three different modes are available: - time left; - time passed; - ordinary clock. When the time is over several possibilities are available: - to show the defined message; - to continue count the time; - to launch another application; - to close the count-down timer. Useful for speech, lecture or presentation timing. Colour / font / time limits can be changed using settings window and hot-keys. To change current time use the mouse wheel. By clicking on progress-bar, the timer mode is toggled. -

FDA's f2 computation with bootstrap technique
This program was developed as a help in establishing pharmaceutical equivalence by use of FDA f2 coefficient. It was designed to help with f2 computation in cases when intra- and inter-batch variability is large, namely RSD>10%. The use of statistical bootstrap technique allows to implement confidence interval (CI) into the f2 coefficients resulting in overcoming of their major drawback in the original metrics. The algorithm provides possible “worst case scenario” of f2 values, thus supporting claim about pharmaceutical equivalence. The target users are researchers from industry and academia dealing with pharmaceutical equivalence problem. The software is Open Source. It was developed in Lazarus environment, therefore source code is available in ObjectPascal.
