Node.js client for Elasticsearch. The client versioning follows the Elastic Stack versioning, this means that major, minor, and patch releases are done following a precise schedule that often does not coincide with the Node.js release times. Language clients are forward compatible; meaning that clients support communicating with greater or equal minor versions of Elasticsearch. Elasticsearch language clients are only backwards compatible with default distributions and without guarantees made. If you are using multiple versions of Elasticsearch, you need to use multiple versions of the client. In the past, install multiple versions of the same package was not possible, but with npm v6.9, you can do that via aliasing. You will require the packages from your code by using the alias you have defined.

The nanomsg library is a simple high-performance implementation of several "scalability protocols". These scalability protocols are lightweight messaging protocols that can be used to solve a number of very common messaging patterns, such as request/reply, publish/subscribe, surveyor/respondent, and so forth. These protocols can run over a variety of transports such as TCP, UNIX sockets, and even WebSocket. This pattern is useful for solving producer/consumer problems, including load-balancing. Messages flow from the push side to the pull side. If multiple peers are connected, the pattern attempts to distribute fairly. nanomsg is a socket library that provides several common communication patterns. It aims to make the networking layer fast, scalable, and easy to use. Implemented in C, it works on a wide range of operating systems with no further dependencies. The communication patterns, also called "scalability protocols", are basic blocks for building distributed systems.

Free MySQL Load Balancing PHP script. For load balanced access to your MySQL servers when you are using MySQL replication between one (or many) master and many slaves. This script does reads on slaves and writes on master(s). It automatically checks if the challenger slave is "fresh enough" to read on it. The script is actually used in real conditions, prove of the capabilities. That also needed from me to erase some sections of the code replaced by a "TODO" commentary with instruction (you will have to adapt those few lines to your conditions). Zebra_Session is a PHP class that acts as a wrapper for PHP's default session handling functions but instead of storing session data in flat files it stores them in a MySQL database, thus providing both better security and better performance. The library is also a solution for applications that are scaled across multiple web servers (using a load balancer or a round-robin DNS) and where the user's session data needs to be available. Storing sessions in a database makes them available to all of the servers! Zebra_Session's code is heavily commented and generates no warnings/errors/notices when PHP's error reporting level is set to E_ALL. Starting with version 2.0, Zebra_Session implements row locks, ensuring that data is correctly handled in a scenario with multiple concurrent AJAX requests.

Ribbon is a Inter Process Communication (remote procedure calls) library with built in software load balancers. The primary usage model involves REST calls with various serialization scheme support. Ribbon comprises of multiple components some of which are used in production internally and some of which were replaced by non-OSS solutions over time. This is because Netflix started moving into a more componentized architecture for RPC with a focus on single-responsibility modules. So each Ribbon component gets a different level of attention at this moment. APIs that integrate load balancing, fault tolerance, caching/batching on top of other ribbon modules and Hystrix. Load balancer APIs that can be used independently or with other modules. APIs using Eureka client to provide dynamic server list for cloud.
