Open Source Java Multi-User Dungeons (MUD) Games

Crossfire is a free, open-source, cooperative multi-player RPG and adventure game. Since its initial release, Crossfire has grown to encompass over 150 monsters, 3000 areas to explore, an elaborate magic system, 14 races, 16 character classes, and many powerful artifacts scattered far and wide. Set in a fantastical medieval world, it blends the style of Gauntlet, NetHack, Moria, and Angband.

This is a nice GUI client for the Battletech MUX. It works on most platforms as it is written in Java. Makes combat much more enjoyable than plain text.

A self-guiding Flash front-end with a 100% Java-based XML parsing gateway that combines the look and functionality of a streaming game client with a background processing system for handling distributed data packages.

O projeto tem como objetivo promover o estudo e o desenvolvimento dos componentes para uma engine genérica de jogos. O foco não é produzir uma engine comercial, mas sim promover o estudo de conceitos baseados em OO para games.

!!!NOTE: THIS PROJECT HAS MOVED TO GITHUB!!! RingMUD is an extensible MUD (multi-user dungeon) engine and utility set that draws inspiration from popular tabletop RPG systems and adds a dash or two of its own flavor.
