Cloudium OS is being written in pure ASM. It's designed for speed and ease, having cloud computing in mind. It also is secure (without requiring constant user input like Windows). But, how are we going to do this? Well every os wants/says these kind of things, so to accomplish our goals we follow these simple rules: keep it simple (that's way better then these complex interfaces etc. almost nobody wants), generalize (this makes things easier and more useful without extra complexity) and be inventive (sometimes doing it the classical way just doesn't work). SimOS is an OS that will be based on the OSKIT function library. In addition we will be maintaining the oskit as a seperate release, updated as the core of the kernel. This OS will be easy to use, with numerous software versions on it.

Eclipse OS is a C++ kernel that I am starting as a summer project. Right now it is fully bootable and can accept input from the keyboard. It can also do simple tasks like detect how much RAM a computer has, or tell time. I am hoping to port C++ compiler.

OSNOS (Open Source Network Operating System) is an operating system desigend to meet the needs of small to medium networks. It will support server based applications, and will handle routing of packets through the network, and support multi-user logins.

This is the fifth or sixth generation of this idea, the big difference being that we have written some bootloader code and have started mapping out the kernel layout and structure. We have decided upon a core programming language for the kernel, and the core language for almost everything else. With a focus on isolating the MAJOR kernel features from the system itself, in what until now has remained research only instances, we hope to create a fully functioning exokerne. All code at this time will be available only via a git repository.

An ambitious project being undertaken by the teens of the UK, accepting new members, to create a stable yet powerful OS targeted at webhosting. And our main aim is to keep it simple for the newbies out there. ;)
