Search and replace operations on file content accross multiple files. Recursive operations within entire directory trees. FAR comes with support for regular expressions (regex) over multiple lines, automatic backup and various character encodings. Run grep like extractions to condense or rearrange sources, or perform bulk file renaming.

Looks at file names in a directory and finds common parts in them trying to search similar and repeated ones. Useful when you have multiple files which differ in checksum and somehow in names. You can collect them and make a decision afterwards.

This is a simplified version of the GNU Grep. Search a RegExp on a file that contain all alphanumeric characters. Use special symbols like @ and # to extend the search. Now you can set Case Sensitive option and ignore withespaces during the search.

Efficient indexing and searching (1M Weibo 500M data is indexed in 28 seconds, search response time is 1.65 milliseconds, and search QPS is 19K). Support Chinese word segmentation (concurrent word segmentation using the sego word segmentation package, speed 27MB/sec). Support to calculate the proximity distance of keywords in the text (token proximity). When a request to add a document to the index comes in, the main coroutine will send the text to be segmented to a word segmentation coroutine through a channel, and the coroutine will segment the text and send it to a word segmentation through another channel. Indexer coroutines. The indexer coroutine builds an inverted index from the search keyword to the document, and the inverted index table is stored in memory for quick recall. The main coroutine receives the user's request, segments the request phrase in the main coroutine, and then sends it to the indexer through the channel.

csart - Clever-Search-And-Replace-Text Search, find and replace text in named files or recursive in all directories (-r). If choosen, strings are only replaced if another key-string occures in the line (-w)
