MARF is a general cross-platform framework with a collection of algorithms for audio (voice, speech, and sound) and natural language text analysis and recognition along with sample applications (identification, NLP, etc.) of its use, implemented in Java.

Virtual Hypnotist is a software application that aims to provide a virtual interactive hypnosis session framework, for many uses. It is a rewrite of the Hypnotizer 2000 software. See the readme.txt file for legal info.

Winboard 4.5 32-bit is a free Windows accessible Chess program that works automatically with the JAWS or the free NVDA screen reader. It is for the blind, low sighted or those who can not use a mouse. It provides vocal announcements of position changes and other selectable board conditions. Blind players also use a separate "tactile chess board". Winboard 4.5 has full keyboard access to move pieces and run menu items. Partial sighted players use high contrast mode and adjust board, piece, most font sizes and colors. Available languages are English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Russian. Games may be viewed, modified or saved in standard PGN format. Two Chess engines supply play and grand master strength move analysis. Connect to the Free Internet Chess Server (FICS) and play humans. Modify verbosity in screen reader configurations and in the Winboard "Sound" dialog under the "General" menu. Find all documentation in the "doc" folder under the Winboard directory of your C drive.

Translating subtitles in format SubRip from one natural language to other. It is based on Google Translate without API and therefore without payment. Translator have automatic and manual spell checkers.

Wrapper for vendors to simplify usage of the Java Speech API (JSR 113). Note that the spec is an untested early access and that there may be changes in the API.

XVoice provides voice control of X applications using IBM's ViaVoice for Linux (free download at their web site). Both user-defined commands and dictation are supported. It can be used to write letters, write code, control netscape, etc.

ASR-Builder provides an easy-to-use interface to the HTK toolkit, that allows users to build ASR systems. ASR-Builder provides a platform that performs house-keeping tasks when using HTK and also provides default training/testing/recognition scripts.

AhoTTS Iparrahotsa is the TTS developed at the Aholab Signal Processing Laboratory of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) for the Lapurdian dialect of Basque. This dialect is spoken at the Northern area of the Basque speaking area (French region). This project was funded by the Euroregion Aquitaine-Euskadi under grant EUSKADI-2012-004.

AGTK is a suite of software components for building tools for annotating linguistic signals, time-series data which documents any kind of linguistic behavior (e.g. audio, video). The internal data structures are based on annotation graphs.

Auvai is a Java API and Java Swing based application for Text to Speech conversion of Unicode Tamil. Future direction of this API and application is to support Text to Speech conversion for all "Indic" languages.

Cotovía is a unit-selection text-to-speech system for Galician and Spanish. Cotovía is distributed under the GPL3.0+ license, but each of the avaliable speaker voices has its own license. The speakers available at sourceforge are free for commercial and non-commercial uses. Another speaker, free for non-commercial uses, is avaliable through external links (see the Blog section). Cotovia has been developed by the University de Vigo and the center 'Ramón Piñeiro' for Research in Humanities, both in Galicia, Spain. Its development has involved a research group of linguists and engineers. Cotovía has been developed as a research project, therefore most of the work has been focused on the most interesting aspects from a scientific point of view. Although the performance of the whole TTS system is quite good, there are some parts that could be clearly improved. Dhvani is Text-to-Speech System for Indic Languages. Current C- GNU/Linux implementation supports Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Bengali, Telugu, Panjabi, Tamil and Oriya.
