High Hopes Luigi

You know when you see a card and it sticks in your brain forever it has to be a great creation. This Luigi is a total case  of this card that Mary Giemza made several years ago. I bought this stamp specifically to make a birthday card for my sweetie...hmmm seems it took me a couple years to get it made LOL!  I bought a fun sentiment to go with it, but decided to try Mary's tutorial on making a curved sentiment in Word-boy did that work slick!

I used  all the different grey families on this one-C,W, N and T's!  My usual grey 'go to' is the C's and W's, so I thought I would pop in the other ones as well. I was also tickled to find this Amber Inks red gingham digi paper all printed up and waiting for me to use. It was meant to be!

Happy Birthday to my Sweetie!

From Carter's Closet this week!

My eyes are a wee bit tired after a long day at work...always seems you have to work so hard when you come back from vacation...sometimes it leaves you wondering if it was worth it!

I'm thinking these pics might be a wee bit blurry...or my contacts are...can't tell at midnight for sure LOL!

I made this cute little High Hopes card for this weeks From Courtney's Closet Challenge- Carter's Turn!

Now, of course I was just happily crafting away before I realized...DRAT...Carter has a dinosaur on his shirt, not a dragon....oh well...they both have spikey things so they must be related! Well I like it anyway...

I did pull out a couple of older sizzix dies to cut out the frames and a nestie label for the sentiment. (I used a cuttlebug folder to add some texture to the blue frame)The image was colored with Prisma's. It has been a while since I have pulled my pencils out...but I so love the effect and shading with prisma's and OMS.

I cut out a little wee bit of his tail so that is stood out over the frame also.

I enjoyed the change to Carter being the star this week...if you get a chance, go check out Libby's cute creation as well as this fun challenge.
