From Chaos to Calm: A Journey Home to Yourself

Hi, I’m Caroline Measures, a transformational coach and therapist for women.

I help women who’ve lived with long-term anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm to finally find calm in their minds, safety in their bodies, and peace in their hearts.

Like so many of the women I now support, I didn’t always feel this way myself.

For years, I lived with the ripple effects of a turbulent childhood — an alcoholic father, a mother who became trapped in his control, and the kind of upbringing that teaches you to stay small, stay quiet, and keep everyone else calm.

Those early patterns followed me into adulthood. I pushed myself hard, aimed high, and tried to prove I was okay — all while living with a nervous system that never truly relaxed. 

The turning point

It wasn’t one big moment — it was a thousand tiny ones.

The quiet decision to stop pretending everything was fine. The courage to ask for help. The first deep breath after years of holding it in.

Through somatic therapy, breathwork, meditation, and trauma-informed coaching, I began to understand what my body had been trying to tell me all along: that healing isn’t about perfection, it’s about safety.

Once I learned how to calm my nervous system, everything changed — my anxiety softened, my confidence returned, and for the first time, I felt truly at home in myself.

Now, I help other women do the same.

Working with me is gentle, intuitive, and deeply personal.

There’s no judgement, no quick fixes, and no one-size-fits-all solutions — just a safe, compassionate space to unravel what’s been weighing you down and rebuild your calm, one breath at a time.

The Calm Coach

From languages to corporate, via motherhood, to coaching and therapy

Before I became The Calm Coach, my career was worlds away from therapy and transformation.
A degree in Modern Languages led me into international business — long hours, high expectations, and the constant pressure to perform.

On the outside, everything looked fine.
Inside, I was quietly unravelling — anxious, overthinking, and trying to hold it all together while running on empty.

When my first daughter was born, something inside me shifted. I could no longer ignore the deep sense that something was missing — that my body, mind, and spirit were crying out for calm.

That longing set me on a new path.
I began exploring holistic healing and emotional wellbeing, peeling back the layers of old patterns I’d carried since childhood — the people-pleasing, the hypervigilance, the coping mechanisms, the invisible armour that once kept me safe but now kept me stuck.

Over time, the tension softened. My mind grew quieter.
And for the first time, I began to feel truly safe in my own skin.

Now, with over 20 years of personal growth and professional training, I blend lived experience with extensive qualifications in mind–body therapies and transformational coaching.
My work combines compassion and science, intuition and structure — helping women regulate their nervous systems, release long-held tension, and rediscover peace within.
