Gluten? We don't know her.

No surprise, we're all about having our pasta, pizza, and tacos and eating them too. And we think that should be the case for all the gluten-free folks out there! Living gluten-free does not mean you have to skip out on your favorites. Far from it! So whether you're celiac, trying to accommodate party guests, or simply needing to cut out gluten due to a sensitivity, we've got plenty of amazing recipes that you'll be surprised just happen to be gluten-free. The big win? You can still eat all the best comfort foods like without feeling like you're missing out on anything.

When it comes to making gluten-free recipes (or removing gluten from your old standards), you're going to want to watch out for a couple common ingredients that may seem harmless but actually contain gluten. Soy sauce, which contains gluten in the form of wheat, comes in a gluten-free version such as tamari in a pinch for all those stir-fries. Tortilla chips are nearly always gluten-free, thanks to corn as a base, while Worcestershire sauce is almost always gluten-free, but do look out for malt vinegar (which does contain gluten). Now that you know what to look out for, you can get to cooking. $5 says nobody even notices you made an entirely gluten-free feast!

Akin to a Puerto Rican lasagna, pastelón layers up crispy fried sweet plantains with melty mozzarella cheese and picadillo, a mix of ground beef, tomatoes, sofrito, herbs, briny olives, and a pop of sweetness from raisins. It takes a bit to prepare all the elements, but it’s worth it for this sweet and savory dish you can easily serve to a crowd.
