Thanks & Giving Serving Tray Decor

Let our lives be full of both Thanks and Giving! I have neglected Thanksgiving decor in the past and thought this year I would remedy that. I really love Thanksgiving.  I love that for a moment, the world is a little more grateful for what they have.  I had this silver plated tray. Not real silver and in very poor condition.  I got this tiny jar of chalkboard paint in the Dollar Spot at Target... and one jar was MORE than enough for this tray.  Just brushed on one thin layer and let it dry completely.  Then repeated 2 more times. (Still have half the jar of paint left!)  Even the pattern embossing looks much better now!  Then I just sketched out my thought in chalk...  Then then used a Chalk Marker (also known as wet markers) over the chalk.  Adding thicker lines on the down strokes...  And then outlining it with some harvest colors.  I love it! Chalkboard Wall Art with Neon Chalk Markers!

Chalkboard Wall Art with Neon Chalk Markers! 2 great motto's! Have Courage and Be Kind & Always be Kind, Have a good attitude and Never give up!  First I found these 2 flower wall art things at the thrift store...  I spray painted them black.  Let dry completely.  Then I coated them with Clear chalkboard coating. I did it this way because I had all the supplies on hand. If I was purchasing supplies, I'd just get the chalkboard paint or spray and do it once.  Roll it on and let it dry completely. Says 24 hours to cure.  Season the writing surface with the edge of chalk.  Erase the chalk. Wipe with dry cloth.  Now write all the things! I was sent these Chalk Markers by Beary Genius  at a discounted rate in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own. #bearygeniuslaunchpromotion They write so smooth...not skippy like chalk. They have reversible tips, but I left mine as the chisel tips....
