As with previous years, we will not have 'levels' for this coming year's monthly focus challenges, with the exception of a few 'level up' ideas. While I know that not every focus will appeal to every reader, I do hope you find at least one month that 'speaks' to you!

(I also plan to do as I did in 2025 and host Spooky Season and Christmas Reads as unofficial challenges.)

January ~ 'New Beginnings' ~ pick a 'new to you' author, start a new series that you've been really excited to read, or read the debut novel of a favourite author!

February ~ 'L-O-V-E' ~ read a book where at least one of the title words starts with the letters l, o, v, or e . . . or level up by reading books for all 4!

March ~ ‘Men of Christian Fiction’ ~ read books written by male authors!

April ~ 'Spring Clean' ~ read a book that has been on your TBR list for more than a year prior to the date of the challenge (so, anything on your TBR list before 1 April 2025 counts) . . . or level up by reading a book that’s been on your TBR for more than 5 years!

May ~ ‘Love Your Neighbour’ ~ learning to love each other can start with getting to know people who are different from us . . . read a book that has a MC that is different from you in a significant way! (ideas include different race or ethnicity, different religion, a character with a disability, etc)

June ~ ‘Summer Holidays’ ~ read a holiday themed book . . . ANY holiday will do! (even a personal vacation holiday)

July ~ 'Folks in Uniform' ~ read a book where the main character is 'in uniform' . . . this can include military, but does not need to . . . for instance, a police officer, a doctor, or a chef . . . anyone whose profession brings to mind a specific uniform!

August ~ ‘My Favourite Things’ ~ read a book that has some element of a favourite about it . . . you love the cover, your favourite author/genre . . . the title makes you smile . . . there’s an AMAZING character . . . tell us why you chose that particular book!

September ~ 'Autumn Sweep' ~ sweep through the series you've started and not yet finished, and read the next book in line . . . or level up by finishing out the entire series!

October ~ ‘Winners’ Circle’ ~ read a book that has won an award . . . tell us which award and which year!

November ~ 'T-H-A-N-K-S' ~ read a book where at least one of the author’s ‘writer name’ starts with the letters 't-h-a-n-k-s' (for instance, Kim Vogel Sawyer would count for either the ‘K’ or the ‘S’) . . . or level up by spelling out the entirety of the word!

December ~ 'Finishing Well' ~ finish off a series, read a book that you'd planned to get to this year but haven't yet, and get those last-minute challenge books read!
