Whoa, 2025 felt like a roller coaster ride. 🎢 As we close out the year, I’m again offering up my top ten list. While it’s been a ride—ups, downs, twists, and all—there’s so much to celebrate. Below are just a few of my favorites: 🧬 Halda Therapeutics, founded by Craig Crews of Yale University and Tim Shannon of Canaan, was acquired by Johnson & Johnson for $3B (another unicorn in Connecticut). 👥 CI’s human capital services team (Bo Bradstreet and Marina D.) directly filled 192 jobs (62 percent in Connecticut) for 49 CI portfolio companies this year. Worth repeating, they DIRECTLY filled 192 jobs. 🚴♂️ In a show of how work and play do indeed go together, in September we completed our third and final Tour de Connecticut…all participants always say it’s “like the Tour de France, only better.” We rode from one side of the state to the other visiting portfolio company executives, policymakers and university/corporate partners. Super fun. 🌏 We traveled to India with Indra Nooyi, Governor Ned Lamont, AdvanceCT, Commissioner of DECD Daniel O'Keefe, UConn President Radenka Maric, CI Chairman Michael Cantor and Michael Crair from Yale and led VentureClash India at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. CI has since invested in two fantastic Indian companies we met on our journey, CloudSEK and P•TAL (Punjabi Thathera Art Legacy). 💭 This one is bittersweet for me… To catch the rest of the top 10, read: https://lnkd.in/gFF4UmRa
