Journal Information
Aims & scope
We are interested in the latest advances in psychology and in timely syntheses of research spanning all its aspects — covering all subfields of cognitive, social and clinical psychology, and including developmental aspects, methodological issues and more applied areas. The wider societal relevance of psychological science will also be featured within the journal. Our broad scope and accessible formats ensure that work published in our journal reaches the widest possible audience.
Nature Reviews Psychology is part of the Nature Reviews portfolio of journals. To learn more about Nature Reviews, check out this animation and the Nature Reviews page. You can also find a summary of the editorial input and checks here.
Online publication
Nature Reviews Psychology is published exclusively online. Online-only publication enables us to publish review-type articles as soon as they are ready, which benefits our authors with an earlier publication date and allows our readers to have access to accepted papers before they appear in a specific issue. Note that papers published online are definitive and may be altered only through the publication of an addendum, corrigendum or erratum, so authors should make every effort to ensure that the article proofs are correct.
Content types
We will publish a range of content types, including Reviews and Perspectives, along with Comments, Viewpoints and Research Highlights that will elaborate on significant advances and other topical issues in psychology.
