Constantly training but struggling to get ur first pull-up? Try this. Imagine breaking the bar in half! This will twist your elbows in and help engage your lats. Imagine trying to bring your elbows behind your back. Keep your chest up and lean back slightly. Don’t think of “pulling yourself up,” instead think of “bringing your elbows down” Ways to strengthen: 1. Assisted pull-ups 2. Scapular pull-ups 3. Negative pull-ups 4. Dead-hangs Also want to note that yes, cues are important but training to strengthen your back, arms, etc is important too!

Toes to bar is one of my favorite Crossfit movements! It is a skill that combines grip, upper body, and core strength with hamstring mobility.  1. Toes to Bar 2.Segmented V Ups - focusing on isolating each part of the movement hollow body, quick compression toe tap, hollow body, full lower. 3. Strict L Raises - emphasizing pulling down on the bar and keeping legs straight. 4.Low Bar Compression Holds - working on getting nose as close to knees as possible. 5. Low Bar Single Leg Compression Kicks - focusing on pulling down on the bar and having quick speed and compression when driving toe up. 6. Single Leg Box Toes to Bar - emphasizing quick tap of toe then immediately driving toe behind bar back while driving chest forward into arch swing.
