The molecule features a linear, unbranched chain where the carbon atoms are connected by single covalent bonds, forming a straight chain. Each carbon atom is sp3 hybridized, leading to a tetrahedral geometry around each carbon with bond angles of approximately 109.5 degrees. The overall #3D #structure of hexane is a linear, extended chain with all hydrogen atoms arranged around the carbon backbone.
