INGREDIENTS:
 • rice paper
 • sushi nori, roasted seaweed, cut into squares
 • sushi rice
 • cucumber
 • carrot
 • avocado

•black sesame seeds

Place wrapper into warm water for 5 seconds, remove & blot with a paper towel. 

Lay nori, sushi rice, veggies, another piece of nori & wrap. 

Slice down the middle, top with black sesame seeds and dip in soy sauce, coconut aminos or tamari.

Vegan Onigirazu Sushi Sandwich

A delicious seaweed recipe that makes use of the chickpea smash recipe. Normally sushi is off limits for vegans as it will always contain some kind of fish or at least be quite bland without it. However, in this recipe the chickpea smash resembles tuna. I could eat this everyday, it’s so good!

Ingredients (Makes 1 sandwiches):
 • 💚1/2 cup of chickpea smash (refer to my chickpea smash recipe posted recently) 
 • 💚2 nori sheets
 • 💚 1/2 avocado

Sushi Rice
 • 💚 1/4 cup of sushi rice + 1/2 cup water in the rice cooker
 • 💚 1 tbsp vinegar (can use any kind)
 • 💚 2 tsp sugar
 • 💚1 pinch of salt

Options For A Dipping Sauce
 • 💚 Soy Sauce
 • 💚 Vegan Mayo
 • 💚 Sriracha

Note that a dipping sauce isn’t actually required for this reci

INGREDIENTS:  • - 1 cup sushi rice  • - 1 1/4 cup boiling water  • - 2 tbsp rice vinegar  • - 1 tbsp maple syrup  • - 1 tsp salt  • -rice paper sheets  • - Nori seaweed sheets  • - Filling of choice (I used cucumber, carrot, avocado and vegan tonkatsu sauce)  • - Sesame seeds  • - Oil for frying  INSTRUCTIONS:  • Rinse rice with cold water until the water runs clear.  • Transfer into a pot and add boiling water, cover with a lid and cook for about 15 minutes or until rice is cooked.  • Meanwhile, prepare fillings of choice, cut seaweed into smaller pieces and fill a large bowl with cold water.  • Transfer cooked rice into a bowl and season with rice vinegar, maple syrup and salt. The BEST snack ever. Spicy Tuna Sushi Wraps 🍙🍣 It's quite simply to make and I honestly don't even measure the ingredients. 

Here's what you need:
 • Plain white rice
 • Nori (seaweed) strips
 • Sesame oil
 • Soy sauce
 • Mayo
 • Sriracha

Tuna

Mix all ingredients together (minus the nori) and add mixture to pieces of nori. I love using the snack packs of nori for this! Enjoy.

This delicious, high protein main is a fun way to eat tofu and the @oceanshalo nori wrap adds flavour and more! It’s a 15 minute (or less) lunch or dinner idea and perfect when you’re in a pinch.

Ingredients
 • 1/2 block extra firm tofu
 • 1 package Ocean’s Halo Sushi Nori Sheets

1 tbsp neutral oil 
 • 1/4 cup tamari 
 • 1 1/2 tbsp coconut sugar 
 • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
 • 1 clove garlic, finely grated
 • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
 • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil 
 • toasted white sesame seeds, for garnish 
 • 1 scallion, green tops thinly sliced, for garnish

Method 
 • Start by patting dry your tofu block with a paper towel or a kitchen towel. Gently press to remove excess moisture and then slice into 1x2” size pieces.
