Here’s a peek at our preschool science center focusing on color mixing! Students combine small pinches of Play-Doh to form new colors, then use laminated color equations (with Velcro dots) like “blue + yellow = green.” They can bag up their mixed Play-Doh and take it home. We also have color-mixing sensory tubes from Hand2Mind, a rainbow tray for finger tracing, and prisms that bend light into rainbows—perfect for exploring how colors blend together in everyday life.

This week at our preschool science center, we’re focusing on using our five senses! We have sensory tubes for exploring sound and sight, where students can shake or look inside to identify what they hear and see. We also have our touch box—students look at the picture of the items inside, reach in, and use their sense of touch to figure out which item they’ve grabbed.
