BOSE headphones - BE AWARE. Great product from a technical point of view, atrocious customer care and warranty. 3 months old and the ear pads have completely split on both sides. BOSE resp... See more

Dreadful Customer Service
Had a great product - QuietComfort Earbuds. They broke after 5 yrs of use. Tried to raise a ticket to see how I might get them repaired (no problem in paying for repairs). The ticket was never actioned. Then tried to raise another ticket - took over 40 minutes - and was told that, because I don't have proof of purchase (from 2021), the ticket can't be progressed - despite sending over a transaction I assume is for the earbuds. Ridiculous customer service. Off to find another brand with better customer service.

They warn you with their company name. So purchase at your peril.
Today I learned you have to login in to BOSE with your the BOSE phone app to control the volume of your sound bar.
The BOSE remote is black with black buttons. It's impossible to see even with the few buttons that are backlit.
On and on the bummer of owning BOSE never ends. Exception for their over the ear noise canceling hedphones that are good.
I am extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed. I bought this 4–5 months ago, and the joints of the headphones creak like a 500-year-old door. It’s unbearable and makes the product feel really cheap.
Then I ran into a lot of bugs: the startup and shutdown sound changes every time. Sometimes the startup sound is high-pitched, and the next time it’s deep.
The design is nice, but honestly for $700 everything feels cheap. The leather on the ear cushions is extremely thin, and the same goes for the headband. On top of that, the creaking is the cherry on the cake.
I didn’t expect to buy such a low-quality product, especially since I bought the first generation before and had to return it because of the same bugs. I really don’t recommend it unless you want to feel like you’ve been ripped off.
On top of that, it’s impossible to write a review on the Australian Bose website — you can only read reviews there. That’s why I’m posting my feedback on Trustpilot instead.
$50 rebate never received.
I had purchase a set of Bose headphones through their website, advertising a mail-in $50 rebate at the time. 6 weeks after sending in all of the required documentation, I received no response. When I tried to follow-up, I had to speak with 4 different departments and still, no one could give me an answer. Finally, the "backoffice" sent me an e-mail advising me to complete the rebate again, which requires scanning multiple documents and submitting an online form. Another six weeks later, no rebate received and no updates from Bose. An absolute scam of a company where customer service is trained to give every customer the run around until they give up. I ultimately disputed the charge with my credit card company and got my $50 back that way. This is my last Bose product. They spend heavy on marketing, and zero on customer retention. Best of luck.
I owned the Bose QuietComfort 35 II for 4 years
I owned the Bose QuietComfort 35 II for about 4 years and unfortunately my experience ended in a very disappointing way. The headphones suddenly started lowering the volume by themselves until it reached minimum, followed by a constant rapid beeping sound. This makes them basically unusable.
After looking into the issue, it turns out this is a fairly common problem related to the button control module. What’s even worse is that Bose does not offer proper repairs for this model anymore. Instead of fixing the product, they just suggest buying a new pair with a small “discount”.
For a premium product that originally cost around €280, lasting only a few years before developing a known hardware issue and then being effectively non-repairable is extremely frustrating. I expected much better durability and customer support from a brand like Bose.
Great sound and comfort while they worked, but the lack of repairability and support means I cannot recommend these headphones.
Do yourself a favour and avoid Bose.
Do yourself a favour and avoid Bose.
I purchased a brand new set of Bose Ultra headphones and they won’t stay connected to my MacBook. Straight out of the box they don’t work properly. When I contacted Bose support, their solution was simply to replace them — despite them being brand new.
This is now the FOURTH brand new Bose product I’ve had to return, replace, or contact tech support about.
For a company that markets itself as a premium brand, the reliability of these products is honestly terrible. Products should work properly out of the box — not require immediate troubleshooting, returns, or replacements.
In my experience, Bose products have been consistently unreliable and a complete headache to deal with. At this point I would strongly recommend staying away and buying from a brand that actually delivers products that work.
I have wasted hours online with contact support with zero technical solutions. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Bought some bose quite comfort earbuds
Bought some bose quite comfort earbuds. Within six months one of the buds has stopped working now they asked for it to go through repair three weeks later repair returned impossible to get a refund basically don't buy with these people. The service has been atrocious. It's better to stick to brands like apple at least you know when things go wrong, it gets sorted, well worth paying the premium for Apple the quality of these AirPods was absolutely terrible and I just can't believe they stopped working after such a short period of time.
Assistance and communication the worst…
Assistance and communication extremely poor. Any trouble shooting is a waste of time, you have to work it out yourself as AI gives you the run around. Also 2 months of talking to different ‘agents’ and forget them referring to your previous transcripts as they don’t so you have to repeat again and again.
I was also due a 10% discount upon purchase. Never received it - it was a have. I’ll NEVER purchase Bose products again
Thank goodness I had warranty from…
Thank goodness I had warranty from BestBuy on my Bose QC2 headphones. I’ve run through 4 pair of them in less than 2 years. No hard use and I treat them like a baby because they break so easily. All I do is workout in them. They break on their own. One ear eventually quits working or the noise cancellation bugs out. Not to mention the immersion setting sucks and continuously redirects sound from different directions or starts to sounds like the headphones are under water.
Do not pay the $ for these. They suck and will break within a year. They are by far one of the worst products I have ever purchased. I will never buy a Bose product again.
Disappointing handling of a 2-year warranty case
I purchased the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds and registered them for a 2-year limited warranty. The outer shell of one earbud separated after just over 24 months of normal use (audio still functions).
The issue occurred only a few days after the 2-year warranty expired. I provided screenshots of my warranty confirmation email and my Bose account showing the registered 2-year coverage, along with photos of the product.
Unfortunately, support repeatedly referenced a 1-year warranty and declined escalation to a supervisor. My documentation and the product photos were not acknowledged in any meaningful way. The only solution offered was a paid refurbished replacement.
One representative was courteous and tried within their limits, but overall I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or escalation, especially given the minimal timing difference and the premium positioning of the brand.
I expected a more customer-focused approach from a company that markets itself as premium.
Absolute Crap!
I purchased two pairs of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds and from day one they didn't work well. 90% of the time only the right ear played music. When both the right and left ears had music, that only lasted for a short time, and then the music would be turned off on my device. I'd click to play the music again, and then once again it only played in the right ear, then eventually the left ear would join, and then turn off the music again. It didn't matter what device I used, the earbuds never worked properly. I contacted Bose and they sent me a new pair, and it did the exact same thing. That's a 100% failure rate. The other problem is that they keep falling out of my ear due to gravity because they're top heavy because of their awful design. Since all three pairs didn't work, I told Bose I did not want to keep this awful product, and that I wanted a store credit to get something that would hopefully work better, but they said no, they had to send me this exact product as a replacement even though this product continues to not work. Then, I tried to post a review on the product page of their website, but they literally have no place to make a new review. They show reviews, but they don't allow us to make new reviews. Now I understand why, this product is complete crap and they don't want all the bad reviews. There should be a recall on this product and they should not still be selling it. I'm so disappointed in what I thought was a company that produced quality products.

What has happened to Bose
What has happened to Bose. Quality of product is decreasing, but the customer service is dismal. I returned a speaker for repair in October. I think they have lost it and 15 weeks later, I am struggling to have the repair fee reimbursed. Their customer services promised "personal ownership" of the matter, payment in 72hrs. Nothing happens. There is no complaints process. I am at the mercy of customer service smiling jargon, lies and bluff. No more Bose for me.
Horrible Customer Service - No replacements or Repairs
Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - USE JABRA INSTEAD!!! My Bose were very comfortable headphones but poor noise cancellation... they were still my most comfortable headset, until the first malfunction of them not charging anymore... To find out Bose does not do repairs, and they say "we'll do a replacement once you send in your old headset but you have to pay full price for replacement"... I said I could get it cheaper on amazon even including a 2 year warranty, they gave a 20% discount, still was cheaper on amazon. I asked what the diff between a "replacement" and buying a new one was. They told me to have a good day.
I have better headphones through JABRA that they've fully replaced FOR FREE WITH FREE SHIPPING 3x in 2.5 years. Bose makes me buy a brand new headset for a charging issue from natural wear and tear and don't even give a worthwhile discount. Immediately came to leave a 1 star review
Great customer service
Inah was incredibly helpful, and when I stated replacement ear cushions for my QC45 headphones were out of my budget at £24.95, she said they would send them for free as a one-time courtesy!
Resolved - Bose Insults Loyal Customers with Outdated, "Pay and Wait" Trade-In Policy
The below described issue has been completely resolved with speed and a focus on customer care. It was resolved within two hours. 5 Stars
I am a long-time Bose advocate who has spent thousands of dollars on their products, including two pairs of $1,000+ aviation headsets, soundbars, and multiple pairs of headphones. Despite this, Bose’s trade-in policy is an absolute insult to a loyal customer.
I have already paid over $300 for new headphones, yet Bose refuses to ship them until they receive and "process" my old unit. This creates an unnecessary, weeks-long delay that modern retailers like Amazon eliminated years ago. Amazon trusts their customers by shipping new items immediately and using a credit card on file as security; Bose, however, holds both my payment and my property hostage.
It is unacceptable for a premium brand to treat a customer with my purchase history with such a total lack of trust. This sequential shipping model is inefficient and demonstrates that Bose is hopelessly behind modern retail standards.
Product: Bose QuietComfort Ultra (Trade-in of QC15)
Serial Number: 051346Z00321654AC
Desired Outcome: Immediate shipment of my paid product and a modernization of this restrictive policy.
Bose customer service is a joke and very predatory, with supervision over their customer service workers nonexistent.
This was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. Bose misdelivered my headphones to the US during Christmas when I live in the UK (all the detail entered when checking out were correct). After having to hound them about this, they finally cancelled the order and I have been waiting for a refund for over a month. They emailed on January 13 with a credit memo saying to expect a refund within five working days. I STILL haven't received the refund. I've contacted them on the phone and over their chat feature OVER SEVEN TIMES about this and every time they say they will raise a 'ticket' to their finance department who will contact me within 48hours. Of course, the 48hours passes and I get back in contact. Then, they tell me a ticket has not been raised but that they can do that right now. And the cycle continues. It's genuinely kafka-esqe. Aside from that, it is also infuriating. These are £300 headphones, having to wait weeks and weeks on end for £300 is so frustrating.
Update: still no help from Bose, but I finally won the dispute with Monzo because Bose never responded on their end.
BETTER BRANDS OUT THERE THAN BOSE!!
The quality of their products are poor. I have a bass module for a soundbar that's probably been used less than 24 hours and it's failed. Looked online seems to be a common issue this component was only £300 pounds they want £175 to repair it. They are over priced and the class of amplifier they use isn't very good as everything they appear to be a trend. I wouldn't buy Bose again, admittedly that I have spent about £2k already but won't purchase anything else from them. THERE ARE BETTER BRANDS OUT THERE
Just don’t go near them … in 82 years they are probably the worst company I’ve ever dealt with
I paid thousands for the top of the line for a sound bar, sub woofer and surround speakers
4 months ago … the sound bar has been in the shop for a month , and it still doesn’t work ! I was told it was in the settings , so still having trouble I called the help centre 1.58 minutes still not working… they suggested I call a regular service centre … the retailer gave me the finger ( JB hifi )
and told me to call Bose … so where is my consumer protection …. I wish I had read the reviews before I bought the product
Do not buy Bose products!!
Do not buy Bose products!!! I recently purchased Bose ultra earbud that were faulty. The only option they gave me was to pay another £175 on top of £199 for the earbuds I’d already purchased meaning I paid a total of £375.98 for a product that is now on sale since Black Friday for £299.95. Bose gave me excuse after excuse after 3 calls and 180 minutes in calls I made to them but essentially on their part they still wanted £175.66 from me. They would not take into account that the product they sold me initially was faulty but no credit note was given to me. Stay away from this company and this is from someone who normally loves Bose products but not anymore!!
