It happened because of a mission gone sideways.

Josu's scraped up. Robin's bruised and stiff. They smell like smoke and wet concrete. Neither of them wants to go to the medbay, but they do end up in their bathroom, shuffling in with exhaustion and adrenaline still wearing off like heat.

“We’re filthy.” Josu mumbles, rubbing at a spot on their neck that used to be red paint or blood. “I feel like a peeled sticker.”

“I don’t think I have a single joint left.” Robin mutters, pulling off one of his gloves and shaking out his aching hand.

And then the words fall out of their mouth:

“Do you just wanna... share the tub? Save water. Time.”

“Okay, wait, I do remember this one,” Josu says, their brows furrowed underneath their bangs. They adjusts their grip on the guitar neck and strums.

BZZZK.

“Wrong fret,” Robin murmurs from where he’s sitting cross legged, next to them on Josu's soft bed, and their knees are barely not touching.

Josu groans. “I swear I used to know this! My band’s guitarist made me practice exactly this. It’s just Nirvana power chords. Three fingers. That’s it.” Robin offers them a smile, his expression patient. “Okay, show me.”
