  Rainbow Craftykari
 Isnt that lovely ?
So with all this information lets talk about what i came up with.
I decided to go for a Layout this time.
I will also show you how i made it.

Lets get started !

These are some of the basic things I will be using for this LO
Of course I will be adding more to the list as we proceed.

I am using a 10 x 10 cardstock for the base of the LO, I have this specific size because i plan to fit it under a frame later. (Which i am yet to buy! But oh well ! there is nothing like a bit of pre planning :)

So the first step was to add some yellow mist ! I have used a generous amount.
Dont worry about the puckering in the base. It will ease soon.
I am using Heidi Swapp Color Shine mist Butter- its got some gold shimmer with the lovely color.

I have then added some splatter of Amethyst as well. I did plan on using Lindy's Stamp Gang Turcoise but i finally went with Heidie Swapp Amethyst mist.
Next I added Cheerylynn designs-french-pastry-doily die cut.
I kept it white for the Clean look.
Next I added some white paper twine which i bought locally.
I just created loops and stuck it down on the side over the doily.

I then cut up some Flowers and stuck them as shown above.
Now its time to add the photo.
I just placed my photo on top of the flowers such as to cover the flowers slightly.

My next and final step was to add some stamping !
I used black pigment ink with Prima finnabair-Dream on cling stamp.

And my CAS layout is ready !
The key to nailing a CAS layout would be lots of white spaces , clean lines or shapes with use of less elements !  This was definitly a make it work moment for me because i am not a CAS girl at all !
But looking at this I realise its such a fun jonear to work in too!

So i hope I have inspired you enough to join us in this CAS challenge !

Ok so now lets move on to my project

I really wanted to make a shaped card ! its been ages i tried my hand on a house shaped card !
I really love how this turned out.
At first i wasn't very sure if i co-ordinated the papers right , but it came out well.
Here is a closer look at the door :)
i layered my pieces on top of a rectangular wood grain look PP and distressed the edges.
I then used my grey pen to give some faux stitches all around the frame and inside.
All the shrubs are stamped , hand colored and fuzzycut.
The stamp set i used was Pink paislee butterfly garden . Also i added a little wodden bird on top of the flowers.
The lamp is a sizzix die, i inked it with distress inks and added some random markings around the whole thing with a black pen. And then there is the sentiment HOME :) also cut with a sizzix die .

So Thankyou for joining us :)
We are eager to see your entries ! Link them below.

Bgc#51 - Laugh Layout with PJ

Hello my beautiful friends !
Welcome to another post for the
Karen our scrapbook expert , has given us this lovely sketch to make a LO !
I know most of us Indian crafters are still more into card making , which is why
we have taken upon us to give u a challenge that will test your creativity yet again !
Honestly even i am not very good at Layouts , coz i get stuck at how to use the embellishments and how to use what i have ! But karen pushed us all to try it and here we are !!!
Im pretty excited about my LO , I really love it !
and the Sketch helps alot !

So here is the sketch

And here is my LO

I will be showing you a tutorial on how i made this, so lets get started .
Ok so the first step would be to take a 12 *12  cardstock. I used white its a little smaller , 10*10 .
Take a stencil and a mister of your choice , I m using Heidi Swapp-stencils and Lindy's stamp gang mist.

Place the stencil on a scrap paper , and mist it with color.
Alternatively if you do not have mists , use watercolors with a toothbrush .

Now lift up your stencil and you should see that it has a fine layer of misting on it.
Turn it upside down and start sort of stamping with the stencil !
it should leave some cool impressions on your paper !
Be random about it , doesnt have to be perfect .
I then placed my stencil on the cardstock again and added a scrap piece of paper to cover the lower end .
And now again i sprayed my mist.

Now this is how it looks .
Add some more colors , I picked yellow and orange to create some lovely color !
As per the sketch i lined a white cardstock with My mind's eye papers ,
and my photo on top. I flipped the sketch !
I stamped the sentiment "Laugh " on a scrap cardstock and inked it with tattered rose distress ink.

Now take some mesh cloth and rub it randomly on the distress ink pad , Tattered rose first ,
 And shabby shutters next !
This should randomly color your mesh cloth giving it a lovely effect !

Time to stick the pieces together ! I added the mesh cloth under photo layer.

Dont forget to stamp !
Just scrunch the mesh cloth a little . We are going to add our embelishments on it now.
Here are the embellishments i used !
So once done this is how my LO looks !
So hope u like my project .
Do join us in our current challenge HERE

Thanks for tuning in !

BGC #51 sketch challenge with Bipasha !

Hello lovely crafters!! It's Bipasha with you here today...

So we are having an yummy LO time this fortnight with the lovely LO designed by our super talented DT member Karen, and we know that so do you!!! Love the amazing submissions till now...and looking forward for more classy creative add-ons on the line :)

Here is your sketch:
v
And here are your challenge rules:
1. You must create a layout (12x12, 8 1/2 x 11, 8x8 it's up to you) based on the sketch above. ( no cards )
2. You can flip or rotate sketch, we just have to be able to see the sketch.
3. You have until May 15 to link up!

Here is my layout ! (and I am not a very good scrapbook-er kind of person,so seriously had to scratch my head hard ! :P)

Be sure to watch in the coming days for more inspiration from the design team!

I thought of capturing the most alluring and astounding view of the sunset. Astounding view of the sinking sun while floating on the quaint sea and the company of the loved ones will surely kindle up an everlasting memory in everyone’s mind.

And here goes a mini tutorial:

Step 1:
I selected a sober plain LO background from THIS & THAT and distress inked the edges using Walnut Stain. I collected a few printables and fuzzy-cut it and dry embossed the petals. I selected a contrasting bright patterned paper from DIY shop 6x6 paper pad for the photo's background, and punched the edges using doily border punch from Ek Success(shown in Step 3).

Step 2:
Stamped my favourite stamp Bo-Bunny(Wall to Wall Textures) on again a DIY shop patterened co-ordinating paper and cut the straps and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink.

Step 3:
Now,the next important step was to assemble the assorted cutouts according to the given LO design. So I scaled down a rough estimated area for each of my parts, and stamped the background with the Kaisercraft stamp (BELIEVE) before gluing down anything permanently(this is indeed an important step, and constitutes maximum part of your finished project!!)

Step 4:
Voilla !..Finally I glued all the parts after I was quite satisfied with the placings and added a few embellishments like the junkyard finding bulb, few mulberry roses,a tag here and there and a quote which is apt for the LO.

Join the challenge here.

I am quite happy with the subtle sunset-y look of the finished work..What do you think? :)
Share your views and queries in the comment section. I would get back to you asap :)

Hugs..
Bips.
