Train Birthday Card

Our friends' little boy recently had a train themed birthday party and I thought it would be fun to make his card go along with the theme.
Here it is!

I used my Silhouette to cut out the train and clouds. The banners are hand cut.

Simple Baby Card

I got some cute little animal stamps from a friend yesterday and couldn't resist playing with them last night!
I made a simple baby girl card for a friend.

I used my i-rock to add eyes for the animals, and I think the twine adds a fun pop!

Halloween and Thanksgiving Cards {MCM #105 & #106}

Oh my goodness it has been a while! I haven't been doing very much crafting lately, hence my huge lack of blogging. I am expecting and while I haven't necessarily been sick, I just don't have the energy I wish I did! We were very busy this summer and I think I only made two cards the whole summer! I have made a few more cards since then and I will post most of them soon, but I haven't done anymore layouts yet.

On to the cards! My friend had a crop group at her house last night and invited me. I was only able to stop by for a few hours but I got 3 cards made! It was a lot of fun!

And here is my card.

And here is one more card I made without a sketch. I have really been wanting to try to wet emboss on a transparency, so this was my chance! It worked really well!

It's good to be back! I will be posting more projects soon, so stay tuned! :)

Happy Mother's Day {MCM #86}

One of my Mother's Day cards from a previous post did not make it safely to it's destination, so I needed to make another one.
I used Kristy Lee's sketch for MCM #86 for Scrapbook Steals
Here's my card.
I didn't realize how much I strayed from the sketch until I look at these photos side by side! I will be going back and using this sketch again, I like it a lot!

Bundle of Cards {MCM #86}

I volunteered to make a bundle of cards for a church auction. Since they are pre-made, I just decided to do a good mix of occasions that everyone needs cards for.
I also made a matching envelope for each card.

Here is the sketch for MCM #86 by Krity Lee for Scrapbook Steals.
 And here is my card.

I hope someone is able to use them all! :)

Masculine Birthday Cards

I was browsing my Pinterest boards for more card inspiration and found {this one} that I knew would be perfect!
Here is my take on it.

And here is another one I made. Both are for my Dad. Happy birthday Dad!

MCM #84

Here is my card.
I've been trying to find new ways to add twine to my projects. I love using it, but was getting tired of doing the same thing every time :)

More Mother's Day Cards

 I hope you all had a great Mother's Day! Here are a bunch of cards I made for the Mothers in my life.

The white background paper of this one has a very subtle pattern that didn't show up in the picture very well. You can see it a little at the bottom.

Simple Washi Tape Card

I found this card by Lisa Johnson via Pinterest (go check out both of those blogs, they look awesome!)
I was in need of a quick birthday card design and was drawing a blank. I looked through my Pinterest "Cards" board and decided to make the above mentioned card, but with washi tape.

I cut a frame shape with my Silhouette machine, added a stamp, and a dot border with a yellow marker. Then I tied some twine, rounded two of the corners, set three eyelets and I was done. Super quick and simple!

Mother's Day Cards {MCM #83}

My friend asked me to make two Mother's Day cards for her to give her mom & mother-in-law. She gave me some suggestions for the colours that each of them would like, and other than that, it was up to me. Her mom is my "second mother", so I was excited to be able to make her a card :)

I saw these cards on Little Birdie Secrets this morning and loved them, so they were my inspiration for this first card. I love all the little pieces of paper and stitching on the cards.

It's an anniversary card for my husband, so I had to make it a little more masculine ;)

It is my day to be featured on Practical Scrappers today!

Here is a little peek at my layout that is posted over there, but you'll have to head over there to see the whole thing! :)

For those of you stopping by from Practical Scrappers, here is the card I made with the scraps leftover from the layout.
I love how bright and fun it is!

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to look around!

"Hope You're Better Soon" Card

A simple "Get well soon" card for a friend.
My inspiration for this card came from my friend Karen who made a similar card with little bandaid stamps.
I don't think that particular card is on her blog, but you can check out her other great creations {here}!

This card started off pretty similar (almost identical!) to the one in my last post, but ended up looking quite a bit different!

Simple Birthday Card With Scallop Punch

Here is a simple card for a friend that I made using a border punch and a few stamps.
