TTS Sketch #64

Well, that only took FOREVER!
Not the acutal project...
just ME getting around to the project!
*
Let me explain
because I am sure you can relate...
Quite some SU! Regional ago,
Jared
(sniff)
showed us his very own "idea book."
I fell in LOVE with the concept
and immediately planned to create my own.
Good grief!
I can't even tell you how long ago THAT was!
*
I DID purchase a sketch book
and HAVE been adding little goodies
here and there such as...
color swatches, sketches, phrases, etc.
I just never got around to
altering it like I had wanted to.
*
WELL!
Once again
to the rescue!
With this really fun Sketch #64,
the book took me no time at all!
And now I LOOOOOOOOVE it!
*
Be sure to check out
for all the details.

May you feel the Spirit
feeding your creativity today!

Inspirational Words

It's official.
My baby girl is growing up!
sniff.
*
We celebrated her 6th grade graduation
this past Thursday evening.
It was absolutely lovely!
The guys and gals looked so stunning.
And it was so sweet to see all of them
going from friend to friend
for photo opts and hugs.
Ahhh, to be young.
*
As part of my gift to my daughter,
I covered a little book of
inpsirational words
for her.
I fell in love with what the book
had to say but didn't really like the cover.
So I (being a paper crafter
who will alter anything
that doesn't move after ten seconds)
I covered the cover.
*
I just LOVE the way it turned out.
It is SO Wynne!
And she loved it! Yeah!

Hodgepodge is one of my absolute FAVORITE tools for embellishing. I love to find all different sorts of ways to use it other than the typical. And thanks to Stampin' Up!, you get a MAJOR BARGAIN with this hardware. I've not seen anywhere else so much metal for such a great price. Honest!

NOW is the time to grab some Hodgepodge since it is still SALE-A-BRATION! When you purchase $50 in SU! product, you can select a free set of stamps or rub-ons from the SAB catalog. Are you ready for 2008?

Check out this fun planner we created at my Stamp Club Appreciation Party! How fun is this?! This simple planner uses a simple school folder and some fun Stampin' Up! Darling Doodles Designer Series Paper. Here is how we made this planner...

1. Fold the folder BACKWARD. Then fold each side forward to create an accordian.
2. Trim 12x12 Designer Series Papers at 4". You will have three pieces from each sheet.
3. Adhere one full strip to the front and one strip to the back of your planner.
4. Trim four pieces of paper so that half will fit on the top part of each planner "page" and the other half will fit on the bottom. These measurements may vary depending on the folder measurements.
5. Use a stretchy hairband decorated with ribbons to hold your planner together.
6. Trim lined notebook paper to fit in one panel. Clip paper together with tiny clip.
7. Trim the end of one long envelope and stamp "receipts" along the opening.
8. Cut a smaller envelope in half and stamp "stuff" along the opening. Adhere this envelope to the smaller section of one panel.
9. Download or stamp calendar pages to create planner calendar. Clip calendar together with tiny clip.
10. Embellish as desired.

Get Organized!

Check out this fun planner created from a TWO POCKET FOLDER! Can you beleive it?! It's just a folder! You know, the ones that were just $.05 during the back-to-school sales? This one uses SU!'s fabulously yummy "Apple Cidar" Designer Series Paper found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The folder was simply folded BACKWARD and then accordian folded foward on each side. There is a large open ended envelope cut just at the top for "receipts" and another cut just a bit more than half for "stuff." I also included some note paper (can you believe I found a matching clippy?!). And there is also a 2008 calendar with plenty of room for notes. I am LOVIN' this little planner! I can't wait to give it for Christmas gifts!
If you would like one of these fabulous planners, send me one of your hand-stamped greetings with $5 (to cover postage/handling. Send your card to: Attention Kelly Jean Gettelfinger, 330 East Court Ave, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. Can't wait to see what kind of fabulous design you select to send me. (I prefer ALL SU! product when creating a card for me. However, if you just aren't a SU! kind of stamper, I understand.)

Back to School

Back to school ALREADY?! Yes, indeed. It's that time again already. My sweet and adorable daughter needed a "binder" this year. (I can't believe she is old enough to need a BINDER! AGH!) She opted to go for the plain binder with available insert possibility. Every other binder she picked up she would look at me and say, "Mommy, we can stamp one better than this." Good girl! And check it out! SHE certainly did stamp one way better than any we found in the store... and monogramed at that! She was so excited with the finished product. What a wonderful way to start school!
Wynne chose to create her binder with a Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up!. These kits make any project fast and so easy. Check out the newest Simply Scrappin' Kits in the online catalog at http://www.stampinup.com/ and call me today to order yours. For her name, Wynne used the Big Deal Alphabet... so cute! Email me and ask me how to get your Simply Scrappin' Kit absolutely FREE!
