Aren't they just SO cute?!
These cards are so easy and fun to make!
And there are so many possibilities...

Along with these two cards,
each stamper will be able to choose
a FREE exclusive stamp and stampin' spot!
All of this for just $15.
AND if you register and pay now,
your name goes into a drawing for a free set of stamps
from the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog!

TTS Sketch #68

When I scrapbook,
I like to use as many photos as possible
on one or two page LOs.
I think scrapbook pages that focus on 1 photo
turn out really super cute,
especially if the scrapper has a real knack.
But I take so many pictures and
never can decide which ones to add to my albums.
So I try to use them all. he he.
*
Coming up with new LOs can be very challenging
with mutliple photos.
UNLESS...
you visit TTS
on a regular basis.
A new sketch each week with
samples that go BEYOND scrapbooking.
*
One way I manage to add several photos to one LO
is by using WALLET SIZE photos.
As you can see, this is what I did here.
Let me know if you like that tip!
Have a great day!

Teacher Gifts at Lavender Sentiments

Staples.
You know, the neccessities.
That's what this box is TO ME.
This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE patterns.
The box bottom is just so easy and classic
while the top is so simple and fun to create,
I can't imagine ever losing my pattern for this box!
*
What's more is that the top can be played with
to create all sorts of different looking boxes.
Check out this link for just a few "box top" ideas...

Blessings to all my teacher friends

Wynne's Tuesday Challenge

Challenge lovers, you are going to LOVE this challenge!
This past Tuesday, Wynne inspires us to
BE FUNNY
and create a "funny card."
Would you just LOOK at this hillarious card she made?!
The phrases say, "I'm there for you."
and "In good times or bad."
Do you see the "stink" around the babies bottom?!
Now THAT is stinkin' hillarious!!!
Wynne changed the faces on the people herself.
VERY CREATIVE, Wynne girl!
*
Now, go create a funny card
and be sure to leave Wynne a comment on her blog
with a link to your card so we can all have a chuckle!

Onsie Greeting Card

KASEY, IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOOK
AT THE FOLLWOING POST... DON'T!
HE HE HE.
KARA WANTS THESE TO REMAIN A SURPRISE
UNTIL SHE CAN SHARE THEM WITH YOU
IN PERSON. TOO STINKIN' FUNNY!
*
*
*
*
Are these not the cutest cards you've ever seen?!
I helped a friend of mine create sixty something
for her sister's upcoming baby shower.
(Ya, after about forty... they weren't so cute anymore.)
(kidding!)
I had such a fun time helping!
*
They really were very easy to create.
We first punched a 1/2" circle
for the neck with a 1-3/4" circle punch.
Then with the 1-3/8" circle punch, we punched the leg openings.
Only the front of the card was zipped through the Big Shot.
Add a few little stick-on button embellishments and...
Voila! Instant (and adorable) onsie!
*
Wishing you all the best, Kasey!

My Very First MOSD Goodness

I am SO excited to share my very first
MOSD goodness!
Before I get started, be sure to check out
more MOSD inspiration on the company blog here...
as well as the MOSD galleries here...
Talk about excellent inspiration!
AND
so that you know, MOSD is a wholesale only company.
If you can not find MOSD products
at your local scrapbook or hobby store,
ask the manager/owner to investigate MOSD's goodness.
YOU CAN FIND THESE FINE PRODUCTS
AT MY FAV ONLINE STORE
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Be sure to visit today and look for MOSD!
*
Now, what you see above is some of MOSD's
"Stacker Collections."
I personally love the "Best Friends!"
I created a mini album
showcasing a recent trip to our local theme park.
*
For the front and back covers of my album,
I used the "Perfectly Shaped Build a Book Bowtie."
Read on for instructions on
how to put your very own album together.
*
You will see below that I split one of my "bowties"
to create a double opening cover.
The first four of my pages open to the left.
The inside pages of my album are 5-1/2 x 5-3/4".
The last four pages of my album open to the right.

And you can see my back cover is the complete "bowtie."
You will need two "Bowtie" pieces of MOSD's
"Perfectly Shaped Build a Book" pieces.

Begin by cutting one of the pieces in half.

Trace one of the 1/2ed pieces onto desired cover paper
leaving about a 1/2" extened edge as seen here.
Also trace this 1/2ed piece
onto two other pieces without the 1/2" extended edge.
These will serve to cover the reverse sides of the cover.
Once you have your pattern trimmed out,
fold edges without adhering as shown.
The corners of the paper should form a diamond.
I've outlined mine with pencil.

Take each "diamond" and fold it down
creating a triangle of sorts.

After unfolding this triangle,
there should appear a triangle on the paper as shown here.
I've outlined mine with pencil.
Trim just ABOVE the line of the triangle.
Now adhere all side to your "bowtie."
Repeat this method with the back cover.
The extra pieces traced without the extra edge
are adhered on the reverse side
covering the excess of the front cover.

Another great product from MOSD
is their "Binding Rings!"
They have a ton to select from and
they are SO EASY to use.
As you can see in the picture here,
I used my binding rings to steady my covers
so I could evenly punches holes with my Cropadile.
*
Hope you've enjoyed this tutorial
and my very first MOSD goodness.
Blessings,

Big Shot Sunday

Welcome to my BIG SHOT SUNDAYS!
I absolutely LOVE my Big Shot
and I wanted a way to show you and my clients
the fabulous projects that can be created using it.
I figure what more perfect day than Sunday
to focus on my Big Shot machine.
Since God is my One and Only True
Big Shot,
I thought I'd offer these fun projects on His Day.
*
This adorable little "purse" gift card holder was created with the
BASKETS AND BLOOMS Bigz Die
YOU'RE FABULOUS Stamp Set
RAZZLEBERRY LEMONADE Designer Series Paper
CIRCLE ICE Rhinestone Brads
ORGANZA RIBBON Whisper White
LARGE and SCALLOP OVAL Punches
*
Instead of making the complete basket
(a sample of the complete basket is on pg 37 of the IB&C)
a cute little "purse" can be made
by eliminating the bottom portion.
I just glued the bottom and sides of my two halves.
You can see below how a gift card
fits perfectly into my tiny little purse.
*
To create my tag, I simply stamped the entire
"You're absolutely fabulous" phrase
and used the Large Oval Punch to cut off the "You're."
This way my tag has plenty of room for the ribbon
and my recipent will still know he/she is
"absolutely fabulous!"
*
I truly believe YOU, my readers are
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.
I just don't tell you enough.
And if you are a client/friend of mine,
well, that makes you even more special.
Sometimes I make mistakes or say the wrong things
or get passionate about things this world is not so passionate about.
Many people may hold these against me,
get upset with me, or even treat me poorly because of these.
For those of you who have stuck with me,
you're fabulous... absolutely fabulous!
Thank you for understanding that
I'm not perfect.
I'm just ME.
Absolutely fabulous ME.
(I'm so glad that is how HE sees me.
I am still trying to convince myself.)
*
Have a blessed Sunday!

Double Duty Birthday

How's this for a great b-day gift idea...
(if you pass this idea on, please give credit to
Dancing with Stamps.com)
so here it is...
*
Wynne had a b-day party to attend this past Sunday
for her friends Lauren and Evan, twins that is.
She gave them both decorated photo albums
(you know, the ones that cost like $2 at WM
and have the front and back cover inserts?)
Slip out the inserts, measure inserts, cut CS same size, stamp & reinsert.
So stinkin' easy.
*
THEN... Wynne gave them each a camera
to be passed around at the party
for each friend to snap shots from time to time.
*
AND LASTLY... she tucked a $5 bill into each album
for the developing cost of the photos.
How clever is that?!
*
I didn't go overboard on the stamping/embellishing
cuz let's face it... their THIRTEEN!
They aren't going to give a hoot how fab they look, right?!
*
And although the stamp sets I used are retired,
(wish they weren't cuz they're perfect for teens!)
So Sassy and So Cool by SU!
made these albums SO EASY to create!
Just a lesson in "if you want it... ya better get it before it's gone."
*

Email me to place your SU! order today
or place your order online by selecting me as your demonstrator.
(Stamp Club members will recieve club credit
only by placing orders WITH ME.)
*
Have a great year, Lauren and Evan!

TTS Sketch #67

These photos just crack me up!
These are "my boys" at Cub Scout Day Camp.
One of the counselors played some H2O games.
At the end of his session,
he just started throwing the balloons straight up.
It was hillarious watching the boys!
*
Thanks to Patter at TTS
for Sketch #67!
