Popular Ain't That All Good

Just visited Nuffnang's post, I saw a section which shows some of the most popular posts on Innit, and guess what was there?

That ain't very pleasant, is it?

Back then, when there I was active (alongside with many other bloggers whose name shall not be mentioned), I've never seen anything like that posted up! I may not be refreshing the post every few seconds/minutes, but I sure was checking it everyday, and BELIEVE me when I say, there were more decent blog post then.

*sigh* Times have changed..
For the worse? What do you think?

Spot the Diff !

This is very disappointing, I mean like seriously... Enough of dirt/mess on the ground but now you wanna try and grow them on trees? No matter how good green-tech will be, it ain't gonna help if people are gonna stuff their leftovers/dirt/mess on the actual greens...

A hint: Color difference...

Dining @ T-Bowl Sucks!

Just when you think another weekend couldn't or shouldn't get any worse than the previous one, I'd say it's Strike TWO! Bad weekends on a streak =( and this time it's on T-Bowl (aka Toilet Bowl) Concept Restaurant. Heck I think it's a rip-off as well, I've seen its serving a while back, and compared to that, I'd say they'd drop the ball on quality of their food. Thought I'd give it a try at the Sunway's Branch (well everyone deserves a chance right?) so brought family and a friend of my sis there... just to be disappointed...

Before you read the rest, take a short look
at the site and the picture of the food I ordered

Now brace yourself ...

Tasty Crusine (they got it spelled wrongly, it's Cuisine for crying out loud!) Chicken Rice

See what's missing?
Not only that, picture couldn't even tell me it's actually
a Kung-Pou Chicken Rice...
Worse still, doesn't taste like Kung-Pou at all, more of black pepper
(=.=")

Blue Curacao Bubble
I feel kinda cheated, it's like liquid sugar with blue syrup,
heck the icing you see on top, doesn't have any taste...

My opinion, they should have added a lil' sprite at the very least...
At least if you wanna cheat your customers, do it properly...
Otherwise, it's not even worth it...

Mushroom Chicken Chop Rice & Chinese Mambo Pork Rice
It's literally a MUSHROOM (original there were 2 mushrooms
and an extra wonton) and Chicken Chop Rice...
But oh c'mon! if I'm gonna order lemon grass chicken chop...
you mean I'll get lemon and GRASS? sheesssh people...

I mean I do have a sense of humor, but it's not quite there,
especially when a person's hungry...

And you know the saying "when you're hungry everything's good" ?
Well, it's wrong, it's good, if it's truly good...
but this... Arrrggghhh!

Japanese Style Fried Rice (Vegetarian) & Honey Lemon Tea
Don't get me started on this as well...
I don't expect much from this meal, but again,
even so, I should have been given a decent meal right?
*sigh*
The drinks were very PLAIN... so no comment..
(or rather, it's just not worth the additional words)

Donut Delight & Fried Pumpkin
Ice cream came melting its way to our table.
I manage to quickly snap a picture, before it really melts into soup
the Fried Pumpkin? I guess I didn't like it at all..

Complimentary fruit from a dinner set
The setting is just wrong...
But I guess this is alright after all ;)

Long stuffs short, if you'd asked me,
that would be my first and last time...
But hey, don't take my word for it,
you give them 1-time business, and be the judge of it yourself!
(please don't say I didn't warn ya...)

but of course, if in anyway, should they have improved themselves,
(in which I highly doubt it's possible, especially in a short time)
then you're very lucky!

My Honeymoon Experience Sucks!

I personally had one of THE most disappointment experience eating a dessert. To make things worst, it's the night of Mother's day where my sister decides to take us to eat at My Honeymoon! Don't know what I'm talking about? You gotta follow through on the story.

I got to know the place through a friend. Searched the net and found the Honeymoon site, and it looks amazing, they had lots of varieties, having my saliva dripping all over the keyboard just by looking at it!

So, Sis and I decided to head over (Kuchai Lama's branch),
and guess what we got there...
*shows angry fist!*

we specifically told the waiter to separate all the toppings and sauce from the main dish, and this is what they gave us (=.="). Unsatisfactorily, the kitchen gave us a lump of shit with different colors.

My mum had the chocolate set. The chocolate melted so badly, and for a moment I thought they had a war going on back there, that it turned out to be this way! *sigh*

I believe the war lasted a while, because the strawberry set that came in later, was alright *relieved*

Not only that, you see this mango above? In the earlier picture, if you'd noticed the mango was in a "mess". So we returned it to them and told them to change it because it was "messy". They went in and guess what? *points to the picture above* That's the same mango, but was washed with water before giving it back to us. WTF! Is this the way to do business? I asked for a new set, they CLEANED (with water) in hopes we'd believe it's a new set? You can still see the traces of "mess" there! OMG!

Very annoyed, disappointed and a little embarrassed (that our mum got a treatment she didn't deserve), we just finished it off to quickly get away from the place. FYI, the price for the dishes above aren't cheap either.

If you were me, what would you have done?

Note to Mum & Sis: So sorry to put you through this bad experience...
If only I'd knew better, that Honeymoon SUCKS!
I'd brought you to a better place...

Headache - One After Another

Gosh have I been so ever busy?! Lately been stressing out with my assignments and personal works. Honestly, I never liked my college life. I believe life has become so complicated since college started, and that my life would actually be better off without college. I'm so looking forward till the day I get out of that imprisonment (The only reason I'm stuck in college is 'cause I need a certificate and also due to certain obligations). Set aside this major headache, lately there were other headaches I need to worry about. My house!

You see, where I live in, my house is a mess - even worse after the rip-off renovation few years back. Back then, my family was cheated by a so-called contractor who said would renovate the house at a cheaper rate, but actually what he did was use ALL CHEAP STUFFS and UNDER-GRADED materials. So thereafter throughout the years, things have been slowly breaking down. If I listed them all, it'd be a dang long list. Recently there were these "breakdowns" again...

The Fuse Port

The problem was the electrical power supply..
According to the technician recommended by a friend of mine,
the connections previously done wasn't a good job,
so it was only a matter of time till something like come along..

Damage done:

Burnt out fuse, causing my house to STINK for hours...

Toilet Tap/Pipe Connector

The tap broke, followed by the pipe connector
The whole thing just turned into pieces...

Causing much mess in the toilet!

The water just gushed out!

Luckily mum had a plug for the pipe, but it didn't last that long...

We tighten the main pipe to the fullest, but it was to no avail...
water was still flowing...
I couldn't turn any further due to the tap was in a bent manner
and so the it kept flowing...
Had to call in a plumber!

Thankfully again, my friend knew a plumber who came the next day,
and helped out with the waterworks.
According to him, this isn't just a problem, apparently there's
more to it, like the connection of the main water tank and the
entire house's piping...
But fortunately he says, that is for another day, right now there's no
point of fixing it, 'cause it's still alright...
(plus, we didn't have enough time and money for the repairs)

Finally there's no leak!

This is one headache after another. I just don't know when the next "surprise" will be. *sigh* This would be my priority - to rebuild the house better than current condition!

Nokia Giveaway X6, But I Got Ribena Instead

Earlier, I attended the Nokia event of 'selling' the new Nokia X6 for only RM66 for the lucky 66 coupon holders, in which I saw was promoted by SmashPop. Went there with a couple of friends. The event management was a total disaster, enough said. I wasn't pleased with how a big company such as Nokia, would handle an event as such so poorly that I believe, I'd be able to do it better than them, even though I'm only a student (not to mention, I'm not from the management field).

It started off with such a hot and sunny day...
Alex and I decided to take things slow,
went down to KL to collect our pay checks,
made some simple plans and stuffs,
before heading down to the place.

You think this is bad?
Well guess again!
My day was worse... bad luck signs were everywhere...
1st, Alex accidentally bumped into a car
(luckily, no damage on either side, so it was a close call)

2nd, on the Sg Besi highway, suddenly a motorcyclist

bumped into Alex's car
(personally I think the dude's drunk, he was swiveling all over)

3rd, we saw this page of a magazine!
(nothing much really, but cruelty against animals is BAD!)

4th, heard some people had coupons, even BEFORE the promised time!
(WTF is that? Some people who went in super early got it!
Pffft! So much for the 7pm-released of redemption coupons)
Note: coupons are given out to a number of candidates,
then a ballot is held and lucky coupon holders takes home an X6

5th, when wanting to pick up our friends and rush down,
it just had to FREAKING rain heavily, with strong wind!
(this is really ridiculous, and I didn't notice it until later,
that it was all BAD signs!)

6th, reached there kinda early, but gate's not open,
even better, there's 2 sets of crowd, THE EARLY ONES,
who were inside and beyond the gates
and the NOT SO EARLY ONES (like us),
who were stuck behind the gates, outside in the rain!
(telling us that the gate's to be open only at 6pm,
when there's already a set of crowd there, is nonsense)

Read it upside down!
Oops I mean the other way around...

Thankfully there always friends around to help make the day better...
They're all I have.. gotta love them..
They're my sunshine yo!
Who's the 3 peeps?
Jacquelyn, Audrey and Alex
(3 of many who were there)

See how many umbrella-ella-ella are there?
Oh yeah, I've learnt that some words can't be used,
cause they either sound funny, wrong or lame...

"Imma feeling wet"
"You're all wet now"
"It's raining heavily, don't COME here"
"It's really heavy now, no point COMING here"
"Ella, it's all your fault, ella ella"

See what I mean?

But no matter what, you'll always see this familiar face...
I smile no matter what, in hopes to turning things around =)
However, things went really rough after that...
Lots of pushing, inconsiderate gestures, etc.

The moment the gate opened, the crowd went mad!
They pushed through like a wave of Tsunami...
I'd just lifted up my legs, and I'm sweep to the front!
Awesome? No!
Some people were knocked down and stepped about,
with others suffered minor bashing about while pushing through...
Kinda scary when you're in the situation...

But I survived!
How? 'Cause I'm awesome =D
See that smile on my face?
Scratch-less from the 'battle'!
Managed to crack some jokes in between the wait
to get the redemption coupons, while still 'being in a sardine can'.

Alas, when I managed to get through,
when I was in, when I was happy I finally made it through,
when I thought I had a chance to get the X6,
when I thought I'd had things for the better,
WHAMP!
"Redemption coupons are all given out...
All three thousand of them have been given out"

*speechless* ...

*curses* !@#%@)%^!%$(#^@#$*%!
What the hell? So fast?!
In just couple of minutes??!!
It wasn't enough 1000 people who went through...

But yes, the numbers were all up to 3000,
and that's the fact... All were gone...
So sadly, I'd to face the truth,
I couldn't take it no more, I'd suggested to the gang
to head out for dinner, and so we went!

We came back only to catch Boys Like Girls (BLG) singing their songs
The crowd was VERY much lesser than expected.
Apparently many had left, the moment they knew they lost their chance.
Still, the performance by BLG was nonetheless GREAT!

Wondering how this girl got up so high?
She was waving the thinga-majic like she never waved before!

She was comfortably sitting on someone's shoulder...
In fact, many girls had that privilege on the very night...
Lucky girls... If only I was one...
Then again... It wouldn't be too bad having a girl to sit on my shoulders
*grins*

So what I gained from the event?
Nothing much, except for this pack of Ribena!
Actually I lost my appetite the moment I lost the chance for a coupon..
After so much trouble and stuffs, the least you wanna know is
when you're that close *pinches finger* they're all out!
And so when I was disappointed, Ribena played its part!
It was given out for free, I took it instantly,
grabbed a sip, and it sweeten out the bitterness inside =D
And so I had a great dinner with an awesome bunch of friends!
Yes, you guys (you know who you are) play a great part tonight!
Thanks guys!

Worst Christmas Dinner

Last night, my family and I were invited to a Christmas dinner held by Wesley Methodist Church at Hotel Olympic (I've never heard of it, not till a week ago) by my mum's company. Went there early as I wasn't sure where it was allocated (thanks to maps.google.com we found our way). Up next would be my complete rantings of the night, so unless you're willing to find out how bad dinner was (or should I say, how bad the night went), don't read on and tell me otherwise.

Thought we had good seats, we were at table 100
Spot the table!

Well that's how far we were from the stage..
Guess what, for a performance catered for more than a thousand people
They had only TWO (2) speakers facing towards the middle crowd
So where we were seated, we couldn't hear much...
except for the loud bass... *applause*

See the menu?
Well, most of the dishes were repetitive in terms of ingredients
We had the SAME SOUP, in which the ingredients were used for
at least 2 other dishes.
Being the last table, we had our food served the last!
Super hungry by then, I nearly fell asleep...
(WHAT? being hungry makes makes me sleepy >.< )
Saw how small the chicken is?
Well that's for 10 people to feast on...
"Smart" people...

Alright so what's with the songs?
Plenty!
#1 Songs were badly arranged and no pauses in between,
leaving the crowd (consisting of mostly elders) gasping for breath
#2 Some songs were sang out of tune, and not many selection
were of Christmas theme...
#3 Mixing fast and slow songs together, making it go
fast-slow-fast-slow-fast-slow, not such a good thing,
when you want a crowd to sing-a-long
#4 What is with the lyrics? First glance, sis and I asked each other,
"Fill in the blanks ka?"
Rupa-rupa-nyer (Translate: Actually) it's telling us there's a long drag

Some had to sit down, cause ran out of breath...

The senior carolers...

The young carolers...

Just zoom in a little...

Musicians and coordinator

Was kinda bored, went around snapping random pictures

Our table were pretty much concentrated on the food...
Coz that's the most entertaining part of the night...
Laughing at the meals as they are repetitive,
"I think this is their specialty, Same-O-Dish-O
soup and greens were absolutely of the same ingredients..
just that they added one or two more vegetables into it..
SO 'CREATIVE' ~"

The few of us at table 100...

Don't know what this is...
Just another random shot I took off the outside...
Looks like a fish, if not mistaken?
Yes, no?
