Twitter: New Layout 2012!

I'm not sure when it changed, but recently when I accessed Twitter, I noticed the significant change of layout. I enjoy the new layout, not sure about you. I believe some of you, who uses Twitter via the Web, might be wondering where certain functionality went / disappeared to, so I took the liberty to make a couple of snapshots for your convenience =D (just a brief one to get you running on it, I believe you should try it yourself, and you'll know it better *grins*)

This is the Home page,
looks like a blog with plenty of widgets.

There's quick compose on the left side 'panel',
or you can access it via the blue button top right.

Wondering where your 'Mentions' went to?
Look no further, it's located under '@Connect' !

And the 'Discover' section!

Behold, the 'Direct Messages'...
Viewing it on a popup, See the conversational view, Search up other twiple in DM

This seems to be very handy!
Keyboard shortcuts...
I use it most of the time, how about you?

Windows 7 Launch In Malaysia

I attended the official launching of Windows 7 exactly a week ago, thanks to Shaz for the opportunity. I represented him, because he had to attend a course. It was a grand opening held in Plaza Low Yat, where representatives from Microsoft, Low Yat, NCMB (National Council for the Blind, Malaysia) and their collaborating partners, Intel, Acer, Dell, HP, AMD and so on. All of them had great vision of what's to come of Windows 7. Without further or delay, let me show you how the event went.

But first of all, allow me to briefly talk about Windows 7

The display products (front to back)
Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows 7 Home Premium
Windows Professional

What are the great features of Window 7?
  • Jump list
  • Aero Shake and Aero Peek
  • Snap
  • Longer Battery Life
  • Faster Start Up and Shut Down
  • Windows Taskbar Preview
  • Personalise Your Desktop
Minimum requirements for Windows 7?
  • 1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) ot 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1GB RAM (32-bit) or 2GB RAM (64-bit)

I was there early, I saw lotsa people in '7'

A view of the staff who had to be there earlier than me
because they needed to be briefed.

The entrance of the event, if you were there...
It'd be impossible to miss it!

[left] Around the corner, there was a demonstration of the latest graphic card
released by AMD, the ATi Radeon 5000 series... with the capability
to produce superb gaming view and feel, and the ability to support up to 6 monitors, only with the help of Windows 7
(other operating system have not been designed to do so, yet)

[right] There was a live twitter update shown on the display screen of
a 42" LCD monitor throughout the event...

As media, we had to sign up and register...
We will get something special for that... =)

Let's take a look at the schedule, shall we?

I was given this, Cool!

These are some of the representatives at the front row

Then it was time for Moses to kick off the events
with an introduction of the Windows 7...

Here's Ms. Yasmin Mahmood (left) and Mr. Yasir Yousuff (right)
doing their speech and a quick & easy demo to the crowd...

A short demo was shown on screen... Looks really cool on that!
[left] The live view of Windows 7 on screen... with some effects shown!

[right] That is a application supposedly to be pre-installed along
with Windows 7, called Virtual Earth - giving you a 3D view of a location
COOL!

The crowd was definitely pleased with the presentation
...

[left] A crew member came up to show how easy it is to navigate the Virtual Earth on touch screen which is supported with Windows 7

[right] Mr Moses Choo of NCBM sharing his opinions on Windows 7

Then it was time to officiate the launching of Windows 7!

And now it's official!
Next would be the picture of all collaborating partners with Microsoft...

Microsoft's Representatives with their products

After that, I spotted ThomasYap giving his testimony on Windows 7

Yes that was given to us media people...

Firefox 3.5.2 Not Stable in Windows 7

I had this error popping up like 20 plus times in a day...
DAMN suey/sway/swey I tell you..

Some friends of mine using Windows 7 are facing the same problem
Gosh, Windows 7 is still not stable...

Psst... If you're a gamer, you'd probably noticed that your game shuts down once in a while, out of a sudden, this is due to Windows 7 not having the necessary libraries for the games, or the game is still not yet compatible with Windows 7

*sigh*

Graphic Card Dieded...

Ladies and gentlemen, it's official, I'm sad to announce that at 12.30am last night, my loyal piece of hardware that has been serving me for the past half a decade has deceased. It was tough, but it was time for it to go. Rest In Peace dear graphic card of mine.

Alright enough of all those sad talks. Life has to go on. And now I'm surviving on integrated graphics, one thing which I hate the most, since it never performs up to my standard. Nevermind that. So, I took a shot of the deceased graphic card, and here's what messed up:

Model: ATI Radeon X1300 PCI-E
Age: 5 years
Usage: Minor gaming, average visual editing, watch movies
Problem: Aged and busted capacitors

Behold the X1300

A close up on the busted components

Garrrhhh.. Now I need a new graphic card..

How many feelings are there?

Have you ever wondered if feelings could be numbered?
and how many of them are there?

What are you feeling right now?
How feelings do have at the moment?

Well as I was browsing through the net randomly, I came to a website which led me to another website that amazes me A LOT - Twistori and then WeFeelFine. Upon opening the sites and selecting it's core, you'll be amazed by the constant updates and the number of stuffs that are going on.

Twistori was really attractive at first, since it was similar to Twitter, but I do not know how it works, because there was no update bar like Twitter's. Then as I continue going through site, it lead me to WeFeelFine and that took me to a different world.

Launching a pop-up from WeFeelFine, instantly astonished me because what I saw when it completely loaded was something that never came across my mind - pixels of dots, shapes, and colors representing different situations and emotions, and some even had pictures with them. With different clicks I could see something different happening, and I've not been able to click on the same thing twice!

I wouldn't spoil it for you... But what I would share out is the list of feelings that are listed on the site... Below are some of the feelings:

BabyNovo is sick.. =(

Awwwwh.. My poor poor baby is not feeling well. I guess it started two days ago, when I was doing some of my works with my baby. I notice something weird with her, but didn't bother about it, as I thought it's just a small matter. However, I still see the same sh*t happening again. Well actually it did not go away. =(

I'll show you the problem that had happened. Damnit! Heartache I tell you, it's heartbreaking. We've been together for less than a year, and now this? *sobs*

Ladies and gentlemen, what is shown to you,
is a hot pixel found on my my laptop's screen BabyNovo's face.
[the picture taken was not edited,
and the dust you see around it, is just dust]

What's a hot pixel?
It is a type of defective pixel, which stays lit and can be best seen against dark background. [shown in the picture above]. Another name for it is the glowing pixel. As you can see it glows.

Beware of Dell's Defective Part(s)

Recently, my friend and I have received a couple of complaints in regards of Dell's laptop - the 1420 series and 1525 series. When promised performance on the laptop, some complaint they were seeing anything different from laptops with a much lower specification. My friend and I, opened and tested the laptop. Apparently the problem was the RAM (Random-Access Memory) provided by Dell. Many of it from a brand called Hynix (so-called made in Korea) were defective and began to fail after a period of time after purchase.

the hynix DDR2 RAM

Seriously, they died after some time. Tested the same RAM and boy it is confirmed dead, unusable, defected and ready-to-be-in-oblivion!

First time, you use them all things are okay. Then it slows down. Suddenly reboot error, and eventually can't even boot up or pass the BIOS-boot-up screen. Plus, it happens at critical times. Wtf?!

Damnit Dell! If you wanna sell your stuffs, please do some QC (Quality Control) first... Nearly scared the shit out of your clients you know?

People, for your sake, please do check whether or not you're using this brand of RAM. If you are, please request for a change, immediately!

What Can You Do With This?

This is some crazy shit lens I tell you..

Some brief information

Lense Name: Sigma 200-500mm f2.8 EX DG
Weight: 35 Pounds (~11.4kg)

Focal length: 1000mm with 2x extender

Price: $24,000 (~RM91.2k)

A user had to take shots from 15-30 meters away from a fashion photography *blink blink*

This is some whacked up lense I tell you, but if I ever had one, I'd probably snap pictures 24/7 or zoom into the apartment down the street, to see what's showing on TV... or then again, I'd probably just frame it up and get stoned by staring at it every single minute, cause it would be my priced-possession-that-led-me-into-bankruptcy-wtf *grins*

New Earphones!

Wootza~!
After one pastering about it for a whole year,
I finally got mine =D

Initially, I had a dilemma on choosing..
Either it was the Edifier BUD 280 or the Creative EP-630

*gulps*

But after checking out the specifications and
personally testing them myself, I made up my mind.

I'm sticking onto the EP-630!!

Why? What's the difference?
Well, if you're a little picky on the sound quality,
and you have a moderate budget,
This is definitely worth every cent!

It is quite sensitive to sounds ranging from low to high tone
(6Hz to 23KHz) means it can pick up bass easily till the treble end.
It's light (9 grams), in-ear (for noise isolation),
and its cord is long enough (at least, for me at 1.2m)

My ratings: 8.5 out of 10

What does it lack of?
For the price, I don't really expect much of the noise isolation.
Even when I plugged them into my ears,
I can still hear a little noise from the external surroundings
(at volume level 1)

The sound that is produced is much softer than the previous
earphones that I've used. Well it's not a problem cause
I don't usually turn on loudly, or I could just boost up the
volume level, it's a small matter.

Of course, this set of earphones is good enough for me,
but it'd be better if it could allow me to experience a more-or-better
quality of the 3D surround.

Oh well...

Right now I'm enjoying the bits of music
I'm listening to..
Even by playing music at default settings on the equalizer,
it still sounds great~!!

*jumps in joy~!*

Wootza~!
