Denim City Girls

Hello -

Its the 15TH so... not only does that mean its PAYDAY!! but it is also the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up. I coloured up this image called City Girls.
I coloured the image with copics and cut a frame using a Lawn Fawn die from Demin fabric - I glued this first to card to give it more sturidness (is that a word??) and help stop it fraying. The die cut through the fabric really well!  So much I decided to cut a flower also to match the flower in the girls hair and added a little red button and some red ribbon. Demin is just so practical on a city break!!

Be lovely to see you join our challenge - only rule is you have to use an All Dressed Up image and they are gorgeous you will be spoilt for choice!!!

See you all soon -I'm off out for a run whilst the weather is nice and dry.
Have a great evening and week,

Chocolate is always the answer

Hey - I have been playing along with Stamping Bella  and made this card using Edna loves Chocolate Seeing as it was all about the chocolate - I themed it with purple that reminded me of Cadburys wrappers and Dairy milk!!

I cut a panel of purple spotty paper from Doodlebug Kraft in colour collection which I die cut with a  My Favourite things scalloped edge die. I also used a double stitched oval die to cut out the image which I stuck to the base card with 3d foam. The Thank you sticker is from Pebbles which I cut down slightly to fit in better.

I added a spotty co-ordinating button which I tied with the red twine. I stamped the greeting and then used promarkers to colour a chocolate Peel Offs and then added some little heart gems from Hobbycraft.

This is a bit of a close up to show you the sparkle on her wings from Spectrum Noit Sparkle pen.

I used these Promarkers to colour Edna -

Skin- Usual
Hair - Saffron, Cinnamon, Henna & Walnut
Wings - Powder Blue & Blue pearl
Clothes - Wild Orchid, Boysenberry & Aubergine
Chocs - Walnut, Saffron, Cool grey, Umber
Poppy & Burgundy
Leaf Green and Grass.

I hope you like her - I reckon I probably look at chocolate as adoringly as Edna!!
Have a good day,

I glued a green stripy button to the card and used some twine to tie a charm to the card. Finally I added some co-ordinating Doodlebug Enamel dots and a resin butterfly.

Special card for a special goodbye.

Hello - time to share a commissioned card. I love that I can make such personalised cards - This was for a teacher who was leaving. I was able to find the perfect image from Some Odd Girl called Little Loves - the Tobie version.(It is available with a little girl also.)  I used a colour scheme to match the Nursery uniform colours and to colour the image to match the hair and add names. Where else can you get a card so specific unless you go to a crafter for handmade!?

The papers are all from Doodlebug - The multi-coloured stars are from Anchors Aweigh pad,  the notepad is from Hello Sunshine and the blue ziz-zag from Kraft in Colour has been used to cut stars with a nestibilities die. The letters spelling out Gaynor and the small star sprinkles are also Doodlebug.

I also added a strip of yellow ribbon and a button which I tied a twine bow around. I stamped the top part of the greeting using Harolds ABC stamps from Lawn Fawn and then added some big Chalkboard letters from Jenni Bowlin. I think it ties it all together really nicely.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin  - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral, Spice and Baby Pink cheeks
Her Hair - Warm Greys
Her Top - Mulberry & Plum Preserve
Her trousers - Demin Blue, Polar Blue &Pastel Blue.

His hair - Burnt Sienna, Firewood, Cocoa & Walnut
His Top - Egyptian Blue, Royal Blue & Indigo Blue
His trousers - Cool Grey 2, 3, 4 & 5

I hope you like this card and the special person its made for does too!

Sundae Sue

Morning all - I have Bagsy'd the brand new images being released today for my card using Sundae Sue. There are matching papers and a separate Sundae glass too which I have used to create a little gift tag. I can just picture her in a Diner with her can of squirty cream being all flirty with the customers!! You can find all the new releases HERE at the Dr Digi shop

I have used the matching papers in pink and mounted them on black card. I stuck a little scrap black spotty paper in the bottom corner as a floor for Susie to stand on. I added a little pink spotty ribbon and punched a circle from gold card that I attached the Craftwork Cards greeting to. I then added SWEET in big gold American Craft Thickers. I have also used a little diamond stickles on both the card and the tag. To the tag I also added a button where the cherry is and attached some twine to the button.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair -  Buttercup, Pineapple crush & Sleigh bells.
Dress - Baby pink, Carmine & Magenta, Powder blue & Bluebell.
On the Sundae - I also used Poppy and Eggnog.

On My Farm...

Howdie... (Farmers terminology right??) Todays post is to tell you all about the new Challenge at All Dressed Up Blog. It is always an Anything Goes theme as long as you use an All dressed up image. I have used an image called On my Farm
There was a little irony around the creation of this card as I had spent all day in the Garden putting horse manure on the flower beds so I did smell a bit like I'd been down on the Farm! Don't worry I did shower before I put my grubby hands on my precious paper stash!!

Speaking of paper - How ace is this perfectly plaid paper from Lawn Fawn!! They are all so bright and lush!! I teamed it with a strip of Country Fair green paper from My Favourite Things to mirror the grass. (These two companies can do no wrong in my opinion at the moment.)
I used a Lawn Fawn Die called "Inside out diagonal stitched Square" to cut the image out and mounted each layer onto Black bazzill.
I die cut a flower using Marianne Design and glued a pearl to the middle. The two smaller flowers are sequins from Doodlebug which I glued a gem to the middle of. I also die cut some clouds (I can't remember what brand they are ... Sorry. I normally write it on the back but haven't on these.) which I stuck to the card to overhang the image and then added a bright yellow button to represent the sun. Finally I used a little silver pen to highlight the wheels and grill on the tractor.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Sky - Powder blue with lots of blender pen.
Wooden fence and carts - Caramel, Cocoa & Raw Sienna.
Pig - Blossom, Baby pink & Antique Pink.
Chicken - Poppy & Yellow.
Tractor - Yellow, Gold & Sleigh bells.
Grass - Leaf Green & Pressed leaf.
Tyre's - Black, Cool greys 3,4 & 5
Cow & Sheep's face - Ice Greys 3, 4 &5

I hope you like how My Farm turned out - it looks pretty idyllic but I reckon the manure is just out of shot!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for visiting and Im looking forward to seeing all your creations entered into the Challenge.

Caveman Klob

Morning  - Today's card from me is made with a Dr Digi image called Caveman Klob.
I've never coloured this one before and it was fun to get the Promarkers on. I stuck with the animal print and went with loads of it!

I love his Neandethal brow - I imagine he is staring off into the distance waiting for the passing beast to club and drag back to his woman! Makes me think he would also be great for a Valentines card!

The paper is from My Favourite Things and is called Wild Things. I used the same green paper with a woodware leave punch to cut out the few branches. I also used an animal print embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the orange card and mounted it on the black bazzill. I did the same with the animal print ribbon that I had in my stash. I carried on the animal print theme and used Amercian Craft thickers "Cheetah" for the numbers 50 and the Happy Birthday is from Pebbles. Finally I added a little green button in the top left corner which was also from my large stash!

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Tash & Stone wheel - Blue Grey 1, 3 & 4
Club - Vanilla, Raw Sienna & Cocoa.
Clothes - Bright orange, Burnt Orange, Spice & Cool greys.
Grass - Grass, Moss & Pine

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

I hope you all have a great Sunday and enjoy your week.

Stamping Bella Christmas labels.

This is the final post of christmas cards... I think anyway! These are two cards I made with Uptown girls Chrystal's christmas label from Stamping Bella
The first card I made for a cousin who we always give Money too rather than buy presents so the gold tag has a little pocket at the bottom to slip notes into. I used a sizzix die to cut the tag and fussy cut around the image.

I created the pocket by sticking some Doodlebug paper on the diagonal and then attached the image to the top. The red snowflake paper and the Holly paper below are also from Doodlebug North Pole collection. I used some green ribbon and tied the snowflake button to it and then used Doodlebug letters to personalise the card with the name "Gemma".

On both cards I used Star dust stickles on the fluffy bits of her dress and hat. I also used a white gel pen to add reflection to the candy cane and also gold pen on her belt and the little bow. On this card I added some red ric rac ribbon and a holly die cut with some red gems for the berries.

I used the same promarkers and flexmarkers on both cards -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice with Baby pink cheeks.
Dress - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal Red.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Belt - Ice Grey 3, 4 & 5
Powder Blue shading.

Right - few birthday cards for you catch up on but Ill not overload you at once! Don't want you getting bored of me!!
Take Care,

Time for tea.

Morning all - Its TIME for another challenge - in fact is Challenge #291Time at I Love Promarkers.

I used this lovely image from Tiddly inks image called Alice - time for tea.
It was nice to make a bright and summery card amidst all the black of Halloween creations and Autumnal colours of brown and orange.

To make this card I used a Spellbinders nestibilities to die cut a frame from mirri card. The background paper is from Echo Park Country Drive range. I added a small blue bow which i tied from my stash of ribbon and looped a little yellow twine around the middle. The greeting - which you can't really read very well on the picture, says "TIME FOR CAKE" and is from a pack of Dovecraft toppers called Cupcake boutique. I added a white paper flower and glued a yellow resin flower in the middle to mirror the pattern on the paper. The two smalled blue flowers are buttons which I glued a yellow homemade enamel dot into the middle of.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Buttercup, pineapple crush, Canary, Sleigh bells & Raw Sienna.
Dress - Cloud blue, Colbalt blue & China Blue.
I also used Ice grey 1 & 2 along with some silver pen and glaze on the clock face.

Speedy recovery turtle

Morning - this is my latest post for I love Promakers and this weeks theme is Get Well Soon. The sponsor is QKR Stampede and the image I have used is called Black eye Turtle.

Confession time - I picked this image as I wanted to make a pun on speedy recovery but tragically I didn't have enough Letter "e" rub ons so I had to go with the greeting of GET WELL SOON! These rub ons are on a Jillibean soup sticker.
I have used green spotty paper from Doodlebug Kraft in colour collection and the tree paper is from Echo Park Country Drive. I mounted everything onto Brown Bazzill shimmer card.
I cut the image out using the Friskars cutter and layered this onto the brown also.
I raided my stash for ribbon and a button which I tired with some twine.

I used these pro/flexmarkers to colour the turtle -
Shell - Lime Zest, Lime twist, Lime green & Pear greem
Body - Emerald & lush green
Eye - Aubergine, purple velvet & wild orchid.

I promised previously to show you a picture of my stashes and my craft room so...

Autumn Leaves

Morning - This post is my latest creation for the DT at I love Promarkers. The theme this week is
Autumn and I have used this image from Tiddly Inks called Wryn's Leaves.

I love the Autumn colours - although not quite my usual bright schemes - they are still so colourful. I have used 3 different sheets of paper and they are all from Simple Stories collection, ironically called I Heart Summer - they are very warm shades but still perfect for Autumn.
I die cut 3 leaves from some different colour paper scraps and I used a little hole punch to tie them together with twine, which I then tied in a bow on the button (As always from my stash of buttons & ribbon). The greeting is from Jillibean Soup and was a perfect colour match. I also added a few enamel dots from My Minds Eye Jubilee collection. I hand cut the wave and used a corner rounder (is that a word??) on the image panel and based Kraft card.

I used these promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour Wryn -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Chestnut & Raw Sienna.
Leaves - Grass & Forest, Summer Sun & Sleigh Bells, Honeycomb & Spice, Lime Zest & Lime Green, Pesto & Olive, Maroon & Burgundy.
Pile of leaves - Mixture of the above colours as well as Soft Khaki.
Background - Khaki, Icicle & Ivory.

A special card for Nan's 80th

This post is to show a special card I made for my boyfriends Nan who turned 80 years old recently. Not that you would think it to watch her - she is as fit as a fiddle.
I used a stamped image from  Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Pippa loves to plant.
The image was perfect as Nan loves her garden and we had also bought her some lovely silver & pearl flower earrings, which I made a little card for. (Picture below...)

I've used a digital image from Etsy shop - KB and Friends to print the Vintage bingo cards,
for the background as this combines Nan's love for Bingo and the family!
The coral flower paper is from Carta Bella - Hello Again range and the mint green flower paper is from AC Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic.
I have used bazzill swiss dot cardstock for the die cut and punched leaves, along with a load of different paper flowers which I bought from The Ribbon Girl.
The greeting is from Pebbles and I attached the button with some natural twine. I also used Doodlebug letters to spell Nan and add 80th. I've used a large 8 X 8 white card blank and mounted everything on kraft card. I also used a Martha Stewart punch to make corners from the left over Kraft.  Finally I added a load of gems for some extra bling and various colours of liquid pearls in the middle of the flowers!

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, blush, soft peach & coral.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Mustard & Sleigh Bells.
Flowers -  Antique Pink & Salmon Pink / Carmine & Baby pink / Buttercup & Mango.
Leaves - Leaf green, Apple & Forest Green.

I die cut the image using a spellbinders nestabilities die and I added some aqua ribbon and pink ribbon tied through the holes - both are from my ribbon stash (Which is huge and I'll show you a picture one day - they are all organised in jars by colour!)
The enamel dots I made from Perle beads and the Button is from Do Crafts. I mounted the image on 3d foam to give it some dimension and you can't really see it here on the picture but I also added a little Star dust stickles to the dots around the image.

Little Darcey Grace.

I made this card for my Friends Bev & Magnus who have just welcomed their daughter into the world. They have called her Darcey Grace and she is lovely.

I kept the card simple as for a baby card I don't think it should be too blingy or garish (Like my cards often can be!)
The image is called Bentley and Bunny and is from Digi Stamp Boutique. I die cut the image using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and mounted it on the next size up. I used a cloud die from Die-namics to cut apertures from the Kraft card. I wrapped some pink striped ribbon from Doodlebug around the base and stuck the base down with 3d foam to give it some dimension. I knotted the ribbon and tied a pink dotty button around it with some pearl twine. The letters and numbers are from Doodlebug also.

I added some crystal Gems from Papermania and a pink heart button from my stash.

On Bentley I used warm grey promarkers
On Bunny I used Baby Pink, Cerise & Pale Blossom.

I added a little Glacier Blue around the bunnies and also to add some subtle cloud shadows.
I used Honeydew, Green Shoots & leaf green to colour the Grass.

Enjoy Retirement.

I made this card as a special request for a Retirement card. I used an image called Deirdery's Day Off from Dr Digi. I love the humour in these images but still wanted it quite feminine.

I stuck to two patterned papers from My Minds Eye - Now & Then Collection onto a sheet the same size as the the card and attached a strip of co-ordinating Bazzill Swiss Dot. I then Die cut the circle from Spellbinders which I stuck on top of the coloured image using 3d foam so it was raised. I also drew around the die to get a slightly larger frame which I cut by hand. I paper pieced the Sunshade and towel and added glaze to her glasses, jug and Cocktail.
I used a Die-namics die to cut the Banner and added Websters pages letter stickers to spell out "Retirement" - Luckily there were just enough flags! I cut "Enjoy" from glitter paper using my Cameo machine - Which I really need to use more to its full potential!
Finally I added a ribbon bow tied with a button and twine, along with some pink gems to add the Bling.

Deirdery is coloured with the following Promarkers and Flex markers -
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft Peach, Blush, Antique White
Hair - Baby Pink, Cerise, Lipstick Red.
Swim suit - Honeydew, Pastel Green, Frosted Jade,
Sun lounger - Cocoa, Caramel, Cinnamon.
The drink is coloured with Soft Lime, Yellow & Mustard. I then went over the top with Frozen Lake to add the Glass effect.
I also used some Warm Grey 3 to add shadow to the paper piecing.

Cake - I love the cake!

This card is for my second post as part of Dr Digi Design Team. You can find the image here...
Its simply called Cake and Candles. It is a brand new release and it is one of those essential images that you can use over and over again. And even better its only £1.00! It could be coloured or paper pieced to match any of your background papers or made huge to be the cards itself... umm I like that idea - think I'll try that myself! There are loads of great images and 4 new ones this week for you to create with... I want them all!!

Card recipe -
Doodblebug papers - The flowery glittery red paper is called Sweet Cakes - appropriate huh?!
Cake - Sleigh bells, Sunflower, Tulip, Buttercup, Ivory.
Jam - Sunset red, Molten red & Ruby.
Icing - Carmine & Baby Pink covered with Pink chunky doodlebugs glitter.
Flames - Orange and Yellow stickles.
Candles - Green & Lush Green.

I added a section of yellow ribbon to conceal the join between the two papers and die cut white and Black paper using Spellbinders dies. I used 3d foam to attach it to the die cuts and give it dimension.
The greeting is a stamp from Sizzix which I used the stickles on again- as a final touch I added a  pink heart button.

I am entering this card into the following challenges -

www.papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk - Anything Goes
