Eggcellent Halloween Idea

For those of not terribly excited about decorating our houses for Halloween or didn't have time to buy any pumpkins this year, there are still options!

"I don’t really decorate for Halloween, but I did whip out a marker and turn my eggs into little ghosts. Aren’t they cute? Now I’m going to be sad every time I crack one. Have fun doing whatever Halloween-y things you have planned for this evening!"

Sneak into your fridge at night and work some magic on your eggs. Maybe you could even make likenessess of your roommates or significant other. Too bad mine doesn't eat eggs. I'd really love to see his face when he discovers these in the fridge! via

Run for your Lives 5k Run!!

After running the Women's Classic 5k, this seems more appropriate...

1. It's a 5k run. Or possibly a 10k run, depending on which route you take.
2. It's also an obstacle course
3. You are chased by Zombies.

I am SO signing up.
Oh, and the girls I work with? Signing up to be Zombies.

Most excellent.

Spoooooky Ghost Ship Adventures!

Armed with cameras and overnight gear, a very adventurous group decided to infiltrate the U.S. Naval Fleet's reserve ships. These ships, floating in Suisun Bay, were "retired" for decades and have been sitting unused! (Some even served in WW II!).

Here are some fancy photos of their excursion around the ships, into the captains quarters and even what looks like a dentist's office! Inside the Ghost Ships of the Mothball Fleet

Glad someone else went here to take these photos.
I'm pretty sure I'd be scared poop-less!

What the Crap? Crazed Hausu Jap Film comes to the Senator!

WTF is this?!!!?? If I didn't know better, I'd think my brain was on acid and my head just exploded into a million vomiting kitties! (yep, it's in the trailer).
Easily the wierdest most drug-encouraging "horror" movie, House(Hausu), is coming to the Senator this weekend!

Janus Films summed it up pretty good:
How to describe Nobuhiko Obayahshi’s 1977 movie House? As a psychedelic ghost tale? A stream-of-consciousness bedtime story? An episode of Scooby Doo as directed by Dario Argento? Any of the above will do for this hallucinatory head trip about a schoolgirl who travels with six classmates to her ailing aunt’s creaky country home, only to come face to face with evil spirits, bloodthirsty pianos, and a demonic housecat.

I'm going. Someone come with and assure me this is all just a dream?

UPDATE: I will now have nightmares of turning into bananas. This movie was way more bizarre than I could ever, EVER imagine. Even my hubs, who hates my wierdo taste in movies, said he was gonna buy the DVD just to inflict the horror on other people! Personally I think it was all the underage boobies. :)

I miss Halloween already...

Rats, I should have thought of this for my costume! Instead, I confused people by dressing like Holly Golightly, who apparently looks a lot like a First Lady... sigh. via

Bmore Poliz Pulls Gun in Haunted House....Cause He got the Scaredies!

Never have I been so proud to be a Balti-MORON! Ahhhh yes.
Leatherface = O, Bmore Cop = 1
A Baltimore city police officer was charged with assault after he pulled a gun on a haunted house character over the weekend.

Baltimore County police said Sgt. Eric Janik, 36, pulled his gun on a haunted house employee dressed up as the killer from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" at the House of Screams show in Essex on Sunday. Police said the employee approached Janik after the haunted house tour was over in a bid to get "one last scream."Instead, Janik, who was off-duty, pulled his service weapon and pointed it at Michael Morrison's chest.
Everyone's okay, but the copper, who was CLEARLY intoxicated, has been suspended w/out pay until a formal hearing.

And the employee needs a new pair of pants. link/ via

The New Nightmare on Elm Street...Trailer

I've got some mixed feelings about this...like:

1) Michael Bay = YAY! Micheal Bay + Transformers 2 = BOOO!

2)Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy = YAY! Robert Englund not as Freddy??? = BOO!
Helloo??? He's played Freddy 12 TIMES!!! (not counting each Freddy TV episode). THERE IS NO OTHER FREDDY KRUGER.

3) Scarier = YAY! Less Jokey = BOOO!!! (according to Jackie's interview)

4) There's been 9 Elm Street Sequels. Do we really, really, really need another one?

5) Why are we remaking GREAT old movies?

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Trailer

Adblock

Synopsis!
THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present-day. It tells the story of Dr. Parnassus and his extraordinary ‘Imaginarium’, a traveling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. Blessed with the extraordinary gift of guiding the imaginations of others, Doctor Parnassus is cursed with a dark secret. An inveterate gambler, thousands of years ago he made a bet with the devil, Mr. Nick, in which he won immortality. Centuries later, on meeting his one true love, Dr. Parnassus made another deal with the devil, trading his immortality for youth, on condition that when his daughter reached her 16th birthday, she would become the property of Mr. Nick.
Of course you'll know it as Heath Ledger's last movie...I'll now refer to it as "The ultimate awesomeness from Terry Gilliam". Since "The ultimate awesomeness from Terry Gilliam" was left unfinished, Collin Farrell, Johnny Depp and Jude Law will be filling in the blank spots. Looks like Eye Candy every which way!
