CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #23

Hello Baby
The challenge this week is to use items from the Sale-A-Bration and Occasion catalogs. For my card I decided use the stamp set Little Sunshine and the Sweet Dreams products featured on pages 38-39 of the 2015 Occasions catalog.

I think this collection is adorable.  I chose Marina Mist for a boy themed card.  Blushing Bride would make a pretty pink card for a baby girl.

Here is a list of what I used and product numbers if you would like to CASE my card. Visit my website at kimogden.stampinup.net

Thanks for joining me today and check out the challenge at

Altered Book

Hope everyone is having a creative weekend.  I have been working on a challenge project for 2 Shabby Sisters Studio.  The challenge is to alter a book.  I have to say it was very hard for me to cut up a book to make the inside.  It was an old book from the flea market, so I know it was well read.  I kept telling myself I can use all the pages in other projects.  So here is a picture of the final project.

I decided to make a baby keepsake book.  The papers I used are Anna Griffin.  Here is a list of the embellishments I used
Anna Griffin stickers
Graphic 45 door plate and knob
Graphic 45 keyhole
Recollection flowers (white)
Steam distress ink (dye flowers)
Antique white paint (distressing and flowers)
Martha Stewarts (rocking horse and alpha stickers)
Recollections bling and lace
Rosette and Ribbon Cricut cartridge (Rosette)
Modge Podge frames
Offray blue gingham ribbon

Here are more pictures showing details.

And now the inside.

Hope you enjoyed my book.  I love the way it turned out. I plan to put little mementos inside from when my son was born, such as his bracelet from the hospital. Those kinds of things.

Sketch Challenge #204 at FCCB

FCCB challenge for this week is to use this sketch for your project.

.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I made tags for baby gifts.  I have some co-workers who are pregnant. So I made one for a boy and one for a girl using "Little Miss" and "Little Mister" DCWV stacks.
The tags were cut from the paper using George and Basic Shapes @ 5".  I embellished them with a star cut from this cartridge. I used coordinating Stickles for some shine on each star. The girlie one has a flower and the boy one has a pinwheel brad.  For the B is for Baby I used the cards from the paper stack.  I used hand dyed crinkle ribbon in yellow and pink.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is My Craft Spot.
Hope you will play along.

IT'S A GIRL

I'm on a baby card kick.  It all started on Tuesday when I needed a card for a baby shower and now I can't stop myself from using all those cute images from bydigitalpaper.  Here is my most recent card.  I will propbably be posting more as they are made.

I stamped the lavender card background with VersaMark and heat embossed it with Ranger Holigraphic embossing powder. The stamp I used  "It's a Girl" is from my stash, at the time I was throwing away the packaging so I don't know who it's by.  Now I keep my stamps in their original packing so I will know what company made them so I can give them credit in my post.
The adorable baby girl image is a frame cut from Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge  at 3.00".  I used cotton candy Stickles around the image.  I then punched a piece of pink polka dot paper with Martha Stewart's scalloped edge  punch. The lavender ribbon is also from my stash.

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges.

Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes
and

That's it for now, be back again to post some more baby cards. Thanks for looking.

SHABBY BABY GIRL

HI! Hope everyone is having a good week.  Attending a baby shower and need a card. I thought it turned out so cute I had to share.  I am also entering it in The Shabby Tea Room challenge for this week. The challenge is a baby girl or boy project.

The image I used is from bydigitalpaper on Etsy .  It is a 2.5" circle "Baby Party" collage page.  I used my Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge is cut the scalloped frame at 3.50"  I then heat embossed it with Frantage Shabby Pink embossing powder.  The papers are from my stash white card base, pink and then a pink polka dot. I inked the edges with a pink taffeta ink.  I used some pink lace and pink hand dyed crinkle ribbon.  The flower is recollections from Michael's.  I finished the card off with a banner sentiment hand written in pink glitter.

Hope you like it as much as I do. I hope the Mom to be likes it too.

FCCB Challenge #166 Frame It

My project this week is literally an altered frame from Wal-Mart.  It cost .97 cents. I am showing it two ways.  This first picture is how I displayed it on FCCB.

The second picture is using the frame for a picture of my youngest son when he was a baby.

It was fun to make. I used a lot of Cricut cartridges for this one.
Country Life - banner
Doodlecharms - baby bottle
Cricut Sampler -onesie and rattle
Elegant Edges - little frame

Here's how it all came together.  First I painted the frame with Folk Art paint Metallic Blue. I then cut my shapes out on the Cricut and pieced them together.  The felt stickers are from Martha Stewart. I also used her blue and white twine.  I used small beads between each banner. All the outlining and stitching are done with a blue glitter pen.  The buttons are from my stash.  The rocking horse charm was from a baby shower.
As you may have guessed I horde everything in case I can use it for something.

I think it is so sweet and adorable.  I think I will try one in pink just for fun. I did buy two frames so if I messed  up I had a backup. Hum, I do have some pink paint too.

Join us this week at FCCB and share your frame projects.

FCCB CHALLENGE # 161 OH BABY!

The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to create a project for a new baby. My project is a rosette for a gift bag.  I used Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge to make this rosette.

The paper I used is some I had leftover from my niece's baby shower scrapbook. I cut the rosette at 2.50" and used 4 cuts pieced together to get this shape. I used a scalloped circle cut at 2.50" and the inner circle cut at 2".  I used hot glue to secured everything together.

The rocking horse is one of the stickers from Martha Stewart and so is the felt borders and stars on the white satin ribbon.  The bling is something I purchased at Tuesday Morning.

I hope you will join us at FCCB for this fun challenge. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.  I try to visit the blog of every entry. Good luck!

Challenge #156 at FCCB, April Showers

This week the challenge at FCCB is to use an umbrella on your project.  I have decided to submit a layout page from a scrapbook I have been working on for my niece.  I am sooo! behind. Her baby is a year old and I am just getting around to making this scrapbook from February last year. This challenge motivated me to get started and I am almost done. Yeah!

I used two Cricut cartridges for this layout, Celebrate with a Flourish for the umbrella and Country Life  for the banner. The umbrella was cut at 4" in three different colors and paper pieced.  I accented it with Stickle's in baby blue and turquoise.  The banner is cut in two sizes to layer and strung together with Martha Stewart twine in blue and white. I also used felt blue letters by Martha Stewart.  I got these for only a $1.00 at TJMaxx.  Needless to say I bought all three sets they had which was good since I needed that many to complete the scrapbook.  The invitation is from the baby shower.  Throughout the scrapbook I incorporated little memento's from the baby shower.

Here's the tip for this project.  I ran out of O's so I took the Q's and removed the tails to make O's.  When do you use Q's anyway? Not very often.

Join us this week with your umbrella project and as always have fun.
Bye, Bye for Now,
