Challenge # 220 Wet and Wild

The challenge this week at FCCB is to create a water related project.  I used Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge to cut out the seahorse for another project were I was making mutilpes of the same thing.  What was left over was this negative cut which I thought would make an interesting card.  Here it is

Here is a list of the supplies I used
DCWV- Beachside coordinations paper
G45 Botanical Tea paper
EK Sucess border punch
Embellishments-shells, starfish, flat back pearls and twine

To make the By the Sea banner I cut strips of the Botanical Tea paper in to the different shapes and adhered some glitter alpha stickers.  To string the banner I used a small hole punch and threaded blue hemp through the holes.  I attached it to my card with little button brads from my stash.

Hope you will join us for this fun challenge.

MIX AND MATCH CHALLENGE # 195 AT FCCB

It's time for another challenge at FCCB.  This week our projects are to contain 3 different patterns of paper. I have been working on a banner for a baby shower. I used alot of different patterns on each of the flags all from the same paper stack "Little Miss" from DCWV.

I used Elegant Edges and Storybook for this banner. I cut the letters to spell the baby's name, Autumn. I cut a different shape using different patterns of paper from Elegant Edges.

I purchased the chipboard banner from Hobby Lobby. I painted the back with pink paint then adhered the paper to the front. The layers consist of patterned paper, a white paper doilie, the cut shapes of paper and then the letters.  It's hard to tell in my picture but there is a sublte pattern on the paper I used for the letters.

I used prima flowers and little flat back pearls for the centers.  The two butterflies are cut from the paper. I used baby blue stickles for some sparkle and another flat back pearl on the butterflies. I will be stringing it together with pink and green ribbon from my stash.

After the baby shower the banner will be used as a nursery wall decoration. Great idea for a gift don't you think?  I hope the mom-to-be loves it. I like the way it turned out.

Our sponsor for this week is Jaded Blossom.

Show us your Mix and Match projects for a chance to win a set of stamps or be picked as a Design Team Top 5.  Have fun and link up.

Challenge # 183 at FCCB

This weeks challenge is to make a home decor project. I made this Halloween banner using two Cricut cartridges, Happy Haunting and Celebrate with a Flourish. I had diffuculty photographing the entire banner into one picture so I took several pictures showing the detail of it in sections.

I used the Vampire font from Happy Haunting for my letters to spell SPOOKY. The first flag has a witch flying across the moon from Celebrate with a Flourish. I used eyelash trim in red and black and black sheer ribbon. I cut several frames from Happy Haunting and used aged gold embossing powder to make them look like aged metal.  I used several stickers and brads from my Halloween stash and the paper line I used was from DCWV Ghosts and Goblins.
That's it. Hope you enjoyed
and get inspired to make your own project
