*The mojo is far away these days, especially for masculine cards that I'm usually very comfortable with. And now I had to whip up a card for my brother-in-law who had his birthday on Halloween. They didn't celebrate on that day so I fortunately got some extra time, but as president of the procrastination club it didn't help a lot. It was still a quick and easy card made at the last minute.*

Takk for at du titter! :)

*So late acutally that I forgot to take a picture before I left for the party. So here's a mobile phone pic taken in a hurry. I've used one of my favorite chevron papers from Fancy Pants with simple kraft and blue Bazzill cardstock. The idea was to wrap the present in blue paper, but of course I couldn't find the blue wrapping paper, so I went for black instead. The sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad is embossed in white on kraft cardstock. And the decor is nothing else than some cool wooden stars from Studio Calico. Nice and easy!

Thanks for looking! :)*

Anniversary card

*Not too long ago my in-laws had their 50th anniversary. Unfortunately there were so much stress ahead that I didn't have time to finish the card for their day, but I hope they will still appreciate it. They haven't got their present yet either, so I hope it'll be okay.*

Jeg har brukt et nydelig ark fra Pion Designs From My Heart II kolleksjonen og holdt dekoren enkel for å la arket komme frem.
*I've used a gorgeous paper from Pion Designs From My Heart II collection and kept the decor simple to let the paper stand out.*

*The photo of the couple from 50 years ago I got from my sister-in-law. I simply mounted it on Bazzill kraft and vanilla mats. The names and wedding date I printed from my computer and diecut with Spellbinders dies. The flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Kort og Godt and the pearls from my stash I can't live without anymore. Definately favorite products for cardmaking.*

*Behind the photo I've hidden a Magnolia tag with a sentiment from Kort og Godt decorated with seambinding from WOC and a big pearl from my stash.*

*Inside the papers get to play the lead role, I've only stamped a text from Kort og Godt directely onto the paper.*

*On the bottom page there is plenty of space to write a personal greeting.*

*And in the back I've used the same recipe and stamped my personal Rox stamp directely onto the paper with a little sentiment from Norsk Stempelblad.*

Ha en deilig sommerdag!

Team Scrapping - Mer Papirdesign

Artikkelen kan du lese her.

Purple and blue

I love both purple and blue almost equally yet I've never thought about using them both at the same time, but that's what I did for today and I made another confirmation card.

I got the papers for this card at the Scrapp med hjertet crop a couple of weeks ago, but it had no product line so I'm not sure where it's from. It's gorgeous anyway! I die cut the sentiment with Spellbinders Stately Circles and decorated with all kinds of flowers and pearls in blue and purple. A couple of the roses got a little spritz of Glimmer Mist Moonlight, since I somehow didn't own a lot of blue flowers that matched the color scheme. A little seambinding bow, a pearl spray and a few butterflies from an MS punch makes the rest of it. Nice and easy, right? *lol* With the decorative paper I don't think it's neccesary with a lot of other stash.

I love this stamp from Stempelglede whith the quote from J. W. von Goethe: "Magic is believing in yourself. If you can do that you can make anything happen!"

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting and happy easter!

*Junior is invited to another birthday party. This time I had a little bit more time than the last time so I could play around a little more.*

*I've used papers from Graphic45 on Vanilla Bazzill base. The balloons are stamps from the Papertrey Ink stamp set Balloon Bash, stamped in Hero Arts Shadow Inks Soft Stone, hand cut and attatched a string of Bakers Divine Twine. Rundt konfirmasjonskort

*I was incredibly productive for me at the Scrapp med hjertet Crop last weekend and there was a couple of confirmation cards in the pile.*

*I've made a round card With papers from Graphic45 and stamps from Kort og Godt and Papirdesign. I also got to try the New star die that sweet Tove had bought from lilinkers.com. It's now really high up on my wishlist!
The sentiment is embossed in copper which is more shimmery that it appears in the photo. Pretty cool I think.*

*lol*
*I still haven't landed after a fabulous and productive weekend at the Scrapp Med Hjertet crop in Troms, but my dear, sweet and supportive husband has his birthday today and naturally got a result from the crop production, and it has to be blogged immediately according to himself. *lol*

*This was the first I made at the crop after a slow start, but I think he was happy. The papers are from Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics collection, other than that there's a lot of crop shopping here. The sentiment are from a set from Norsk Stempelblad, die cut with Spellbinders labels ten, inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo in the new 1x1 inch set that I bought at the crop. The large flower is from Prima, bought at the crop and so are the cute wooden stars from Wycinanka. The cheesecloth and pearls from Papirdesign came with me from home. So did the flowers from WOC that I inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain (also from the 1x1 set). *

*Simple insides with the decorative papers from Maja Design. I was supposed to have a large text stamp on the top side, but that was left at home so it'll have to come later. On the bottom page I wrote a personal greeting direct on the paper.*

*And if you've made insides you'll have to make something out of the backside too. Not that my darling would forget where the card came from but my personal stamp from Rox Stamps has the awesome property of fitting another stamp inside. Here I've used a small sentiment from a Kort og Godt stamp set.*

*Thank you for being so patient with me and my hobby darling and let me go to a crop on your birthday!! <3 font="">

With a little love

Here's a little crafty love from me today.
I love to work with sketches and when I saw the last one at Papertake Weekly I knew I had to make something with that sketch. And with all the love bugs flying around the challenge blogs these days, I did a Valentines card.

This adorable image is from artbymiran called With a little love, as always colored in with my ProMarkers. I even colored the pearls with ProMarkers. Since I didn't find any pearls with the right color I used the darker one from the dress on some white pearls.
I'm back in my favorite stack of Maja Design papers and used both Vintage Spring and Summer collections on this one. The panels are all inked and distressed with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and I brought out my sewing machine for some stitching around the edge and on the banner.
The chipboard heart from Melissa Frances is one of my favorite embellishments, only they shed so much glitter it's not even funny! So I decided to do something about it and covered it in Glossy Accent.

It's not that easy to see in the pictures, but I dotted the heart with Liquid Pearls Platinum, and a gold gel pen. I also used the gold gel pen on her armring and the wand. The wings and hearts got some Stickles Diamond on them. The edge stamping are stamps from Kort og Godt, stamped in Distress Ink Vintage Photo.
The big flower is from my stash and so old I can't even remember where I got it. It's one of those things I never find a use for. All the other flowers and the seambinding ribbon in the back, are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Colors:
Skin: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Ivory

Cheeks: Rose Pink, Pale Pink
Eyes: Slate, Lilac, Lavender
Hair: Burnt Sienna, Caramel, Sandstone
Dress: Rose Pink, Pink Carnation, Pale Pink
Wings: Lavender, Blender
Shadows: Satin, Linen (FM), blender

Sjokoladekort igjen

Her kommer nok et sjokoladekort. I rødt, hvitt og brunt denne gangen.
*Here's another chocolate card. In red, white and brown this time.*

*Unfortunately I don't remember where the paper is from, but the stamp is from Norsk Stempelblad, diecut with Spellbinders Labels Fourteen and decorated with a couple of snowflakes from the Martha Stewart Himalayan Snowflake punch. The snowflakes are covered with Stickles Icicle.*

*The inside is simple as usual. I've used an MS punch on the edge of the pocket.*

DT Charisma - More than one fold

Finally I’m back online! Got a bit of Internet issues here, but it’s all sorted out now, I hope!
The days have just vanished as I’ve been busy prepping the family for school and everyday life after a summer that seemed to last forever. And now it’s Thursday again. Not just any ol’ Thursday, it’s my oldest daughters first day of 5th grade in a new school, so it’s been really exciting both for her and me. Mostly me, I think. *S*
But that’s not the only exciting thing today. It’s time for a brand new challenge over at Charisma Cardz Challenges! Take a look at our sponsors this week.
 PRIZE ONE -

Here's a lil about Krista!
My name is Krista Smith. I am the artist behind the Etsy shop, Saturated Canary Digis. I began working in the stamping world about a year ago when I was hired to create rubber designs for the sweet Scottish company, Sugar Nellie. They launched my artwork under the name 'Simply Sassy.' I moved into the digital world just this past month (it's been a super busy month, indeed!). And-- I love it!! There is a little more freedom here, as I can create anything that pops into my head:)! I am so humbled by the artistic talent of the girls coloring in my designs-- it is truly an inspiration! Likewise, I am so thankful for the friendships I've made in this wonderful and lovely crafty community! It's been a true delight! I'd love for you to stop by my challenge/inspiration blog, Saturated Canary Challenge and join in the fun...And, while you're there, click over to my personal blog (Saturated Canary) and introduce yourself! I am a bit eclectic and touch on everything from family (I've got me a great one!) to fashion (obsessed!)...Please say 'hi!'...I'd love to be friends!:)

Krista has very kindly offered to sponsor this week one winner with a $10 Gift Certificate to her wonderful Etsy shop of some very beautiful Digi's!

PRIZE TWO -
The Stamping Chef was born in November 2012, after I (Tamara) decided to switch from the scrapbook community to the crafter side of designing. Drawing is my passion, and my style is fun, cute and doodlish..I think =D.  I love to see images come to life when they're colored by amazing crafters. Creating digital images can be a tedious process, but I love each and every step of it. I have a lovely bunch of ladies standing next to me, creating, giving me advice, and help me everywhere they can. I'm so totally new in this great adventure, but I love it! It's so totally different than I'm used to. I hope I can provide you with loads of cute, happy, funny images you can work with.
winner 3 digital images of their choice from The Stamping Chef store http://thestampingchef.oo.gd/

PRIZE THREE-
Delicious Doodles is a young company with myself,
Teri, as the Sole Trader/Designer.
I have doodled and sketched all of my life.
I started making greetings cards when my last child was born, and used my doodles on them as I couldn’t find what I wanted in the usual craft places.
I only started selling my images in the Autumn of 2009.
I design and hand/mouse-draw all of the images that are sold in the Delicious Doodles Shop. Some are cutsie animals, some are sketched flowers, there are a few men's images, fairies and also some 'darker' images featuring vampires, skulls and Gothic stuff, something for everyone!
Why not pop over and take a look.

Who are offering 4 digis of the winners choice!

Now for the challenge, and I have to say that I’m really looking forward to this, as we’re doing more than one fold this week. It’s been far too long since I’ve done anything but a regular card, so I set out to find something new and exciting for me.
Marianne has some awesome creations on her blog, so I really just had to take a pick and landed on this fabulous gatefold-with-a-twist kinda creation.

The large tag with the image on keeps the card closed. Unfortunately she didn’t have any tutorial or links to templates, so I had to think twice before I understood how it was done. But it really wasn’t that hard. It’s made out from a 12x12” cardstock, scored at 3” on all sides. Get it? Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial on this, and I’ll see what I can do. ;-)

I really liked the look on this folded card, and I loved it even more when I got to combine it with some of my favorites at the moment, Maja Design papers and Saturated Canary digi stamps. The gorgeous paper are from the “Ska vi ta en Fika”collection. I'm purple passionate and I just love the colours on these papers, totally yummy! The Fika-collection is by no means new, but for some reason I never got around to buying them. But now, with my Maja-madness and purple passion I just had to have them and they came just last week. (And I do believe I need another refill pretty soon! *S*)

And the sweet Canary is called “Thank You”. Thanks to Krista for supplying the DT with these cuties! As always colored in with my ProMarkers.  Unfortunately I forgot to write down the colours this time. I think I used pretty much every purple/violet colour I own. *S* I’ve also used an edge stamp on this one. I’m not sure where it’s from.
Other materials I’ve used are: Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Kort og Godt, PaP-punches from Martha Stewart, ribbon and pearl from my stash, Distress Ink Walnut Stain and Fluid Chalk Creamy Brown.
Now, be sure to stop by the challenge blog for more inspiration and information and most importantly, link up your more-than- once-folded card. Can’t wait to see what you’ll do! *S*

DT Charisma - Flag colours

Charisma is back with a new challenge today and it's "Flag colours". Red, white and blue would be my natural choice for this, since it's the Norwegian flag colours, but I thought I'd take a different direction and chose the Sierra Leonean colours.

Green, white and blue got me going on a non-traditional baby card for a friend of mine who just got a darling little baby boy.

I've used a Melissa Frances paper for the background and I think the green one is from The Paper Loft. I punched an edge with an MF punch and added a navy blue satin ribbon. The front panel with the sentiment is die cut with Spellbinders Labels Sixteen and stamped with Inkido Stars in Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire. The sentiment is from Kort og Godt.

Now it's your turn to pick a flag and get creative! Need some more inspiration? Hop on over to the challenge blog to see what the other gals came up with. And don't forget to check out the great prizes from our sponsors.

Challenges:

Lilla konfirmant

*Even though was a blizzard here last night, the spring isn't far away. And with spring follows confirmations, so todays card is the first confirmation card of the year for a young lady.*

*I've really got to use things that have been in my stash for a while. The papers are from Memory Box, bought one maybe two years ago and never used until now! The lilac lillies are from Papirloftet, same as the ribbon, while the bling is from Papirgleder. And those who know the mentioned stores know that it's been a while since they were in business, so that says a little bit about how long the things have been in my stash. But not everything on this card is old. The rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and contiously changing in my stash even though the aster flowers are not much used. The flourish is diecut with a Magnolia die which is in constant use around here and the sentiment from Kreativ Hobby may be an oldie but a goodie on confirmation cards.*

*The digi stamp is Sweet 16 from Saturated Canary. Shoud I say "as usual" since I always seem to end up with a canary almost every time I pull out the markers. And as usual we're talking ProMarkers. The selection is more or less as listed below. The Canary also got some Diamond Stickles on even though it was really hard to capture on the photo.*

Hud/skin: Coral, Sunkissed pink, Blush, Pastel Pink
Øyne/eyes: Sky blue, Cool Aqua, Soft Aqua (FlexMarker)
Hår/hair: Black, Umber, Burnt Sienna
Kjole/dress: Aubergine, Slate, Lilac, Lavender
Andre/others: Mint green, Pastel green, Cool grey 1-3, 5, Fuschia pink

Mojo Monday

I was actually on my way to bed when I realized I almost missed the deadline on the Mojo Monday contest, and I love Mojo Monday sketches and Verve Stamps, so I couldn't let that happen. I got upstairs and whipped up this card real quick.

I grabbed the first piece of leftover paper that was on my desk, and that was the dark turquoise one from Kaisercraft Utopia Collection. Got a couple of other pieces from the same paper pad, stamped up and die cut the most wonderful sentiment I know of (from Verve of course) and inked the edges slightly with Distress Ink Dusty Concord. Since there are tons of challenges related to love, hearts and/or Valentine's around these days, I thought I'd catch a few of them too, so I punched out two little purple hearts that are peeking out from underneath the bow. And there you have it, a card for a loved one.

Love is in the air

;-) *We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day here, but these cards are so qute so I'm sure I'll find an occasion for them anyway. ;-) *

*I've used papers from Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics collection and decorated with oodles of flowers and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts.*

*The image is from Phindy's Place, coloured with ProMarkers (see colours below). The wings got some Diamond Stickles on them.*

Skin: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Ivory, Dusky Pink (cheeks)
Lips: Rose Pink
Hair: Tulip Yellow, Buttercup, Primrose
Hearts: Rose Pink, Pink Carnation, Blossom
Wings: Morning Mist

DT Charisma - Hearts and flowers

It's time for another challenge with Team Gem over at Charisma Cardz Challenges. This week we're looking for hearts and flowers. And as always we have some fab prizes to offer:

PRIZE ONE

Stamp Fairy are generously offering our lucky winner a $10 voucher to their online store! Wow!

PRIZE TWO
MarkerPOP.com

Marker Pop are a new sponsor of ours!! They are generously offering a $10 voucher for their online shop, be sure to pay them a visit!!

Here's what I did for the challenge:

I started out with a plain pink background, but I thought it was too boring, so I stamped the heart stamp from SU Sprinkled Expressions stamp set all over it in Memento Angel Pink. Then I found some ancient papers in my stash to go with the cute little bunny from our sponsor Stamp Fairy. I believe the pink one is from EK Success. The grey one I have no idea. All I know is that it's flocked and I've never found a use for it until now.
The sentiment is from the same SU stamp set and I've stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black. Doesn't look black to you? Well, you're right. I thought the pure black print was too hard, so I used the second print which looks a lot more grey and match the colour scheme much better. :-)
All the flowers are from a punch set from Panduro (Marvy?) and some of them got a bit of Stickles Frosted Lace on them.
The image is coloured with ProMarkers:
Grays: Warm Grey 1, 2 and 4
Ears and paws: Budding Rose, Morning Mist, Almond
Heart and bows: Baby Pink, Blossom, Rose Pink

Kickin' off 2013

*Finally I got started in 2013! My mojo was really deep down after a long and somewhat unvoluntary christmas break, but the deadlines were starting to sneak up on me, so I just had to force something out now.
The past few days I've been tagging along for Natalie Kalbach's Creative Jump Start Summit 2013. Daily inspiration with lots of different contributors each with a different approach on the task. Lots of fun to watch and I've got several ideas, so yesterday (last night) I finally got to try out a few of the techniques and ideas. Although the finished project here doesn't have anything to do with the CJS! *lol* But I guess that was some of the point. We all need jump starting some time and I got to warm up with some unfinished project and a finished project (coming tomorrow) before I got to the project that I really liked making and this was it. Clean and Simple, with a splash of colour - just the way I like it! :-)
The colour splash is Glimmermist Sweet Pea that I blew out on cardstock with a straw (!!). Other materials are: Black and white cardstock (Bazzill and Europris), Spellbinders Circle dies, black roses from WOC, a piece of string and a chipboard piece from my scrap stash and a sentiment from Kort og Godt.

By the way, I've been hinting about a little surprise for one of the commenters on my "Top 10 post". If you haven't seen it yet there's still time. I'll be drawing a winner on January 20th. ;-)*

Awesome, right!?
Well on to the challenge of the day, you know Santa Claus is coming to town! In just a few more days! Well, I have to say, beeing practically Santa's next-door neighbor I've already seen him and his reindeer around the neighborhood over the past few weeks, I guess he's busy checking his list. I know which one I'm on! *lol* But aaaanyhoo, here is what I did for this challenge:

I made a chocolate card with papers from Maja Design and a cut out image from Papirdesign. The sentiment is another cut-out, and the poinsettia is a Magnolia die.

On the inside there's a pocket for a chocolate bar. On the pocket I've used an MS edge punch.

Here's the chocolate bar in place.
If you wanna have a go at this you'll find the tutorial at Marianne's blog.

Sjokoladekort

*Believe it or not but I've never tried these popular chocolate cards before, but when my daughter orders mum has to deliver. So I spent most of the night to make four chocolate cards that she would give her teachers today.  I used the tutorial from Marianne, that turned out to be nice and easy. But a little warning might be in order: Different chocolate bars have different sizes, this template fits 100 g Milkchocolate or "Firkløver" from Freia. Other chocolate bars might require adjustment of the measurements!*

*All of them are not much decorated, there are limits to what you'll take on at 2 am when you've still got three more cards to do. On this one I've used papers from Maja Design, Spellbinders Labels fourteen, snowflakes from a MS punch and stamps from Kort og Godt.*

*The insides are even simpler with a pocket for the chocolate bar and a place to write a greeting die cut with Spellbinders. The edge of the pocket is punched with MS Cherish edge punch.*

Her er sjokoladen på plass i lommen, nesten klar for levering. ;-) *Here's the choc bar in it's place almost ready for delivery. ;-)*
